Sometime Top Menu is in trend and then Side Menu. However in some search engine attractive website you will watch Footer Menus, Side Menu, Left Bottom links, Inline links etc.

This Footer/ Segmented Portion Or Menu contains some categorical links of same website.

There are certain situations and objectives where you need insite linking.

1- Graphical/Flash website with less content

If you have less content in your website then, you can't adjust keywords in the content. Use some good keywords linked to your other website pages in Footer.

2- Keyword Adjustment

If your website has dynamic keywords that should be changed with season or events like florists or gifts are discounted on Xmas and Valentine Day. You don't not want to change the whole contents of website.

Take example of Shopping Cart where Post Cards of valentine day has a category. Use that Link in your website footer with attractive keywords.

3- Visitor/Bots Stay

If you know some catchy keywords that are not appearing in the content but have the visitor's demand. Use these keyword links in Footer, It will keep user on your website for more time.

Same thing happens with bots. Bots will stay more time on your website and will cache more keywords.

4- Keywords Density

Keywords density is very important feature for SEO and insite linking is one of best way to increase it.

For example I provide home windows replacement service in California, However I have some counties and areas that I cover in my services.

My website has the "California Windows Replacement" keyword.

What about Counties? What about Towns?

People may search like "Orange County Windows Replacement"

Here you can use your popular keywords for insite linking in Footer or any site menu.

5- Categories/ Segments

Most of the time there are some dynamic content that is not listed. Like sub-categories. For example, Men's Jewelry is Main Category and Watches is Sub-category. Mostly Sub-category will be listed after opening Main Category.

What if you like to place some Sub-Categories on front? You will need Footer, Left Bottom or any portion of your website to show this content.

Team Lead PHP Developer, Analyst and SEO Expert

http://www.vidionline.com

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Waheed_Akhtar

Waheed Akhtar - EzineArticles Expert Author

How to Learn Latest SEO Writing Techniques

The success of SEO depends on the correct and natural techniques of optimization. Every SEO practitioner has to keep in mind that there are two parts to the SEO viz. the ranking with search engines and the satisfaction of the readers which depends much on the natural flow of writing and word coordination. It must be thoroughly understood that while research into keyword usability can prove to be very essential, indiscriminate use of prospective keywords can damage the readability of SEO and cause much loath in the minds of the readers which is by no means expected.

There are some simple points to be followed to secure a high rank for an SEO article. One of these techniques is to put the keyword or phrase in the front portion of the title of an article. Most of the time this ensures high ranking for the article. Also, putting the title in an interrogative mode (eg. With 'How') can also help in the long run since a large number of people search for articles that explain the "how to" of something or the other? The keyword should also be part of the introductory paragraph and preferably the first sentence. The same tips should be followed while writing the concluding paragraph of the article. All over the body of the article the keyword should be spread discriminately with the preferred density of 3-7% of the word count.

There are some features in an SEO which may not be captured within one keyword. Therefore a need may arise to provide one or two secondary keyword(s).The framing of this keyword should be entirely purpose oriented and provide clear direction to the visitors regarding the product, service or concept discussed in the article. An opening sentence can be framed interestingly in a conversational mode to arouse interest in the reader. The time that a reader spends on a page during a visit has been calculated as very small by researchers. Therefore the attention of the readers should be captured with the very first sentence if possible.

Eye-catching resource boxes featuring the primary keyword can be very helpful. There is a need to help the readers identify the exact nature of the things discussed and boxed rather than paragraphs are particularly helpful in this regard. The boxes should be positioned near the primary phrases so as to automatically guide the readers to it whenever the repetition occurs. While writing an SEO article clarity and conciseness should be strictly followed. It is better to let the readers take decisions from the supplied information rather than focusing on a viewpoint with the aim of influencing their demands.

