Let's be honest, Minecraft is just $27. It's a great game, not up to par with the current gaming graphics but it serves as one of the best innovative indie game there is on the market. I see people reasoning out why they should get it for free but the more reasons they throw out, the more ridiculous it sounds when they hear themselves arguing about it and later buys an Xbox One or Playstation 4 and show it off to their facebook wall. If you have become irritated by this post, I do apologize but I have one clear statement I want to show here. There is no such thing as a free lunch and if you really want something, there's alot of ways to get it, right? So quit reasoning and buy the game or just leave it be.

One last note, those who reason out that they're dirt poor and don't have money to buy games, why are you so obsessed in playing games when you should prioritize your life first? Stress-reliever, please, it's not everyday gaming can relieve any amount of stress. If you can't pay the bills on time, then don't waste your money on useless stuff like cigarettes, alcohol, parties, take-outs, go budget your money wisely than drag your personal problems in doing piracy or some form of illegal stuff. It's unhealthy and continue doing it will just make it worse. I've seen people that have lost their house, their family, their loved ones just because they're too addicted to whatever they want. I just want this to be a reminder that life is too short and hope that you're doing well than the others who have done mistakes in their life.

XCOM: Enemy Within: Impossible Ironman

I tried my first time for this month on playing on the Impossible difficulty. Sad to say, I was sent laughing off my chair at how hard the transition is from Normal straight to Impossible. 9 Sectoids appeared with a slightly bigger HP and my 4 rookies didn't stand a chance! Oh man, I'm still laughing at this moment and just wanted to share my first experience on this difficulty. Oh well, going back to the Normal difficulty first then Classic and when I get the hang of it, I'm going back and doing the Impossible one!

Oh yeah, I got my hands on a Civilization V game and not sure if I should play it or not. I'll have a week to decide whether or not I'm into playing it but hopefully it would interest me that I'd go do a youtube series of it. Til then, cherrio!

From the preview, it looks like they'll be having another court trial with new guests with a new twist. The guilty versus the chasers is what it seems like. Not really sure if it will be the same with a defendant like the one episode where they'd be in court but maybe they're all guilty for something and needs to find clues so that they could prove that they're not guilty. It also looks like they're teamed up into two groups by the way they have two colored suits. But you may never know, Running Man never seems to stop entertaining me since episode 1!

Simple missions that you'd think require problem solving but it just needs a person who'd think out of the box. That's what this episode was about. It was surprising how the result would be like because it wasn't expected but all in all, the show still delivers in the weekly entertainment I have anticipated for. With guests Bo-ra (Sistar), Han Hye-jin, Lee Seung-gi, the teams were divided by twos. Starting off with the swimming pool chairs, it was funny how the Running Men saw it the first mission.

The missions looked easy enough to do but how they started off with little hints as Ji Suk-jin, HaHa, and Kang Gary got the first important hints to start it off. They had to find the first location using the number they were given. All teams managed to find the bus station with the number 14-357 which started the next series of missions. Every team had to predict how many passengers would go off the bus in that stop while they were piggy-back riding.

If they failed, they have to squat 5 times with their partner and if they passed, they went directly to the next mission, where the location was HaHa's shop.

Here they had to pick a card with a corresponding number on it, and they have to finish that many hot potatoes in under 1 minute. Hilarious to see how they tried doing it the first time but as I am a fan of potatoes, I guess it's really hard to eat a very hot potato that just came out of the steamer.

They all went to the next mission, where they had to pick three people from the crowd to participate with them. A big hula-hoop was rolled and all five team members have to jump over it while it rolls. Funny how Kwang Soo sabotaged all of the challenges made and Gary had to endure a two-time accident due to Kwang Soo trying to make the other teams fail. Funny how Song Ji-Hyo came and clobbered him, as well as the Tiger Kim Jong Kook.

They all gathered at the last location where they were given a hint and need to unlock a door with the prize with a number combination. I guess I won't reveal who won in this episode because it was really unexpected. But funny because of how the members were teasing the winner til the last second of the show. Gaming: Planetary Annihilation, Command & Conquer Online, HEX TCG

Another great game that is destined to come out this month before the year ends, I have been waiting for a sequel to Total Annihilation but I guess this is as good as it gets. Started out as a Kickstarter project last year, it got at least $900k donations the last time I checked. I've revisited their website for details and I'm guessing it's bound to come out soon.

Now with that seen, I'm excited to add this game to my buy and play list. Look at its trailer here:

Command & Conquer Online. I had great expectations with the F2P online version but since seeing their announcement recently, I guess they scrapped the project and is going to make another version. I was hoping to play more of the franchise with other people but I guess the expectations of players didn't meet the C&C standards. I played Tiberium Alliance before but it wasn't as action-packed like the original ones from before. Good luck and hope to see a better one soon!

