The DBA Cockpit provides a new access to monitoring and administration of DB2 UDB for UNIX and Windows.

You can start the DBA Cockpit by either calling transaction DB6COCKPIT or any of the transactions listed below.

There is a navigation frame that appears on each CCMS screen for DB2 UDB for UNIX and Windows. This frame contains a tree structure with the main task areas of database administration:

Backup and Recovery            DB12
Configuration                        DB03
Jobs DB13, DB24
Alerts DB16, DB17
Diagnostics                          DB6COCKPIT

Incompatibilities and Affected Functions

If you use the new CCMS transactions without having the appropriate
executables installed, the following problems may occur:

o Some actions that are completely new will not work properly as they
are based on new functions provided by the underlying monitoring
programs.

o Some actions that have replaced old functions will show no or
misleading results because of incompatible changes in the underlying
monitoring programs.

If you use a 4.6D kernel, the following actions are affected:

o Performance - Lockwaits
The results can only be displayed as a table. If you select the
layout graph, an error occurs.

o Performance - History - Database
Old history records that were collected before the new DBA Cockpit
was installed are no longer displayed.

o Space - History
Old history records that were collected before the new DBA Cockpit
was installed are no longer displayed.

o Backup and Recovery - Backup Overview (DB12)
For monitoring, no data is available.

o Backup and Recovery - Logging Parameters
The log archive directory is not readable and cannot be displayed.

o Configuration - Database Manager
The field Maximum Requester I/O Block Size is not displayed
correctly.

o Configuration - Database
The field Collate Sequence Type is not provided with any content.

o Configuration - Parameter Changes
Old change records that were collected before the new DBA Cockpit
was installed are no longer displayed.

o Configuration - CLP Commands
The function CLI configuration does not work.

o Jobs - DBA Planning Calendar (DB13)
You cannot switch the planning mode from local to global. The latter
is a 6.10-related function that needs the central 6.10 planning
calendar.
The new action Check Tables for Statistics Update is a prerequisite
for the action RUNSTATS and REORGCHK (DBSTATC). You need to schedule
it separately.
Actions that use old executables (dmdb6bkp, dmdb6srp) do not set
return codes correctly for the planning calendar. Therefore the
colors that indicate the status of an action are not reliable.

If you use a 4.6C kernel, there are further actions affected:

SAP GUI 7.10 for Windows Installation on Citrix Presentation Server 4.5

The installation of SAP GUI for Windows on Citrix Presentation Server 4 is similar to a local SAP
GUI for Windows installation.

There are different ways to install the application:
· SAP Installation Server
· Installation CD / Network Setup

And there are different methods to deploy the application to the Presentation Server environment:
· Manual Installation
· Repackaging with Citrix Installation Manager
· Profile with Citrix Profiler and deploy via Citrix streaming technology
· Third-Party Tools

We recommend installing an SAP Installation Server first. But you don't need to install the Install
Server services; you only need the Install Server File share. The benefit here is that all necessary SAP
GUI for Windows and SAP Setup patches can be integrated into the Installation Server.

When you install from an SAP Installation Server, please disable the following registry key on your
Citrix server after the installation:

"HKLM\SOFTWARE\SAP\SAPSetup\SAPstart\AutoUpdate"

If this key is present, SAPGUI will try to connect to the update server each time it is started. And if
updates are available, they will be automatically installed on the environment. Citrix does not
recommend allowing auto-update functionalities. All updates should be tested and validated prior to
final installation in the Citrix environment, and this task should be performed by an administrator, not
a user. Also if the user doesn't have administrative rights, this still could have performance impacts.

this dump occurs if the transaction has 50 nested "call screen", and it
doesn't matter how
much users use the transaction at the same time - the dump occurs in one
session of one
certain user. Sure that you can redesign your transaction preventing nested
calls.

There is a difference between CALL SCREEN and SET SCREEN. If you use CALL
SCREEN you create new entry in screen stack. You should use SET SCREEN to
navigate between all screens. You should only use CALL SCREEN is you want to
display a screen (or window) on top of your current screen. After leaving
the call screen dynpro (set screen 0, leave screen) you automatically return
to the calling dynpro.