Article written by Mr. Neeraj Arora, Marketing Director of Himalayan IT Solutions a SEO Company Delhi also offers Web application Development in Delhi.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Neeraj_Arora

How to Make More Search Engine Visible Websites

One day I was desperately searching for one topic in Google. I was not not satisfied with the top page results as the content included in the top search result pages were not enough. So I decided to check the results in the less priority pages. I wondered that some web sites were content rich than I expect. So after that I was thinking why these pages came to low priority and the less relevant pages got high rankings. As a working SEO I decide to analyze each pages on the top ranking and the pages with low search ranking even though they are content full. I didn't care about the external factors which affecting the result ranks. I just analyzed the on-page factors which determines how much search engine friendly the web page is.

The analysis completed with following results.

1. The pages which optimized are enjoying the high search engine position.

2. The pages which are not optimized are in bottom pages.

What optimization the high rank pages did are not heavy works. They are some simple smart works to ensure that search engines would definitely notice the web page. I am going to tell you some simple steps which any web master can follow.

1. Don't avoid title tags

Title tags are very important as all search engines will crawl this area for getting an idea about the web page. If the title tag is not relevant to the content of the web page you will not get quality traffic. There is a chance of high bounce rate also present. If a web page has higher bounce rate that the normal rate major search engines will think like you are not providing quality content and that may lead to penalty. So always create relevant title tag with relevant keywords.

2. Don't waste your time for meta tags

Once upon a time meta tag was very important. All major search engines give attention to the meta tag contents provided in the header. But later many web masters misused the meta tag as they found it is the area they can stuff high traffic keywords to drive traffic. Later google decides to neglect meta tag as meta tag key words are not relevant to the actual page content. But my advice is not totally neglect meta tag as some search engines still using meta tag. So use a few key words in meta tag and avoid meta tag stuffing.

3. Alt text for images

If your web page is full of images we need to make sure that they have an alt text. In image rich web page search engine will find it difficult to determine what this site is going to tell. Because search engine spiders cannot read images. One more issue is some people still using text only browsers and they cannot see the images. To overcome this limitation we need to add some alt text for images. The alt text should be neat and keyword rich.

4. Ensure that the page contains enough keywords

I stress this part as an important way to get noticed by search engines. If you are creating a content full web page normally there should be enough keywords. But instead of keyword many authors are using short form of keywords to avoid the typing. For a user it is OK as he knows the short form means the keyword but search engine spiders cannot. So use some smart work along with your hard work.

There are many on-page factors which I don't cover but I ensure you that if you concentrate the points I listed above, that will boost your search engine ranking.

Siju George

SEO consultant

Official Site: http://www.noblewebsolutions.com

Blog: http://beanseo.blogspot.com

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Siju_George

Search Engine Optimization and Why You Need It

When having any sort of a website online it's always important to follow certain procedures to ensure that your website is seen. One of the main processes you should be following in order to GET people to your site is something called Search Engine Optimization or SEO for short. This process allows you to optimize your website for search engines to be able to find your website and in turn index it.

If your website is indexed on search engines like Google and Yahoo your pretty golden in terms of "being seen". See when you are indexed your site will show up on these engines when people search for certain phrases. So say your website is about Cars or more specifically Ferrari's, if your website is optimized correctly and you use word in your meta tags and site title like "Ferrari enzo", then when people search for Ferrari enzo's on the search engines, your site will show up. Obviously this is an important part of getting people to your website but it also boosts page rank as well. The higher the PR you have the closer your website will show up on Google within the pages of the results.

So if your PR is 9/10 then chances are your site will always show up on AT LEAST the first page of Google when people search for Ferrari enzo. Good deal. But how do you optimize your website? In particular, I have found the easiest way to complete this process is by hiring people to do it for you. As a novice you may not really understand things like page rank, optimization, meta tags, etc.

And really if you have no idea about any of these words let alone why you should have them or how they work; you need to hire someone in SEO. The people that do SEO are masters at what they do. In fact, a lot of sites will actually guarantee that you show up as #1 on Google and other search engines, whereas others will guarantee you show up on the first page. It really depends on whom you go with and what they promote their business as doing for you! When I first got into having my first site online, I obviously had no idea what I was doing.