And lastly, two great games I'm anticipating soon is Hex TCG. Hex TCG may look like Magic the Gathering Online but I'm sure they did something to spice it up a bit further. What worries me is that they've partnered up with Level-Up Games to distribute the game in Asia. I do not like LU that much as a publisher but I'm hoping they'll be doing a better job than just letting hackers and grievers do damage to a good looking game. True that they own the majority of PH gamng, I hope they have a great group of dedicated Game Master to monitor and control its gamers for Hex.

Blade & Soul: Not Gonna Play Unless There's a SEA Version

Blade & Soul beta has opened its doors and most of my friends have started playing it. The funny part, it is not in English so tough luck to those expecting a great game to play however there are a few who have translated it for English players. Kudos to them and good luck to those playing there! I won't play because eventually the SEA version would appear and I don't want to restart and lose my account on the one that is currently available. However, I have started raking up guides and other videos regarding the game and I stumbled upon a cute and non-gameplay related video of the game. Enjoy!

XCOM: Enemy Within: Best Mission Result Evar!

Recently I have stumbled upon one particular mission that is given to you by the Council. Some said you need to make sacrifices in order to complete the mission. Others said it was very hard but not impossible to save all of them but the chances were pretty slim. Thankfully, I managed to finish the mission with flying colors. Maybe lady luck was with my side that it appeared very late in the game whereas on my first try, it was given to me when I was still building the MEC and Genetic facilities.

I used my Assault to head the mission, one with mimetic skin and close combat specialist, thinking that I could run and gun my way out of there. So I proceeded with my heavies covering the rear and my MEC and support following the Assault. My Sniper got into a position where she could cover my front members but is covered by the heavies.

I killed off three of those zergs first before climbing up the ship with only my assault. Rushed to the control room. Next turn initiated the zergs coming out of the whale. Assault could reach the switch and head back to full cover to conceal herself. Everyone on overwatch and my assault soon reached my MEC and support. All three rushed towards the evac area while my heavies and sniper gunned down anything that moved. Almost had a misclick where it prompted if I want to end the mission and evac my only assault in the area or continue with the mission. Then the cutscene of pure awesomeness.

Well there you have it. A mission that I thought wasn't possible to finish in one piece. I'll try to bring more analysis on the next mission so that I could help out others who are having difficulty with the game. I haven't tried Impossible level yet so maybe I'll do that after I finish this round. Til then, cheerio!

Warframe: Mag Prime is Mine!!!!

Today will be a milestone in my Warframe career. I have finally collected the necessary parts to make Mag Prime. I've been trying to get her since U10 but I guess I got it with my patience and all the luck in the world.

Another milestone for me is reaching the 35th minute of survival. Although it was just in Apollo, Mercury, it was still a jam packed action with my World on Fire just poking a little at those heavies! Glad to have reached the extraction point before they all swarmed in all directions!

Now the last frame I can obtain is Ember Prime. Capture Void keys are tough to get nowadays. I don't even know where to start hunting for these keys. Some said that it was giving in Corpus Def/Survival missions as rewards but I'm not sure if that's the real case. Time to do some research on the internet and hope to get her soon. Minecraft: 1.7.2 servers

I recently checked the servers I used to play in, found that they've upgraded their servers to 1.7.2. However, when I tried to play, it was very laggy and had a few disconnection bugs. I hope they would just revert back to the 1.6.4 servers which were more stable rather than just upgrade it to 1.7.2 and get as much people into the game as possible due to trends. I mean, you won't lose that much players since most reverts back to the 1.6.4 clients on their launcher because of the mods not able to be updated at the moment. I guess I'll just wait and enjoy 1.6.4 for a bit til that time comes, the new mod API comes out officially from Mojang. Til then, cheerio!

I haven't played much Minecraft for two days now, busy with work and with other games like Warframe and XCOM: Enemy Within. Hopefully I'd start a new journal of my Minecraft Adventures. I am still trying my best to talk but my throat would only last for five minutes and then I would get a cracking type of voice and I sound like I'm getting the sore throat and then cough more. I did try to see a doctor about it and he said that my vocal chords are somewhat small for my size, mind you I'm 5'11" and somewhat fluffy. He did recommend me to get a surgery to fix it or to talk more so that my throat would develop. So I now have a daily morning regiment of reading out loud the news on several websites. I get to three or four before I start having problems but no worries, I'll continue doing it til my throat gets better.