The runtime error "SYSTEM_IMODE_TOO_LARGE" is triggered if a user context or, more specifically, an internal session tries to use more than 2 GB of main memory. The restriction to 2 GB stems from the fact that signed 32-bit variables were frequently used. With unsigned 32-bit variables, memory sizes may be as much as 4 GB.

Solution

As of SAP_BASIS 6.20 Support Package 38, internal sessions can be larger than 2 GB and even larger than 4 GB on 64-bit hardware. In addition, the buffers for database tables and some other buffers can also be set larger than 2 GB and 4 GB, respectively. The Support Package has been available since the end of March 2004. The Support Package requires the 6.20 Kernel Patch Level 1269 or higher. Runtime error SYSTEM_IMODE_TOO_LARGE then no longer occurs. As of SAP_BASIS 6.40, the function is included without any additional Support Packages. For Releases 4.6B to 6.10, such a patch cannot be made available so the restriction to 2 GB still applies.
We therefore recommend that you consider the following if the "SYSTEM_IMODE_TOO_LARGE" runtime error occurs:

Are you using the application as intended? For example, a memory bottleneck may occur if you select too much data.

Does the memory consumption of the application depend on Customizing parameters whose settings may be inadequate?

Is the application program economical in its use of memory? For example, you must explicitly delete the contents of an internal table (FREE statement) before you can reuse the memory. This is significant, particularly if transactions are running for a long time. Furthermore, you can only use the garbage collector to release objects (class instances) and dynamically generated data objects if they can no longer be accessed using references; you must delete the corresponding reference variables. To examine this question, create a problem message under the component responsible for the application program, if you have not already done so.

The "Memory Inspector" is a tool that may be used to analyze the memory consumption of ABAP programs. This tool is available with SAP_BASIS 6.40 and with SAP_BASIS 6.20 Support Package 29. Among other things, the "Memory Inspector" displays ranked lists of large internal tables, strings and dynamically generated (data) objects. Furthermore, the tool displays dependencies between individual objects; this permits an analysis as to why certain objects cannot be released by the garbage collector. For information about analyzing the memory consumption (also for earlier releases), see Note 649327.
For Releases 4.6B to 6.10, you can use a profile parameter that is not globally released to increase the maximum size of an internal session from 2 GB to 4 GB. However, most monitoring tools are unable to correctly display values over 2 GB; this applies to Transactions sm04, sm50, st02, st03, se30, the memory consumption display in the debugger, some outputs in trace files and some other locations within the system. SAP can therefore only provide limited support for any internal sessions over 2 GB. If customers increase the maximum size of an internal session from 2 GB to 4 GB, they do so at their own risk. SAP shall not be held responsible for errors caused by internal modes over 2 GB. We cannot guarantee that no other errors than those mentioned here will occur. At present, however, we are not aware of any other errors that would seriously impair productive use of the application. We can provide the name of the profile parameter as well as information regarding the use of the profile parameter on request. For this, create a problem message with the BC-ABA-LA component. As of SAP_BASIS 6.20 Support Package 38 and SAP_BASIS 6.40, the profile parameter is no longer required and should be deleted from the profile, otherwise there is an upper limit of 4 GB.
The "SYSTEM_IMODE_TOO_LARGE" runtime error occurs regardless of the operating system platform and configuration of the memory areas. In particular, you cannot avoid this error by changing memory profile parameters such as ztta/roll_extension and abap/heap_area_nodia.
In Releases 4.6B to 6.10, 64-bit hardware is utilized in such a way that an application server can have a larger number of user contexts at the same time. In addition, various buffers (for instance program buffers, buffer for database tables) may now be up to 2 GB each.
The restriction of internal sessions to 2 GB was introduced when the aforementioned problems occurred; the restriction exists since the 4.6D Kernel Patch 1286 and the 6.20 Kernel Patch 368.

Create a Local Printer
1.    Call Tools → CCMS → Spool → Spool Administration (transaction SPAD). On the Devices/Servers tab page, choose Output Devices (leave the field to the right empty). If you cannot find the button to Create, choose Change to switch to change mode. Now create the printer Local## with the following specifications:

To create the suggested list, start transaction SA38 enter the report RSPFPAR, and execute it. Enter the parameter rspo* and choose Execute again. Alternatively, you can also print the output of transaction SM51.
To Print, choose the appropriate button. Alternatively, you can choose System → List → Print. Choose Local## as the output device (enter it directly or select it using the F4 help). Choose Continue without making any additional entries.