I had no sales, hardly any visits, and my site barely ever showed up on Google and I could never figure out why. Then, within the last few years I have learned a lot about SEO and why its so important so I decided instead of making the same mistakes, I would hire someone on to do the work for me.

As aforementioned these guys are masters at what they do. In the same way that you know how to do your job, they know how to do theirs, and very well might I add. SEO isn't a daily type of procedure that you will be charged constantly for. Of course things need to be tweaked from time to time and this is another things these guys are good at doing! Really, if you have a website online, you absolutely need to be optimized, and these people are the best choice for your options! If you want sales, if you want promotion, and if you want to be seen, this is definitely the route you need to take!

This author is a HUGE fan of Tampa Search Engine Optimization

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Kristi_Ambrose

The Best SEO Strategy

A question often asked of SEO experts, is what is The Best SEO trick, or the best seo tactic, or the best seo tip - the fact is though there is no best trick or tactic, but there IS, I believe, a best SEO strategy.

The best SEO strategy in my opinion, and experience - is a holistic white hat SEO strategy.

The dictionary definition of holistic is:

"of, concerned with, or dealing with wholes or integrated systems rather than with their parts"

Holistic SEO simply means that you work on everything, the whole system - not just parts.

Many people involved in SEO, do not work in this manner - it's not uncommon at all to find a website that has had a lot of SEO work done in parts, but the website isn't doing nearly as well as it should be due to very important parts being completely missed out.

It's very common to find websites which suffer from one of the following :

* Great on page & off page SEO done - but keyword research not done, as a result the website is concentrating on completely the wrong keywords, and therefore ranking for keywords which do not bring targeted traffic.
* Great offpage SEO, plently of backlinks - but complete lack of relevant content
* Great keyword research done, good on page SEO - but no off page SEO, no backlinks, and therefore very little traffic apart from small amounts of traffic coming from keywords which have very little competition.

The best results come from SEO when done in a holistic way - paying plenty of attention to all area's, keyword research, on page, and off page. So to conclude, the best seo strategy is not a tactic or a trick, it is simply about paying attention to all of the important parts of SEO.

Kevin John Lewis is a professional search engine marketing / SEO Consultant

Based in Cheshire, UK (Close to Manchester) - Kevin delivers effective SEO services, and prides himself on the increases in the quantity & quality of search engine traffic that he achieves for his clients.

For more info on SEO consultant Kevin John Lewis & his SEO services, Visit http://www.searchengine-promotion.co.uk

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Kevin_John_Lewis

SEO Tools Are Real Time Savers

Search engine optimization requires many hours of research before the process actually begins. SEO tools are a great time saver, often offering information and data in seconds as opposed to hours of manually checking for specific SEO related information.

Though an SEO tool offers an opportunity to save time in gaining needed data quickly, tools do not replace the need to become familiar and experienced with SEO guidelines. Before an SEO tool can prove to be useful, one must first become accustomed to each of the major search engines and their algorithms to best understand and implement the data that you are researching into your own SEO project.

Example tools that help a webmaster safe time are the sandbox detection tool, ranking tool, back link tool, keyword popularity tool. Search engine seo tools are tools that can make a web master successful in achieving information in a short period of time.

There are many seo tools that can be found on the internet. I would suggest that you research each tool web site and make sure that there are no restrictions to that particular tool. Check for any copy rights before downloading a tool.

More SEO tools can be found by search on Google for SEO Tools.

The following article is copyrighted by SEO Company 2003-2005 and can be viewed at this SEO Tools Page.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Michael_Hargrove

Tips on Increasing Your Search Engine Ranking

The techniques used to increase your search engine rankings may appear like rocket science to you, but this is not an excuse for you to avoided dealing with this subject. A top 10 search engine ranking for your website is so vital that if you really want to do well in your business, you simply cannot avoid this issue.

More than 80% of people looking for goods and services online find websites through search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN. The reason why you need to optimize your pages for high search engine rankings is because you want to attract targeted customers to your website. These are people who are more likely to buy from you. The higher your page appear in search engine results, the more the traffic that is channeled to your website. That is the objective of search engine optimization.

