One trick of the enemy is to get you to waver in your faith. If Satan can get you to change your focus from what you're believing God to do to "I don't deserve what God can do", then he has you. The Bible teaches us to stand firm in our faith and not to waver. When Satan tried to trick Jesus into worshiping him, Jesus stood strong on the Word and commanded Satan to leave. Jesus didn't take offence in what was told to him at anytime in the Bible but instead he continued keeping his focus on the cross.