I don't know if I am the only person with that problem. Sometimes when people talk to me, I just talk in short sentences to get my message through but when it comes to a group discussion, I just sit there and listen and smile. I don't know if it's a psychological problem or it's just who I am. Kinda frustrating in some aspects when I want to say something but then my voice does not want to cooperate with me, I just go back to silent mode and hope nobody would pinpoint on why I'm so silent. Anyways, good thing for blogs, I can transfer what I want to say with the use of a keyboard. Maybe some of you are thinking, how can I be silent at work? Simple, I just do simple programming and data entries for a living. Not the dream job I wanted but it helps out pay for the basic needs of survival. Anyways, cheerio!

Warframe: Valkyr is Mine!

I'm excited to test out the new warframe called Valkyr. And I'm going to nickname her, Valerie! Can't wait for 4 days! Also had a titan extractor built so I could farm resources while I'm away. Hopefully I get some more neural sensors because I somehow need those to build helmets. I guess I'll go back in farming for Ember Prime and Mag Prime. I gave up on Excalibur Prime because it was only attainable via the Founder's Package, which is no longer available. So far so good for my collection of frames.

I'm a huge fan of Family Guy and for several years I have watched how the Griffin family and their pet dog Brian entertained me. Those were the good years I must say, however the sad news of Brian getting killed in the recent episode brought me to realize something. Life is short, a pet's life is shorter. Although this is still a fictional show, I somehow got attached to him due to his intellectual humor with Stewie. I've read in some articles that he'll be replaced by a new dog called Vinny. i don't think it's good to have him replaced that fast but if that's how the writers want it, nothing can be done. Hopefully they could revive Brian back or Stewie invents another time machine to bring another Brian into the series for some while. Saddening but that's reality of life. I just hope Vinny would deliver and has the same entertainment value that Brian had. With that said, hope Family Guy knows what they're doing.

From seeing the preview of Running Man 174, it looks like another riddle solving episode involving numbers and if they can't decode it, they disappear one by one. Not sure how the missions will look like but I think it they would be grouped into partners first then the last mission is an individual race. Guests Lee Seung Gi, Yoon Bora and Han Hye Jin look amazing and I'm looking forward to seeing it next week. Til then, hwaiting!

This week's episode of Running Man starts with the continuation from last time. Running Man cast with Suzy and Ryu Hyun Jin heads out to find hidden pillows however some who don't find it would have to clean up and do dishes that they used in episode 172. Ryu Hyun Jin is adorable as he continues to help out Suzy in some missions, even blushes whenever they try to make them look like a couple. I thought they'd be a cute couple if they really went out but I don't know if Ryu Hyun Jin or Suzy already have someone else.

After a good rest, they head out into the marketplace where they would do a mission with the money they earned throughout the past two episodes. They had a dance showdown with the use of a digital counter that measured how many times they moved. Suzy was sexy as usual and won that round, however due to the unexpected crowded nature, it was impossible for them to do the next mission and was given an alternative mission that involves the use of books to flip coins and the first one to do so in three succession will win that mission. It's funny how Jae Suk did it the first time around, almost had it but failed on one of the coin flips. Gary almost had it but instead of hitting the book, he hit the coin that prevented it from flipping over. Jae Suk won that round and they moved to the next venue.

With the introduction of new guests, they were set to play another Super Power Baseball. Even though it was their first time in Running Man, Jeong Keun Woo, Lee Byung Kyu, Kim Hyun Soo, and Shin Kyung Hyun blended well with Running Man and provided funny moments. Suzy, who was not familiar with baseball, had some problems keeping up with the flow however big guy Ryu Hyun Jin helped her alot as they played. Even teaching her how to use the bat to hit the ball. That scene was adorable!

It was a close game, the last inning was intense as they tried to narrow the 3-point lead of the other team. Lots of super powers were unleashed, funny moments to be seen, but in the end, one team emerged victorious. I won't tell you guys who won but I'll let you finish watching the episode with suspense! Another good watch for this week, can't wait for the next episode of Running Man. Hwaiting!

Thoughts: Log Horizon Episode 8

I just recently watched the newest installment of Log Horizon and I was expecting some action again but instead of them being in an actual battle, the episode seems to have taken the intellectual battle path. I would have probably said that this path is what makes me bored in seeing in anime or movies but Log Horizon made me stay on my chair and watch the entire episode with me wanting more. It looked like it will become one of my personal favorites, along with Sword Art Online, Death Note, and Code Geass. A total of 25 episodes and not yet halfway, everything is looking good on my end. Log Horizon delivers what I wanted and the only thing missing would be someone cosplaying Akutsuki and I get to have a picture with her.