The first thing you should look at is the title bar.

The title bar shows the information in your title meta tag. To increase your search engine rankings, the words on your title meta tag should include the most important keywords or phrases.

Here are some tips regarding the title meta tag:

- Avoid very long keywords. Try to keep them to five words or less.
- Avoid repeating keywords more than once in the title meta tag

The next thing you should look at is your website content.

The aim of any search engine is to list sites that contain quality content. The article on your site must contain the most important keywords. These are words that potential customers will be typing into search engines to find your site.

Here are some tips regarding your website content:

- Try to have at least 300 words on each page. This is the typical length for a decent page.
- The first sentence in your first paragraph should contain the keywords that you want to optimize for.
- The last paragraph should contain the keywords that you want to optimize for.
- The entire article should have a keyword density of about 1.5 to 3.

Want to see how I triple my traffic and increase my Adsense earning from $19 to $100 a month using only one link building strategy? Read the whole story at my Linkvana Bonus.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Cindy_Heller

Search Engine Optimization Tools Available

When you have a website online it is absolutely essential that you optimize the website. Without the optimization the website is simply a shell. Think of your website as a car, without an engine it can't run, right? Well that's the same way your website is. You can spend thousands of dollars getting it designed, making a personalized logo and you can sit there and wait for traffic as long as you want; but it might never come without the proper optimization.

Search engine optimization allows your website to show up on the search results of engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN. Without it you're just a sitting duck. With it, however, you will receive better PR (page rank), visitors, views, and potential sales depending on what your selling. By definition, Search Engine Optimization or SEO is the process of improving incoming traffic to a website from Search Engines. This can be done naturally or organically.

One of the most important things that involve SEO is content on your site. As the professionals say "Content Is King." You want your site to be content rich with many different keywords within the site and through the content on your site. For instance, if your website is about electronics, then you would want to include keywords about DVDs, MP3s, TVs, etc. Of course SEO goes a lot farther than just the actual content on your website, it also has to do with the tags, meta tags, titles, and coding on your website.

If you don't have the right keywords or tags on your site, you can never be found. Unfortunately a lot of people have no idea how to do these types of things so that they will show up on the results of the search engines and this is where the professionals come in! Last month I was looking around online for a few businesses that could actually do the SEO process for me on my website because I am absolutely clueless when it comes to that stuff and I found some really cool sites that can seriously help you out.

These optimizers won't only help you optimize your website so that you become indexed, show up on search engines, and get a better page rank but, they also introduce something called localized search engine optimization which allows you to place keywords and tags on your site that will bring localized users to your website.

This is terrific if you have a website that is localized and want to receive people that are specifically looking for you. So instead of having tags like "Electronics" on your website, you can do something like "Electronics In Vegas" or "Electronic Stores In Vegas". This will not only bring you visitors from around the world but it will also bring fellow Vegas people directly to your website. Plus you can better PR with something that has a localized tag rather than a broad tag like Electronics.

This will bring you a ton of business! If you have a website and you are not getting traffic, views, sales, etc; you might really want to consider hiring someone on. These optimizers are cost efficient, time efficient, and they could raise your profit margin within your business! This is something you really need in order to "make it" in whatever industry you might be in as of now. I know for me personally, it has helped me out tremendously.

First off I didn't have to do any hardcore reading or researching and I didn't have to go through the headache of trying to figure out SEO by myself which also saved me a lot of time. Secondly, I may have spent a few bucks to pay the master optimizer but in turn I ended up making threefold simply because my website shows up on Google a lot more now! And lastly, I finally have the comfort in knowing that I can count on someone to make my website "work" for me, instead of the other way around! In the end, this could really take a lot of stress out of your life so you can start focusing more on your business and less on your website!

