Our applogies for the recent outage on the CareFree Message Server. This was caused by a firmware issue on the edge routers.

Managed Client Server DNS Fixes

Main Web Site Issues

Inbound and Outbound Call Failures - 5th Jan 2011

Brief:

Two of our VoIP servers have fallen over and monitoring on the third indicates that is also due to fail shortly.

Impact:

Customers on SIP calls are likely to suffer call drops and audio loss, and will be unable to make calls.

Action:

Our engineers are currently working on resolving the problem at present and we will provide an update within the next 15 minutes.

In House Phone Systems

Our apologies goes to anyone who tried to reach us on the telephone on Friday. We were hoping for ZDT (Zero Down Time) switch to our new telephone server. We experienced issues with the new server throughout the day leading to miss routing of calls.

BT Outage

This is an update to yesterday's post about a major BT Wholesale outage that is causing connectivity problems for some of our broadband customers.

The latest update we have received from our suppliers gives a provisional clear time of 10.00pm this evening. The area codes the problem is believed to affect are as follows:

Backup Storage Systems Offline

VoIP: Outbound Calls Failing

We are seeing outbound calls intermittently failing. Our engineers have identified the problem and are working to resolve this. We will post further information at 9:30. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Customers may be unable to make outbound calls on our VoIP platform.

Outbound Calls Failing

We are seeing an issue with one of our servers that is causing outbound calls to fail. We are investigating this and apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Impact:
Customers will be unable to make outbound calls on their VoIP service.

Affecting VoIP

Overview

We plan to update sip routers traffic handling for internal purposes.

Customer Impact

No calls will be affected, since the maintenance will be done on a single redundant host at a time.

Planned activity

We will enable new routes, which will be useful for us to automate some of the testing procedures. Eventually, this will allow us to react faster to some of the emergency situations if they happen.

Planned 21CN Broadband Network Maintenance - Thursday 19th August 2.00am-6.00am

When's this work happening?

Early tomorrow morning, 19th August.

What does it affect?

The routing of broadband traffic across BT Wholesale's network.

How long will it take?

Up to four hours.

What does the work involve?

We have received notice from our suppliers about a period of planned engineering works that is scheduled to be carried out early tomorrow morning.

Am I likely to notice the work?

Our suppliers have advised that some broadband customers may experience a five minute outage at some point during the maintenance window.

Is there anything else I need to know?

Any customers having problems connecting once the maintenance is complete are advised to switch off their equipment for 30 minutes before powering it back up and attempting to reconnect.
