Sable's Drawings

Eye

2012-04-14T19:29:00.001-07:00

I guess I just really like to draw eyes. Was screwing around a little on GIMP. Yeah, it doesn't look that good, but it was a lot of fun and I like the way that it turned out. I love unnatural eye colors. They're just sort of mystical and other-worldly. The demons in my novel all have unnatural eye colors. It sort of adds to the mystery.

Witch

2012-04-12T19:17:00.001-07:00

As you may have noticed, I have sort of resolved to do really quick little designs. I've been trying to make the best of my spare time when I'm not at work. I apologize. This one looks sort of witchy, so I named it as such.

Running Horse

2012-04-11T19:26:00.001-07:00

This is a quick little design that I sketched on GIMP. I've been working on trying to get my homework done, so I figured that I would try to get this out of the way so that I won't have to worry about it. I haven't been feeling well today, and for some reason I am feeling really anxious right now. Anyway, this is a quick and sloppy sketch, but it holds the concept.

Meow

2012-04-10T12:12:00.001-07:00

This one is simply titled "Meow." I was just sort of fooling around with Paint because I was bored and my internet has been cutting in and out for the past couple of days. I need to finish updating this laptop and installing all of the programs that I want to, but it's hard.

Painting WIP 2

2012-04-09T12:26:00.003-07:00

I'm starting out with just doing flat colors with the painting so you can get an idea of what's happening in the picture. Internet is intermittent right now :( Oh, it's acrylics on a canvas. Also, I'll be going to Best Buy to shop for a new laptop today!

Painting WIP 3

2012-04-09T12:26:00.002-07:00

It's starting to come together now. I painted over the mouth because I didn't like what I was doing to it. I will fix it on my next attempt. I'll probably thin the lines out a little more, possibly get rid of some of them altogether. I want it to have sort of a manga-style, so I may keep them. I'm not too good at realistic things.

Work Worries

2012-04-07T19:43:00.003-07:00

I thought I would do a little sketch of a something that I've noticed I do a lot at work. I worry. I worry constantly. I worry about everything. I have even been told that I worry too much. It's true, and I will admit to it. But at least I know I have all of my bases covered. This is me, cashiering, and worrying about various things in my day.

Foxy?

2012-04-07T19:43:00.002-07:00

I think this looks more like a fox than anything else. It is definitely canine, in any case. I wanted to do a leisurely, somewhat sexy position for this figure. I think it went over pretty well.

Abstract Queen

2012-04-06T06:48:00.001-07:00

This was a fun and really quick drawing. It only took me a couple of minutes. I like to use various shapes and things to make up a scene. I believe she's some sort of really vain queen that just likes to look over the top and surround herself with stuff.

Day 73 - Painting WIP

2012-04-05T06:27:00.001-07:00

This is the foundation for a painting that I am going to work on. I loved that I got new brushes and tubes of acrylic paints. I need to get more canvases. I only have one left after this one. Well, this picture is basically another scene from my novel. It's from when Claireice was just a little girl. Her parents were slaughtered right before her eyes. She buried them in a meadow that they had been picnicking in.

Feral Wolf

2012-04-03T21:01:00.003-07:00

Last night I had a dream about a handsome feral wolf. I yelled to him, because he was barking loudly at something. The beast padded over to me happily and began to voraciously lick my face. It was somewhat hear-warming. This isn't exactly the same, but he was black and white.

Anthro Wolf

2012-04-03T21:01:00.002-07:00

This is an anthro version of the feral wolf that I did for the previous post. His head is a little large on his body. I don't have a lot of experience drawing wolves. On another note, I went to a craft store today, bought a new sketch book, and acrylic paints and brushes. I'll have to get some canvases. I haven't painted in a long time.

Artists

2012-04-01T20:29:00.002-07:00

My notorious furred friend suggested I draw the two of us as artists in our own way. Here it is. He's content to nibble on a delicious haunch while I doodle away in my sketchbook.

Practicing

2012-04-01T20:27:00.002-07:00

This picture probably wouldn't make sense to the average viewer. It's a very specific scene from my novel in which Claire catches Lance pretending to dance with her. The pose is really awkward. I've been really busy working lately. I don't know who put the schedule together, but it's rough.