This author is a HUGE fan of Search Engine Optimization

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Kristi_Ambrose

Essential Skills for the SEO Professional

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) has become a popular term and anyone who spends time online will come across the term. SEO is more like a mind set that every website owner who cares for his website and the incoming visitors must develop. SEO skills can be developed easily and a lot of information is available online or one could just go to one of the SEO conferences and get the hang of it all. Small websites can be optimized in-house itself if there is the time and resources, or by outsourcing the optimization work to SEO professionals.

Though the number of techniques and tools for SEO keeps increasing there are some major skills that must be developed by anyone interested seriously in SEO. Leading SEO gurus do realize the importance of the fact that an effective SEO professional must be a person who can always see the big picture and need not be a specialist at only one thing. Here is the list of essential ethical SEO skills that may be mastered by the SEO professional:

* Link building skill
* Keyword analysis
* Copywriting
* Account management
* HTML skills
* On page SEO tactics like tagging/titling etc
* Marketing/sales strategies planning / SMO
* Web analytics
* Server side management
* Online public relation skills
* Awareness of all SEO tools/techniques
* Blog marketing
* Ability to research/search online
* Social SEO media

For the SEO professional it is also important to at least get to know about the various black hat SEO techniques but it is more important to make a conscious decision not to develop those skills as it is unethical and not fair game.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Ricci_Mathew

How to Get Traffic to Your Website

So you have a website, but are you getting any traffic? If you think that just having a website published on the internet is enough for customers to find you, you may be in for a nasty shock! Unless you have an extremely niche product or service,you are competing against millions of websites offering the same thing. There are several ways to promote your website in order to get traffic and subsequently sell your products or services:

1. Optimise your website so that it gets found in the natural search engine results. Most potential customers don't get further than the first page of results, so that is what you are
aiming for.

2. Consider paying for adverts on Google and/or Yahoo. Do monitor your results to see if the adverts are cost effective. You don't want to be paying more for adverts than you receive in sales. You can add a tracking code to your advert to monitor traffic coming from different adverts.

3. Get listed on relevant directories. There are many shopping directories on the internet which offer free listings. Most of these require a reciprocal link from your website.

4. Contact websites offering similar products or services and exchange links. Many websites have a Links page, with a form to automatically submit your link. You will probably need to add their link to your website before they will approve your link. Some websites will only accept links with websites who have achieved a certain Google Page Rank. Read any terms and conditions before you waste time submitting a link request which may be rejected.

5. Write articles and submit them to websites which specialise in publishing articles, with a link to your website in the author bio. This will get you a one-way link back to your website, which is considered to be more beneficial than exchanging links. You may find that other websites copy your article with the author bio, so you can get several one-way links from one article, but this can be temporary as many websites change their pages regularly to show new articles.

6. If you have a profile on Yahoo or MSN for their email/messenger services, you can add a website link to that and create a back link that way.

7. Consider paying to advertise your products/services in newspapers and magazines, with a link to your website. If it is a new business or product, you may get some free editorial space
with a website link.

8. Create a blog and add to it regularly.

9. If you use a product or service on another website, and they publish customer reviews with website links, then go ahead and submit your own review.

10. Get business cards printed with your website address on, and hand them out whenever you get the chance!

If you have a new website, it will take time to build links and get listed on the various search engines. Optimising your website can be a slow process, but it is rewarding to see a steady increase in visitors, and watching your keyword search results getting higher up in the natural results on the major search engines. It won't happen overnight, but there is no reason why you can't achieve first page results.

Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Genie has proven results in the Search engine Optimization field. That means visitors that are looking specifically to buy what you are selling.

Common traffic methods like traffic exchanges, safelists, popup or popunder traffic, buying traffic and other methods provide visitors, however these visitors are not always looking for what you sell. In other words most of the time they are looking for something else. It means they will not buy from you.

There are many other reliable traffic generation methods, it is not just SEO. However SEO is one of the best methods and here are some reasons.

First of all you can get a ton of traffic, not little but a lot. You may require some time if your website is brand new to get rankings and start getting traffic. But once you get that first
keyword ranked on top, you start getting rankings much faster and much easier.

