7pm is the time where people gather around the dining table and eat their dinner with their family, everyone feeling so cosy and laughter filling the air. But in one part of Singapore, specifically Changi Point, a group of energetic athletes with the heart as large as Singapore were busy preparing for their races! The first wave was for the Ultra-Marathoners- 84.39km, followed by the Marathoners- 42.195km. I was in the Ultra-Marathon event so I reached there at 6pm to warm up. The Special Needs tent was for the Ultra-Marathoners as their transition areas. I will be elaborating more on my race because I don’t quite know how it is for the other runners. But everyone did a great job!

With manufacturers making so many different specialist shoes such as Stability Shoes, Motion Control Shoes, Cushioned Shoes, Lightweight Shoes and Trail Shoes, not to mention shoes especially for walking, etc. it is good to finally have a shoe that is lightweight, simple and can potentially be used as a multi-purpose shoe.

There were several categories of runs. They were the 15km, 10km and 5km running category. Like the previous 2 years I took part in the 15km running category. This is one event that I would never miss as it is sort of an anniversary run for me. I first started getting hooked into running after completing the Saucony 100plus Passion Run 2007.