Create a Front End Printer (Optional)

1.6.4 Userid for applying Supportpackages

During applying supportpackages (aka. hotpackages) you need to be logged on to client 000 with a userid other then SAP*, but with the same authorizations.

1.6.5 Userid for configuring and maintaining STMS

During changing the Transport Management System using STMS you need to be logged on as TMSADM in client 000 on the transportdomaincontroller.

1.7 Logfiles

SAP logs almost any action and has a lot of trace-options. Here is a short listing for them:

· systemlog, viewed via transaction SM21, file stored in /work

·         developertraces, viewed via ST11 or SM50 and doubleclick the process (as of 4.x), stored in /work
dev_wX    log for workproces number X
dev_ms      log for workproces for the messageservice
dev_gw     log for workproces for the gateway
dev_disp log for workproces for the dispatcher
dev_tp       log for workproces for the transports

· startuplog, viewed via ST11

· stderrx, viewed via ST11, 3 or 4 files, hold more errorstatements

· trans.log, viewed via AL11, DIR_TRANS, transportlogfile

1.8 Traces

Tracefiles are very useful when analysing a problem.

· ST05 (System, Utilities, Performance trace) allows you to set a trace per user, transaction, program or process-id.

· SM50. Here you see the processes. Per proces you can see it’s corresponding tracefile via button ‘Show file’. The default trace-level is 1. You can change the tracelevel via Process, Trace, Dispatcher, Change tracelevel (of all processes, not per process).

2 Database

2.1 General databaseknowledge

Logging on to the database is done via:

· Log on as ora

· UNIX: svrmgrl (in Oracle 7.* this used to be ‘sqlplus’)

· NT: sqldba72 (or svrmgr23, svrmgr30)

· connect internal

2.1.1 Database-commands

2.1.1.1 SQL Select-statements

The V$-files contain the dynamic performance tables which hold the runtime information of R/3. To see all V$-files listed, go to ST04, detailed analysis, button display V$ values.

2.1.1.2 SQL Alter-statements

alter tablespace end backup; the tablespace will end its status of being backed up.

3.1 General

3.1.1 ftp

3.2.2 A little more complex commands

kill	Kill a process as if it is cancelled. Child processes are killed as well.
kill –1	Kill a process as if the user is logging out. Child processes are killed as well.
kill –9	Kill a process as brutal as possible. Child-processes are not touched.
kill –USR2	Increases TRACE by 1
kill –USR1	Decreases TRACE by 1. When TRACE = 0 all open trace files are closed and can be cleared using ‘cp /dev/null filename’.
lslv	Show the logical volumes
lsvg	Show the volumegroups
sappfpar check pf=	Checks the profileparameter. Do they exist and do they have correct values.
set VAR VAL	set environment variable VAR to value VAL
printenv	prints the environementvariables
ps –ef \|grep xxx	Monitor processes with name containing xxx
ps –u	Monitor processes run by user

Crontab

To schedule tasks you have to edit file crontab. Every line starts with five numbers and then a command. The numbers stand for minute, hour, day-of-month, month-of-year, day of week (0 for sunday).

The easiest way to edit the crontab file with a text-editor.

4 General issues

4.1 SAP Tools

4.1.1 dpmon

This tool allows you to check SAP’s processes and to find out which one is killing the performance. Especially useful when it is not possible anymore to log on to your system.

(Oracle: use adm to start this tool)

Start dpmon, type m for the menu

4.1.2 gwmon

This tool allows you to check if the gateway is running. It is an addition to transaction SMGW.

4.1.3 R3load

R3load is used to:

- import/export databases

4.1.4 R3setup

R3setup is used to:

- install SAP-databases

- import exported databases into existing databases

4.1.5 R3trans

R3trans is used to:

- test databaseconnections

- import the transports

r3trans –d-v	Tests the connection to the database
r3trans –l	Tests if the datafileis corrupt or not

4.1.6 sapdba, to be run as ora

Sapdba is run to collect the data for the optimizer. This is done in two steps: First ‘SAPDBA –checkopt PSAP%’ checks which optimizerdata needs to be updated, then ‘SAPDBA –analyze DBSTATCO’ gathers the data of the objects to be updated.

