If you have a 3-5 year old interested in learning Taekwon-Do , this is the program for you! This program is an introduction to Taekwon-Do learning the basic punches, blocks and kicks. It also enforces good listening skills, respect, and of course fun! Contact the STFI office for information on our new session beginning January 14th,2012 in Regina, Ms. Kimpton for information in the Saskatoon area, Mr. Phillips in Prince Albert and Mr.Neiman in Humboldt.

Get Ready To Compete!

Fall 2011 is a busy one for STFI ! Clubs are back in full order and training hard, getting ready for two competitions. First up will be Saskcup on the weekend of October 29th, in Humboldt. Next, is the CANADIAN NATIONALS in Calgary, Alberta on November 12th. All members are strongly encouraged to participate in both events. Click here for more information on both events.

Taekwon-Do Summer Camp!

There are still spots available for those interested in the Summer Camp being offered at St.Anne’s this summer!
Dates for the camp are as follows: July 11th-15th & 18th-22nd , August 8th-12th, & 15th-19th. The camps will run from 9-10 in the morning, Monday-Friday. Register by calling the STFI office at 525-0005 or email at chelsea.stone@sasktel.net .

Canada Day Demo

STFI is once again participating in the Canada Day celebrations at Wascana Park in Regina. All members are welcome to come out and support this demo if you are available that day. Please contact the office or chelsea.stone@sasktel.net if you have not already signed up and wish to help!

We will be showcasing the many aspects of ITF Taekwon-Do, including patterns, sparring, self-defense, kicking techniques and board breaking!

TKD Summer Camp in Regina!

STFI is offering a summer camp for anyone interested in learning the basic fundamentals to ITF Taekwon-Do. The camp will be offered for the following weeks at St.Anne’s Parish Hall from 9 am – 10 am. This camp is welcomes to kids of all ages as young as 3!
July 11th-15th, 18th-22nd
August 8th-12th, 15-th-19th

Registration dates for the Spring Session are now posted under the registration section. Please check your club and sign up on time on registration night! Women’s self defence and Taekwon-Do tigers will be starting new sessions as well. Both are 8 week courses, once a week. The Tigers program will be commence on April 2nd and will be held every Saturday morning from 9-945 am at St.Anne’s Church hall. The women’s self defence courses will take place Monday evening from 8-9 pm at the SLC and will commence on May 2nd. The World Championships in New Zealand are approaching very quickly! Our athletes are training hard, and gearing up for the opportunity of a lifetime! We are very fortunate that we have nearly 50 supporters accompanying our athletes to help cheer them on and witness the competition first hand. For all of those who are unable to attend, you are in luck! I have started a facebook fanpage for our team, “2011 ITF Team Canada”. Simply follow this link , and “like” the page. We will do our best to update the page regularly with results, photos, and videos so that all our friends and family back home stay informed!
