The DEMOCRATS refuse to agree to take away Obama Care (The Affordable care act – a law passed back in 2010 under Obama (OBAMA CARE) to make healthcare more affordable – and if you can’t afford buying private insurance you would be eligible for Medicaid) *THIS IS PUBLIC INFORMATION GO LOOK ACA UP OR AFFORDABLE CARE ACT – GO LOOK THAT UP PEOPLE* A lot of elderly people or the average person can’t afford private health insurance or pay high premiums, who are receiving these benefits -they would lose OBAMA CARE and the Republicans want to increase insurance / premiums.

So they (Democrats) closed down and didn’t give in to the Republicans demands (It’s unfortunate that we the people / The American citizens are caught in the middle of this fight) and the REPUBLICANS are now using snap (Food-stamps ) SMH as a pawn to try and get the DEMOCRATS to open and agree. Republicans are Starving the American people who are relying on these benefits to get their way I hope this helps!

-SO yes, republicans are telling half the story when they keep saying tell the Democrats the Democrats the Democrats to open up the government shutdown— it’s because the Democrats won’t give in, or back down and let the Republicans take Obama care away from the average American who can’t afford it. (A LAW THAT WAS PASSED ) —- The Republicans have control over the Senate, Congress, and the House! So if they wanted to they could.

I was a teenage mother with my Son growing up in Newark New Jersey / Brick city in high school 12 th grade my son was already 1 years old I was getting foodstamps and Medicaid and wic checks on and off  public assistance when I was eligible not making enough money — – while working my way up- in between jobs and still working hard wayyyy before I became an Author The benefits helped me! So I’m speaking for myself and from my own personal experience- and to keep it all the way real – I was getting foodstamps and unemployment in between every corporate Wall Street job a lot everytime I was NOT working, while on my way up everytime i wasn’t  working!

When you work, your job pay into unemployment, and depending on what state you live in your tax dollars out your paycheck also pay into unemployment (STATE TO STATE IS DIFFERENT ) – look on your paycheck and you will see the abbreviations where they take out for unemployment out your personal paycheck (CERTAIN STATES NEW JERSEY SUI, UI,or the other one SDI _ God forbid if you ever become DISABLE – that’s state disability insurance SDI ) —but for the MOST PART your Employer / your job pays into unemployment! So depending on what state I lived in at the time —anytime I was unemployed, or in between jobs I received unemployment and when you only have unemployment as a income that is considered your income- so you take that proof of your income (Unemployment) to Medicaid and the foodstamps office to apply for benefits they give you the amount of unemployment based on your work income per quarter how munch you made working per quarter off your income to determine how much unemployment you can receive and in New York here you are allowed to collect up to 26 weeks the maximum benefit rate (MBR) until you get back on your feet! Some people that didn’t work enough, won’t be able to collect because they didn’t make enough! < Unemployment, just like snap are programs put in place as a buffer to help you in between those moments when you are falling short and need assistance for a moment! >

So even though I work and always grind for what i want ——in between my hustle and grind over the years during those unemployed times snap benefits helped me and yes I will fight and  speak up for them to release those foodstamp benefit funds to those  people that need it for that moment because those snap benefits helped me in the past !

I told this story a few times, and I will tell it again, I asked DJ KAYSLAY to do a Special Edition of all of my columns, because the people were asking, mainly a lot of the dudes behind that wall asked, and he said you a Publisher you do it! LOL I been putting this off for years, and I AM happy to say, I finally did it ! ( I FINALLY DID IT SLAY!)

So this will be the first issue of some of my columns, I counted over two hundred UNRELEASED COLUMNS of mine I will put out from time to time, some you may have missed, and some you really enjoyed reading, and writing to me about certain columns with the letters! Just so we are clear, NO THIS IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH STRAIGHT STUNTIN MAGAZINE ! This is a collectors Edition of my work, a project I was supposed to have BEEN completed! IT’S 112 PAGES —-I was busy over the years, and things happen in your life that force you to step up and really lock-in and get certain things completed. I Sold this book part 1 out of my car trunk the lex coupe SC 400, and out my small kitchen when i was living in the second brownstone and selling my books off MySpace page lol— digital —word of mouth around the same time i created my first newsletter. I was selling my book hand to hand in the street before getting them in the first 2 book stores in my hometown downtown Newark New Jersey The source of Knowledge, with Owners Dexter & Patrece, also the other bookstore downtown Newark, Urban Knowledge corner of broad and market no longer there —— shout out to the girl Brooklyn in the QUEENS Bookstore section Hall of fame, shout out to my peoples in ATLANTA bookstore DBS sounds my family for life Tabago, also in PHILLY bookstore, ( Tone Trump plugged me in to the Philly bookstore with Tyson and Hakim ) And before getting my books in Harlem bookstore Dj KAYSLAY is the one that helped me get my first book in HARLEM bookstore with Pop & G! At that time i was signed from 1998- up until this moment, i just didn’t make the music side as a artist a priority at that time. I didn’t understand the business side of it then how i fully understand it now on this side, because i took time to learn ( AFTER THE FACT ) Once i understood this is the Business of Music.

This picture in my SMALL kitchen i was still signed but not doing nothing with my record deal still working at Morgan Stanley with my record deal and i moved back to New Jersey low key and Quietly living between both Queens and Jersey in this picture in 2004 Don’t tell me Nothing is impossible – as i said in one of my columns anything is possible, it says so in the word ( IM-POSSIBLE) i said this in one of my columns later as i wrote in the magazine! I didn’t know that at the time of this picture, but i knew what i was / am capable of! Having a record deal, still working at Morgan Stanley and independently self published my first book with my own money job/ corporate money!!

-The reason i kept that same picture in my monthly columns for the past 10 plus years over a decade, as a REMINDER of where it started regarding my books, writing as a Author, And the true start of my writing career. The picture represented TO ME of “where it started” 2004! let me REPEAT I was still working at Morgan Stanley saving my job corporate paycheck money so don’t ever say you can’t do anything ( that picture taken 2004 ) my columns started with BIG BROTHER DJ KAYSLAY fast forward 2010 6 years later after this picture was taken…

I wanted to remember this moment selling my books out of my small kitchen, reminding myself of my humble WRITING journey beginning. Because in my mind i always have a larger visions for what i’m about to do—– but ——-I never tell nobody what I’m about to Do, until it’s done! I keep my vision in my mind pray on it, and work towards whatever i want NO EXCUSES! Also, you can’t tell everybody your vision and dreams anyway!