4.1.7 saplicense, to be run from the ..\exe\run directory

saplicense –test pf=../../profile/default.pfl	Tests if the license is still valid
saplicense –get	Gets the customer key (aka hardwarekey) need for the license
saplicense –install	To install the licensekey received from SAP
saplicense –show	Shows the current license

Request the license for the system by sending the fax included in the installation-kit to SAP.

4.1.8 saprouter

The CTS components are made up of the following:

1. Change and Transport Organizers (CTO).

These are composed of transactions SE01 (transport organizer), SE09 (workbench organizer), and SE10 (customizing organizer),

Transport Organizers use the Transport Management System for managing, controlling, copying, or moving, in an orderly manner,

Configuration steps

1. Configure the transport directory and TPPARAM.

The transport directory (/usr/sap/trans) is created by the installation program
TPPARAM (transport parameter file) is the in BIN die and it is a global parameter file and contain the entry of all the R3 system taking part in transport

2. Initialize the change and transport organizer (CTO).

first tasks to perform after the installation of the R/3 system.
This transaction distinguishes whether this R/3 system comes from a standard installation or from a systems or database copy.

3. Configure transport systems and routes. STMS

The first time this transaction is called, the system creates a transport domain controller, a central system where all configuration is done and then transferred to other systems in the group.

4. Create a development class.
The development class acts as a way to group together objects belonging to the same development project.

5. Create or modify an object.
The process of creating a new object (a table or a report, for example) or making a customization setting, automatically asks for the creation of a change request.

6. Release and export the transport.
Access the workbench organizer (SE09) or the customizing organizer (SE10
First release the tasks and then release the change request.

7. Import into the target system.

Imports can be

performed with the tp program at the operating system level by logging onto the target system as user adm, going to the /usr/sap/trans/bin directory,

Is a group of related R/3 system, each with its own database (its own SID) and its own role in the development and implementation process.

Transport Layer

A transport layer is used for grouping all the development objects that will always use the same transport routes within the same development system. Transport layers are assigned to all the objects that come from a specified development system.

Suppose a company has given some part of development to A company and other part to Company B then then all the transport object of A Company comes under one layer and the all the transport object of Company B comes under other layer so these two company comes under two different layers

If suppose these two company use the same trans folder that is shared between them then this is called same transport group

Transport Routes

The transport routes are used for defining the different routes that exist between two systems within the same system group. There are two types of transport routes:

6. Change the field name from P0001-AEDTM to P0021-AEDTM.

I verfied urer Profile/Owndata/parameters/ugr and it has my new company info type user group 2 digit #. What else I need to checck. Please help me.

Sun Cluster HA for SAP Overview
The Sun Cluster HA for SAP data service eliminates single points of failure in a SA system and also provides fault monitoring and failover mechanisms for the SAP application.
These basic services of the SAP system should be placed within the Sun Cluster framework:

Database instance
Central instance (consisting of message server, enqueue server, and dispatcher)
NFS file service

1. Introduction
SAP System Cloning − also known as Homogeneous System Copy (HSC) creates a copy of an SAP R/3 system where the operating system and the database version are the same on the target system.

2. Customer Requirements
In an SAP R/3 environment, a system copy is performed using either SAP R/3 Export/Import tools or using database-specific tools. The SAP R/3 Export/Import procedure uses a standard SAP-supplied transaction to export the data from the source database to a flat file and then to import the data into the target database. Note: This process is not recommended for large production SAP environments.

3. Introduction to the IBM TotalStorage DS6000 series
IBM Total Storage DS6000 series is newly released and is designed to provide high availability, multiplatform and simplified management tools for business critical storage work loads. It is designed to support 24x7 operations. The following list provides an overview of some of features associated with the DS6000 that allows the DS6000 to meet and exceed the customer DS6000 needs.

