Def Sound was first introduced to me through MERC80 in a two part YouTube interview last July. Now here he is again with a new track that instantly became a favorite in my household upon the first listen. Def Sound has just dropped a new video that was directed by Adam Tillman-Young. April 15th marks the 10 year anniversary of Joey Ramone's death, frontman of one of the most influential Punk Rock bands. Whlle being extremely popular in the world of American Punk Rock, The Ramones achieved only minor commercial success.

As The Ramones began to grow more popular, they made their movie debut in Rock 'N' Roll High School, a Roger Corman film about a high school student hoping to meet Joey to show him the song she wrote which had the title as the movie.

Although The Ramones performed at the sixth Lollapalooza Festival in 1996, their last studio album was ¡Adios Amigos! which was released in 1995; the same year Joey was diagnosed with his illness. After announcing that they planned to disband if the album was not successful, the album sales were unremarkable. It spent just two weeks on the lower end of the Billboard chart. Joey Ramone later died of Lymphoma in a New York Hospital after his seven year battle.

The Ramones Raw, Loud and Intense feeling can still be felt.

Made recently hosted a performance consisting of the finished works from a 3 way collaboration with "Miki"(composer/musician), Aloe Blacc (singer/songwriter/musician), and Jaybo (artist). The result was a performance that will be unforgettable evening for those in attendance in Berlin. The film is essentially a chronological montage of how this entire project came together. Check it.

News | Sacha Baron Cohen as Freddie Mercury of Queen

Few people know the names Brian May, Roger Taylor, John Deacon and surprisingly Freddie Mercury, but so many people know the music of Queen. Songs like "We Are The Champions","Another One Bites The Dust", "We Will Rock You" and thanks to Wayne's World, "Bohemian Rhapsody" made Queen one of the best-selling groups of all time.

So the fact there is a movie in the works about the late, great Freddie Mercury is not shocking, but the actor tackling the role of Mercury is shocking. Brian May (Guitarist of Queen) announced last year in a BBC interview that Sacha Baron Cohen (better known for his roles as Ali G, Borat and Bruno) was chosen to play Mercury in the upcoming film.

The film is set to covering everything from the early years and concluding with the performance at 1985 Live Aid. Peter Morgan, who was nominated for an Oscar for his screenplays Frost/Nixon and The Queen, will be co-produced by Robert DeNiro's TriBeCa Productions. Filming is set for sometime this year, and released in Fall 2012.

Introducing "The Musician"

We do a lot of digging in the crates. We look far and wide. We talk to a wide range of characters about music we love and dislike with a passion whether it be overrated or plain irresistible. We all have our own tastes and that is what we love about our crew. We always have something new to share or discuss.

As an extension of that, we have added a musical genius to the mix (and that is not an exaggeration). We have added someone who not only knows his music, learns about the music and the musicians, but can also play the music. Personally, I have watched this guy master two instruments with no formal training or help. So make no mistake, this man is the real deal!

We are proud to present our newest member to the SUPER regular team, Anthony (the musician)!

Undftd made reference to the new "Clyde" with Puma dropping soon during a free show featuring N.E.R.D. in Las Vegas a few months ago. Now, the official announcement has been made and the wait will be over on April 10th. The kicks feature accents on the heel and the classic "5 strikes" on tongue with some clean leathers colors in black, white, light gray and green. Check it.

Jay-Z has launched his iPhone/iPad application and recently posted a video to his YouTube page about his rap style evolution. Some may know that Jay was accused from the time he cut his first album and even before he was in the spotlight of changing his style to be slower like that of Jazz O (who was supposedly a friend of Jay back in the day) because Jay's flow style was fast like on "Jigga What, Jigga Who?". I remember having conversations back in 2002 with some friends/clients of Jazz O about how much Jazz O hated Jay-Z for stealing his style. I am glad that Jay-Z finally commented on this subject because it has been a topic over the years that was never addressed from his side. Check it.