Just a quick though post about the anime, nothing to spoil it too much but if you haven't watched Log Horizon, start watching it today with episode 1! I'd rate it a 9/10 now but it may change depending on how the story flows and how they would end it or have it setup for a second season or even a full-blown long series like Naruto and Bleach. Man, those two anime are long but filled with fillers. Hope they don't do that kind of thing but I guess I can't complain much since Log Horizon is doing better.

XCOM: Enemy Within Newbie

I am not ashamed to tell others if I'm a newbie of a game. However, I will be when I have been playing the game for a long time (1 month or more). But for XCOM, I can't say for sure since I've been playing the franchise starting with Apocalypse, went on hiatus when the next one came, and then went back to playing with Enemy Unknown. I blazed past that and was content on how 2k Games and Firaxis rebooted the franchise. It was epic. Until they released an update called Enemy Within, it felt the same way with Enemy Unknown however with more stuff to do and material that I need more than 1 day to figure stuff out. I don't know if I am doing the right thing but that's games for you, there is no right way and you'll have to figure it out on your own, a trial and error in which is the essence of gaming.

Just a small side rant, I met someone who plays games and when he can't figure it out, he just rage quits and calls the game "lame." I'm not sure what his problem is in life but I did tell him that he should be more patient with the game if he was to enjoy it. He just said that games only make him rage and waste money and that he'll never buy any more and would just download pirated games for his own displeasure. I know it's a bit crazy but I don't know what games he'll be able to enjoy. Even when I introduced him to Minecraft, he just sat there and looked at me like I was an idiot and told me Minecraft was for kids and the graphics was lame. Til this day, he's trying to find new games and I doubt he'll enjoy any of them if he continues his way of playing. Anyone out there know a good game for a short tempered person with high expectations?

Anyways, back to XCOM: Enemy Within. My friend got the game and hurriedly went to my house so that we could unbox it and install it. So he was on the driver seat and I was the strategist. He hasn't played Enemy Unknown but he knew I was good at games. So here we are, Day 2 of playing the game and here's a few feedback.

The game still has its awesome features. New mechs, meld, enemies, and I think a better AI. There were a few times when the game would slow down and the enemy turn would take at least 2 minutes before handing the turn over to us. Not sure if there'd be a hotfix for that but no worries, we're still chugging thru mission after mission with minimal casualties. Until we encountered the dreaded fishing village mission.

At first, it was filled with zombies. Then came the chryssalids in a swarm. Then later got overwhelmed before we could push the button and it ended up pretty nasty. I mean, most of our team got killed, turned to zombies, which in turn attacked and killed the remaining team and sad to say, failed our first mission.

We called it a day and will be revisiting the mission with a new campaign. Yes we are starting over since we don't have a saved game of the campaign and we weren't in Ironman mode. We are doing Normal on our first game so I guess it's a big lesson for us to reconsider the cautious approach. Til then, cheerio!

First off, I'd like to share some exciting news. Mojang has released what most people are waiting for, live stream integration with partnership of Twitch. I haven't tried twitch yet but I've seen a few live streams in there that is worth your while. The new snapshot has that implemented and you can connect your Twitch to your Mojang account via the minecraft.net website and then modify your options via in-game settings.

In another note, Mojang looks to be changing their logo to a more professional looking one.

Gaming: December Fun!

December is just right around the corner and what I have right now is good news. A friend of mine is getting a copy of Minecraft and X-Com: Enemy Within. What excites me the most is that he doesn't have a PC but wants to play both games. He got the money to buy the games, I got the PC that can handle them both. We are gonna take turns playing the game but I guess I'll get more game time than him since I can play whenever he isn't at home.

So I guess I'll go find some good microphone I have in the closet and test it out so that when the time comes, I can really record and do some gameplay with commentary so that I could become a better speaker and probably enhance my social media from just this blog and into Youtube, Twitter, Tumblr, and whatever social media there is to start my own channel. I'm not aiming big but starting with small stuff and hopefully it will grow as time goes by. If you have any suggestions or advice for a newbie in this type of endeavor, please comment below. I know I don't have that much of a big reader base but I guess I can start by becoming more interactive to you guys.

Also I have been planning out what I want for 2014. New Years Resolution and whatever goals I can achieve within that year. I just wish that it could be better than it would be this year. I know everyone wants that to happen sometime in their lives but wishes and prayers never go unanswered. Hopefully there'd be a miracle that would show me alot of opportunities that I could grab unto and then see where it leads off.

Warframe: Update 11, Hunt for Alad V, and lots of new updates!