What Is This Guidebook About?
The System Administration Made Easy Guidebook, release 4.6C/D, continues in the direction of the 4.0B and 4.6A/B versions. The primary focus of this guidebook is the importance of the on-going nature of system administration. This book is written for a system where all installation tasks have been completed. Installation and related tasks, which are usually performed once, are not covered in this guidebook.
At the application layer, as shown in the following diagram, the various mySAP.com components are built on the Basis layer. The mySAP.com components include:

Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
Advanced Planner and Optimizer (APO)
BusinessWarehouse (BW)

Because this design uses a common Basis layer, tasks learned in SAP R/3 system administration can be leveraged for use with other mySAP.com components. Therefore, as long as the mySAP.com component has a Basis layer, you will be able to manage and administer it the same as all other mySAP.com components with a Basis layer.
Additionally, there may be administrative tasks specific to the component. Other components do not have a basis layer, such as:

Internet Transaction Server (ITS)
CRM, Communication Station (part of the CRM Mobile Sales component)
CRM, Business Application Studio, Development Server (part of the CRM Mobile Sales component)

Because these components do not have a Basis layer, the administration of these components is specific to the component itself. The system administration of these components will not be discussed in this guidebook.
While we do not go into the specifics of administering the various components, we will discuss the tasks that are common to them.

Except where there is a significant difference in the transaction (screen), enough to cause confusion, we will not make a distinction between a 4.6C transaction and a 4.6D transaction. Because screenshots will come from either a 4.6C or 4.6D system, the appearance of the screensmay be different from the system you are on.

You may see other visual differences between the screen shots in the guidebook and what you see on your system. In addition to the version difference mentioned above, several other factors will affect how a screen appears to a user, such as:

The level of the support packages that has been applied to the system.
The version and patch level of the GUI that is used.

We have tried to group items and tasks in job role categories, which allows this guidebook to be a better reference book.

Real-world practical advice from consultants and customers has been integrated into this book. Because of this perspective, some of the statements in this book are blunt and direct. Some of the examples we have used may seem improbable, but many are based on real situations.

Simplifying system administration tasks for a Made Easy guidebook is not a simple task. The material in this guidebook was carefully chosen, but may not be comprehensive.
Installation tasks are not presented. We assume that your SAP consultant has completed these tasks, in keeping with the guidebook philosophy.

Although there are chapters on problem solving and basic performance tuning, these chapters only serve to introduce the subjects. This guidebook is not meant to be a trouble shooting or performance-tuning manual.

Prerequisites
To help you use this guidebook, we defined a baseline for user knowledge and system configuration. The two sections below (User and System) define this baseline. Review these sections to determine how you and your system match. This book is also written with certain assumptions about your knowledge level and the expectation that particular system requirements have been met.

User
We assume that you have a baseline knowledge of mySAP.com components, the operating system, and the database. If you lack knowledge in any of the following points, we recommend that you consult the many books and training classes that specifically address your operating system and database. You should know how to complete the following tasks at the:

mySAP.com component level:

Be able to log on to the mySAP.com component
Know how to navigate in the mySAP.com component using menus and transaction codes Some screens do not have menu paths and can only be accessed with transaction codes. Navigating by transaction codes is faster and more efficient than menus.

Operating system level:

Be familiar with the file and directory structure
Be able to use the command line to navigate and execute programs
Set up a printer
Perform a backup using standard operating system tools or thirdparty tools
Perform basic operating system security
Copyandmovefiles
Properly start and stop the operating system and server

Database level

Properly start and stop the database
Perform a backup of the database

For an ongoing productive environment, we assume that the:

Technology Components for Browser-Based User Dialogs
Unit Overview
In this unit, you learn about a number of central technology components that are important if SAP systems are used for intranet or Internet applications. This course focuses on managing the components introduced here; development of these components is covered in other courses. The lesson entitled "Load Balancing in the SAP NetWeaver AS Java Environment" discusses some topics already covered in the previous lessons. Therefore, the main focus of this lesson is client-based load balancing.