It is because you get more link exchange requests. Search engines prefer old sites, instead of those brand new. Once you start making money you can invest to automate SEO completely.

So if it takes you two months to get that first keyword ranked on top, it will then take you a month to get three or four more at once. The experience alone and results motivate you to do more. There is another advantage.

If you just got the top position for a keyword such as free mouse traps it will be easier to get on top position the keyword mouse traps or cheap mouse traps. It is because you already have several backlinks with the anchor text mouse traps. If you have the top position for free mouse traps, you should have backlinks with that anchor text.

That is another benefit of choosing long tail keywords, which means keywords with multiple words.

The more backlinks you have the better. So after you get that first keyword ranked on top, while optimizing your site for the new keywords you already have a ton of backlinks. Your site is already established, not brand new. This all makes it easier to get high rankings again and again for new keywords.

So do not believe into what you hear that SEO takes long time, like six months or a year to get results. It all depends on how well you know SEO and how properly you follow SEO strategies. You need to learn SEO from a proven source, someone who can show you results. On the Internet there are many so called SEO experts and firms, who guarantee too good to be true results.

You should get on page one within two months, not a single day more. If it takes you three months you are doing something wrong or you can do something much better, or you are not applying some method correctly enough.. SEO can be fully automated and it can be your traffic generation machine day in day out. SEO alone is enough to give you enough traffic to make four, five or six figures income assuming your website copy and other elements are properly set as well.

There are keywords you can target once you get that experience and you have that extra more investment which can give you fifteen thousand visitors or more a day. Just from one keyword.

That alone should be a good reason to think about implementing SEO in your business as one of the main methods to get targeted traffic.

How To Plan A Proper And Successful SEO Strategy

There is a question that many webmasters ask themselves when they are doing or going to start SEO. What keywords shall I target?

You have two common options which are, either optimize your website for one keyword which gets lots of traffic. These usually have lots of competition. You can also optimize your website for several keywords that each get few traffic but they have little competition. The amount of time to get results for each method is more or less the same.

Long tail keywords, refer to keywords that consists of multiple words. Usually these have little competition but receive little traffic.

Now understand that you are not optimizing your website but just your homepage. When you are getting links to your homepage you are not optimizing the whole website for that keyword but only your homepage. In fact your other pages will not rank anywhere, just your homepage will get ranked.

What that means to you?

Obviously it is better to get your homepage ranked since probably it is the most important page of your website, if it is a salespage or an optin page and so on. However if you have an ecommerce website, you can optimize each of your website pages for a different keyword.

Now all the search engine optimization rules still play a role when optimizing each of your site pages or most of them for a unique keyword. In brief you put that keyword in meta tags, get backlinks using the keyword in anchor text, do internal linking using that keyword and so on.

But there are other options which all depends on the type of website you have, how much money you set aside to invest in your business and other things. These also make it faster and easier to improve search engine rankings.

Here are some successful campaigns you can adopt for your website.

If you have a salespage type of website and you have no money to invest it is good idea to pick just one keyword only, that gets a fair amount of traffic. So you get it ranked fast and you start making at least some money fast. You can then invest the money in seo again, but this time you can seo your website for either several keywords at once or one keyword which has lots of competition.

That means if you have no money, you cannot compete or it is very difficult to compete with lots of competition. When you start making money you can invest in lots of different software and so on.

If you have an ecommerce website and no money to invest you need to know which of your products is likely to sell well. Then optimize that page only for one keyword that has a fair amount of traffic and little competition. So you start making money instantly and invest it again in SEO. So it is important to optimize that page where you sell something people are going to buy for sure, or the highest priced item if you really do not know what people are going to buy most.

Thinking this way helps you make the most money possible in the shortest time possible. If you do not think a bit long term or if you do not create a detailed plan it is likely you waste time.

So plan things like how much time will it take you to see results and how much money you can invest. What are your best options with the amount of time available you have and the amount you can invest. Plan also what you will do once your first goal is reached. In other words plan also long term.