Today marks another day for Warframe, Update 11 has been released and right now I'm testing a few stuff like the Codex, scanners, new weapons, and the new mechanics. I got lost with the new GUI, couldn't find my contact list and chatbox but it's cleverly tucked in the right side.

Anyways, I would love to get my hands on Valkyr as soon as possible but I guess I have to wait since Alad V's location isn't known yet until the current event has finished. New tilesets for Jupiter is great, couldn't ask for more. J3 Golem is easier to kill with the new boss location, still in Theminos Jupiter but later will be replaced with Alad V, I think.

But for now, I'm gonna rank my newly made Vauban which was sitting in the foundry for months when I went into hiatus due to the lack of updates since U10. And I guess it's time to show how he looks like.

Battle pay is back for more as you defeat the infestation from invading Jupiter and reveal Alad V's location. New weapons and trading system implemented. I haven't tried the trading system yet but hopefully when we get the trading post in the dojo done, I can test that one out. Also got a 50% off plat price as login reward today, so I might take advantage of that later within the day. So far so good, DE, keep it up and surprise us!

Final note about the new damage and armor revamp, not sure if I should be happy or not because there's alot to absorb now but hopefully I can make light on the topic soon. Til then, cherrio!

I thought this was a good move by a company. Although Coca-Cola is already is popular even without advertisement, I'm a Coke addict myself, I guess a portion of what I buy on Coca-Cola products will go to the ones in need. I hope several others will follow this example. Even though I've already donated to help the victims via several charity channels, I might give up some of my savings to help out even further.

On another note, I just wished others would stop taking advantage over this type of events where people would put their names on the relieve goods distributed to the needy. I mean, did they really donate those stuff where other anonymous donator without thinking gave the basic necessities to those who lost everything? Stop being greedy and start becoming human for once in a while! Sure you will be remembered as "I gave you this so you should remember who to vote for" but I'm perplexed at how low they can get. I won't give out names but you know who you are. If you stumble into my blog for some apparent reason and you think I'm wrong, I am open to an open discussion with anyone and share more of my opinions on why it is better to be a good Samaritan than to be advertising for future elections where the people need you the most.

I'm a huge fan of X-Com and the first X-Com I played was X-Com Apocalypse. It brought gaming to another level to my gaming experience at that time and let me tell you, once you played it, you want them to make more and better ones. But there were some years that went by and the next X-Com games were just not that good. Until X-Com Enemy Unknown came out and I had a blast again. Nostalgia.

X-Com Enemy Within is a DLC for Enemy Unknown, which adds more content and spice into the fray. Personally, I think it was good for them to add defense mission where you need to defend your base against intruders that want to stop your operations of saving the planet from alien invasion. A new group called EXALT has added a new depth into the game where they want the aliens to come to Earth and be their slaves. Not sure how anyone would think that way but if aliens are coming to our planet with domination in mind, why would you want to help them?

A new type of resource is introduced called Meld, where you can use it to upgrade your soldiers into mechanical robots to boost your firepower (when I first heard how it was done, I had goosebumps all over my skin. They literally had to remove a soldiers limbs and augment robotic parts to become stronger)

It may sound scary but I guess if it was for the best way to defend the planet, then why not! I'd rather be the researcher in the lab than be a soldier that gets their limbs cut off or just be a regular soldier and rank up fast. Here's a few shots to show how badass these new type of soldier is.

Also can do research to increase a soldier's survivability in battles with improved genetics.

And when you think you got the edge over the aliens, new aliens with their own upgrades can be seen and fight against.

Last but not the least, defense missions will occur randomly throughout your campaign against alien invasions.

Do you think you can save the planet or would you just let the aliens take over? I got my secret weapon ready to blast these aliens out of our airspace and make those supporters hide from fear with this outfit!

With everything I've seen so far ranging from Let's Play's and Reviews on the internet, I guess I'll be waiting to get my hands on this game as soon as possible!

Thoughts: PRE Running Man 173

From the preview I saw on Running Man 173, it looks like we are getting another taste of Running Man Baseball with Superpowers! And we also get a new set of guests, not sure if they're baseball players as well or actors but new guests are good to see now and then to spice up the show.

There isn't much detail about the next episode but we can probably enjoy the recent one (RM 172) and hope that 173 will bring another set of laughter to our doorstep.

From what I saw, there was a superpower that brings the outer walls closer for easier homeruns, a baseball throw that lights up into fire and disappears, and acupuncture mats from one base to another (funny how they tried to run across and immediately give up with a face of pain. Not that I like seeing others having pain but it's all good for the variety type humor. Also saw a big baseball and other stuff that I might have missed. If you like Running Man, we can all say together til this episode shows. 1...2...3 Hwaiting!