The SAP Internet Transaction Server (ITS) is used with Web applications (IACs) and with SAP GUI for HTML. Depending on the system release and scenario in question, the functions of the SAP ITS can be implemented by means of a standalone ITS or using the ITS integrated in the AS ABAP.
The Internet Communication Manager (ICM) is the process that turns the conventional ABAP application server into a Web server or Web Client.
The Internet Communication Framework (ICF) provides an environment for handling HTTP(S) requests in the ABAP work process using Web applications such as BSPs.
With the usage type AS Java, the SAP NetWeaver Application Server provides a complete runtime environment for J2EE applications.
SAP Web dispatcher distributes HTTP(S) requests to a suitable application server (instance).

Tax on sales/purchases: Retrospective change of tax base

Symptom

In accordance with EU law (see the judgment of May 29, 2001, C-86/99, C-86/99, ECR 2001 p. I-4167), a retrospective change to the tax base for tax on sales and purchases is to be applied only from the point at which the buyer can actually use the credit memo.

In practice, this means that, in such cases, the tax on sales and purchases cannot be corrected when the credit memo is issued, but only at the time of payment or clearing.

In Germany, the German Federal Finance Court (BFH) issued its judgment on the issue on September 18, 2008, V R 56/06, published in the Bundessteuerblatt (BStBl) 2009 II, p. 250.
The BFH decided that reimbursements reduce the tax base in accordance with section 17 of the UStG (sales/purchases tax law) only in as far as the charge is actually refunded. Furthermore, the change to the tax base is to be based on the taxation period in which the refund occurs. This constitutes a change in the BFH legal position, which previously assumed that the tax amount owed for a delivery is to be corrected in the advance return period in which an agreement on the reduction of the purchase price is concluded (BFH judgment of November 30, 1995, V R 57/94).

The BFH justified the change in its legal position with reference to the judgment of the European Court of Justice in the "Freemans" case of May 29, 2001 (C-86/99, ECR 2001 p. I-4167). According to this decision, the issuing of a credit memo on the price of delivered goods does not result in a change of the tax base at the time at which the buyer's right to a refund occurs, but at the time at which the buyer can actually use the credit memo.

Consequently, the tax on sales and purchases must only be corrected at the time of payment or clearing in such cases.

The German Federal Ministry of Finances has incorporated the BFH judgment into the Umsatzsteuer-Anwendungserlass (UStAE) ("applicability order for tax on sales and purchases") of October 1, 2010 (see, in particular, section 17.1, p. 487-).

It is to be expected that similar changes will be required in other EU countries because this regulation results from a judgment of the European Court of Justice.

Solution

The "Deferred Tax" SAP function enables you to delay the tax entitlement until the time of payment or clearing.

It is a prerequisite for the "Deferred Tax" function that such cases (for example, retrospective credit memos, discount settlements) are posted with a separate tax code.

The relevant transfer postings are performed using the report RFUMSV25 (see the report documentation for more information) or using the report RFUMSV50.

In the sales returns, it is not possible to cancel a carried out settlement again. Instead, you must manually cancel all created documents separately using the corresponding transactions.
This manual activity is laborious, error-prone and not reproducible by means of the SD document flow.
Therefore, an automatic cancellation is made available.

This enhancement contains extensive source code changes, new repository objects and interface changes.
Therefore, this enhancement is only available by means of the assigned Support Package.

The following documents are created during the cancellation:
Cancellation documents for all MM documents for which a cancellation document does not yet exist.
The credit memo request is deleted if for this credit memo request does not yet have a credit memo. If a credit memo exists, then it is cancelled and the items of the credit memo request are set to a reason for rejection that is defined as not relevant for billing.

Processing credit memos for selection logic 'B'

Symptom

If you use selection logic 'B' (reporting based on invoice receipt) to select intra-European-Union trade statistics (Intrastat) for purchase order documents, the system issues incorrect or incomprehensible results if there are vendor credit memos in the reporting period.

Reason and Prerequisites

The problem with using selection logic 'B' is that, according to the definitions, the system only takes into account invoice transactions (invoice receipts, credit memos, subsequent debit, subsequent credit) and ignores goods movements during the selection.
Invoice transactions are not entered with reference to a goods movement but with reference to a purchase order. Therefore, if there is a credit memo, this means that it could be preceded by a return delivery to the vendor, or it could be a type of value credit memo (for example, because the goods delivered were damaged). This would mean it is not related to goods movement. In the first case, the credit memo is the basis for the goods dispatch message (selected using VI99). However, in the second case, it should be cleared with the existing invoice entries (selected using transaction MEIS).
You do not know which of the two is the case by using selection logic 'B' because the required information is not available. Bear this in mind when you use selection logic 'B'.
(When you use standard selection logic '_', the credit memos are assigned to the available return deliveries chronologically. Therefore, the problem described above does not occur in this case).

