Sugar Creek is a church passionate about life change. It happens every day here – marriages healed, families revived, love restored, the hurting comforted. It happens not because of the programs we have or the events we put on, but because the spirit of God is at work here. He is the only one who can change a life and He wants to change yours for the better.

Daniel 12:1-3 All through the book of Daniel we have noticed that Daniel refers to the Jewish people as the elect, as the chosen. When prophecy is given in the Old Testament about God’s people or the elect, it is always talking about the Jews, not Christians. Join us as Pastor Hartman speaks about these finals days and what will happen to this group of people.

The Laws of Attraction: Forming Healthy Relationships: "Making the Most of Every Opportunity" The scripture from Ephesians 5:15 and 16 teaches us to be very careful in how we live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because we live in evil times. As Christians we are urged to live lives of purpose, fulfilling the commandment to love God with our whole heart and to love our neighbors as ourselves. As we do, we waste less time, and become effective in our worship, relationships and work. This is purposeful prioritizing… examining what the will of God is, setting our sights on the goal ahead, not giving into distraction. Another important issue is staying filled with the Holy Spirit. We can choose to fill our lives with almost anything or we can choose God’s presence. When we choose Him, we surrender in order to be empowered with the strength, peace and power of God. It is just what we need to conduct our lives in a way that satisfies our need to get things done and please God at the same time.

The Laws of Attraction: Forming Healthy Relationships: "Letting Go of My Selfishness" On a human level it is difficult for us to be selfless. Self-centered thinking is natural but it is not God’s design for us; and does not promote healthy relationships where His love can abound. Selfishness leads to all kinds of problems including: immorality, greed, obscenity, foolish talk and coarse joking. All of these things are hurtful to ourselves and to everyone around us. Adopting the practice of sincerely praying like this, from Psalm 139, “Search me and know my heart. Try me and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me,” is an act of humility and it makes our view God-centered. When we make God the center, He begins to work in our hearts, making a way for His love to flow through us onto others. This needs to be an ongoing process for each one of us, asking the Holy Spirit to work in us, daily. As we submit our will to God, face the truth, keep Eternity in view and choose to love others more than self, we adopt the attitude of Christ Jesus. This brings us into maturity in Christ, where we are most effective at captivating others with His love.

Jesus shows us His love by forgiving our sins, serving us and sacrificing His life so that we may live eternally. We are called to show love to others by extending forgiveness, releasing people and preferring someone else instead of ourselves.