Refined Book Cover

2012-03-30T21:49:00.001-07:00

I had actually done a different sketch for the day, but I realized that I should edit my book cover a little. The colors that I was using before made is so that her skin looked really green and sickly. I'm hoping it will look more natural when it prints now. It's sort of a teaser, I guess. The book is still undergoing rigorous edits until it is completed.

Sexy Sasha

2012-03-29T21:04:00.001-07:00

This is a picture of Sasha that I made. She is a sexy little piece of tail. This version is actually censored. I want to keep the things on this blog clean and proper. Here, you can clearly see how bright and icy her blue eyes are. I love the contrast of those, and the red against all of the black.

Sasha the Weasel

2012-03-28T14:25:00.001-07:00

This is an OC that I came up with while RPing with a friend of mine. Her name is Sasha, and she comes from a family of weasel halflings. Her fur is black, and she has icy-blue eyes that stand out of her face like diamonds. She wears her hair long, with bangs. She's young, not old enough to have quite reached her heat yet. She prefers to slink around on all fours, more like a feral than an anthro. Her best friend is a young panther anthro girl named Emerald. To her, humans are much too strict in their ideals. Things like sensuality and sex aren't taboo to her.

Forest Nymph Final

2012-03-27T21:42:00.001-07:00

Here is the finished picture! I wanted to do something more with the background, but I couldn't think of anything at the time, and I need to work on my homework. I think she's absolutely stunning. She has a sort of forlorn air about her.

Forest Nymph WIP 2

2012-03-26T21:44:00.001-07:00

Well, I did put in a bit more work on this picture. I am extremely happy with how it is turning out. Today was a hard day for me at work. It was ridiculously slow and I felt sick to my stomach the whole time. I am really glad to be able to have a day off tomorrow. On another note, I have begun banking with Citadel. There's one right inside of the center where Lowe's is. It's so convenient.

Forest Nymph WIP

2012-03-25T21:48:00.001-07:00

I started work on digitalizing my nymph, and this is the first step. I'm coloring and adding highlights to it. I have one more work day before a day off. I'll have time tomorrow to be able to get an original sketch :)

Bathing Forest Nymph

2012-03-24T20:37:00.002-07:00

I would have to say that this is technically a work in progress. I mean, it works well as a stand alone sketch, but I plan to do a lot more with it. I got the idea from a friend a few days ago. I am going to open the sketch on Photoshop and go over it, color it, and add some more scenery. It will be amazing when I'm done.

A Random Dinosaur

2012-03-23T20:52:00.001-07:00

This morning before work, I was sitting on my bedroom floor, eating cocoa puffs, drinking coffee, and watching Dinosaur Train. It is a children's educational program that is animated, with 3-D dinosaurs that are absolutely adorable. I love to watch it. It's one of my guilty pleasures. While watching this, I decided that I should do my drawing for the day, to try to get it out of the way. What else would I draw? Dinosaurs are awesome. They could eat you and you wouldn't even know what was up.

Lauri

2012-03-22T22:06:00.001-07:00

This was a sort of quick design of Lauri, Claire's adopted son. He was discovered to be living alone in a decrepit old house in the least desirable section of town. He stopped aging at the young age of twelve years old, leaving him a man trapped in a child's body. Because of this, he often has feelings of regret and self-loathing, knowing that he can truly never love a woman. He is in love with his adoptive mother, but can never be with her. He sports large, sorrowful violet eyes and jet-black hair. He often self-mutilates and basically hates himself overall. However, he is quick to perk up, changing from sulky to chipper in a few seconds.

Fairy Girl

2012-03-22T20:53:00.001-07:00

I should be getting a laptop in a little over two weeks, and that will aid me SIGNIFICANTLY. I am sharing a desktop with other people right now, so I can't spend all the time on it that I want to.
This image was just something really quick and simple. All that I had on hand were a red and a blue pen. I decided to lay out the basic structure of the figure in red pen, then refine and add details in blue.

Konata Izumi Panda Girl

2012-03-20T22:39:00.001-07:00

This was actually a request that was put in from a friend on deviantART. He wanted me to do a drawing of Konata Izumi from Lucky Star as a panda girl. Overall, he was really happy with how it turned out. I think it's a little sloppy. I used my PenPad on GIMP. I used a picture of her as reference for the hair, eyes, and clothes. I think it's adorable, in any case. Tomorrow I have a day off from work, so hopefully I won't be so scatter-brained.