Solution

Implement the source code corrections as described in the correction instructions.

Explanation:
For the reasons mentioned above, there is no completely satisfactory solution to this problem.
When you use selection logic 'B', the Intrastat selection programs (that is, transaction MEIS and VI99) perform neither constantly nor consistently when you process credit memos.

    1. Before you implement Note 791895, the system considers that a return delivery exists for all credit memos. Consequence: The system ignores credit memos for the selection run of goods receipts (transaction MEIS). This means that they are not cleared with the existing incoming invoices.

    2. After you implement Note 791895, the system considers that no return delivery exists for credit memos. Consequence: Transaction VI99 does not deliver any result because the credit memos are cleared with the invoice receipts.

    3. After you implement Note 919328, the system considers that no return delivery exists for credit memos when you determine the entries from MM documents (transaction MEIS) and considers that a return delivery exists for credit memos when you determine the goods dispatch from MM documents (transaction VI99). Consequence: Credit memos are considered twice. Therefore, this could be regarded as the most inconsequent of the three solutions.

Conclusion:
None of the three system reactions described above satisfactorily covers all relevant Intrastat cases. However, the selection program must choose one of them. But which one? This is a real dilemma.

Solution:
Clearing credit memos with invoice receipts seems to be the best solution, and therefore, the default behavior is adjusted according to the logic of point 2).

Modification possibility:
If you require a different system response (according to point 1 or point 3 above), you must make a (simple) modification:
In module RMIMSELS, routine FORM PO_HISTORY_ANALYZE, change the value of field LV_CREDIT_HANDLING to 'X' (the same as the response from point 3) or 'Y' (the same as the response from point 1). The relevant code is predefined and you only need to activate it.

Outline: Field LV_CREDIT_HANDLING
Value:
           _= Credit memos are cleared with invoice receipts in MEIS and are not selected in VI99 (standard setting).

           X = Credit memos are cleared in MEIS and are also selected in VI99.

           Y = Credit memos are not cleared in MEIS, but they are selected in VI99.

Note:

Regardless of which system reaction you select, there is no guarantee that the selection result will be the same as the one you require, especially if a period contains credit memos with reference to a goods movement and credit memos without reference to a goods movement. If necessary, use transaction VEFU to manually process the selection result.

I am getting the below error - Balancing field "Profit Center" in line item 003 not filled Message no. GLT2201, while posting the invoice in F-02.

I have read the threads related to this issue discussed earlier in this forum. Still, My issue is not resolved.

While posting transactions in FB60,FB70,F-53, Its working fine.

I have kept Cost Center, Profit Center fields optional in FSGs assigned in the below 3 GL Accounts.

Still, Issue is not resolved. Pls help me out.

The following issues occur while using the ABAP editor:

    replace in selected text doesn't work if search up is selected,

    repeated paste into the editor from external programs inserts wrong data,

    the tool tip on Breakpoint and Bookmarks shows some technical number.

    while forward navigation the scrollbars aren't displayed correctly,

    displaying the text is sometimes corrupted if the window is opened such that a part of it is not visible on the screen,

    wrong block indicator for SELECT and ENDSELECT, if block contains a SLEECT SINGLE or SELECT # INTO TABLE statement (it is maybe necessary for this fix to manually delete the corrupt configuration file C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\SapWorkDir\ab4_data\abap_spec.xml).

When doing a drag-and-drop on the SAP Logon 7.20 window from an external window - for example a favorite from SAP Easy Access menu - SAP Logon crashes.

The issue described above will be fixed by a SAP GUI for Windows patch. In section "SP Patch Level" you can find information which patches contain the respective correction.
Please install this patch or a newer one (SAP GUI patches are always cumulative).

If the section "SP Patch Level" is not available or the information about which patch contains the correction is missing, this means that this has not been determined, yet. In this case please re-check this note at a later point of time.
