As Beck informed, the left wing groups that helped Barack Obama get elected are beginning the push to keep him to the far left even if after the mid-terms he would like to move to the center.

George Soros has done an exemplary job of getting the McCain Feingold Act passed so that the creation of the 501c3 organizations like Moveon could flourish.  The Supreme Court threw them a loop earlier this year by stating the act unconstitutional toward corporations.  The Disclose Act that would stop the Supreme Court ruling passed the House on 6/24/10.  The Democratic Socialist Party in the Senate tried to get it out of cloture in July and again in September.  The 501c3’s refuse to give up the supremacy they have gained during the McCain Feingold debacle.  They (Soros) are pressing for the Senate to, once again, push for passage.  Stand up America, call your Senators.  Tell them to vote “NO” on the Disclose Act.

Spending on this year’s election didn’t just break records,

 it obliterated them. $4 billion in total.

In the wake of Citizens United, corporations like ExxonMobil and AIG can give hundreds of millions of dollars to a shadowy front group to swing an election. And they can do so in 100% secrecy.

Imagine how this election could have changed if voters knew which corporations were supporting Republican candidates with anonymous attack ads against Democrats. 

Earlier this year Congress nearly passed a bill—the DISCLOSE Act—that would force front groups to let voters know which corporations and CEOs are funding their political attacks.

The bill came up short because some Republican senators said they didn’t want to pass the common sense measure until after the election.  Now that the election is over we have an opportunity to pass this bill, but it won’t happen unless we push hard on Congress to act before the end of the year.

This bill won’t get corporate money out of politics, but if we know that a company is trying to buy an election, we can shame them and we can hold them accountable. We did it successfully with Target earlier this year when state laws forced the retailer to disclose that it had made a large donation to a far-right candidate for governor in Minnesota. MoveOn members and others launched a nationwide boycott that brand analysts said reduced Target’s favorable reputation by a third among customers in just ten days.

We also know that disclosure can have a major effect in elections. In California this year, giant oil companies backed a ballot measure to repeal the state’s groundbreaking climate change law. But they couldn’t secretly funnel their money through front groups and voters overwhelmingly rejected the initiative in part because every ad has to mention the oil companies funding it by name.

The DISCLOSE Act isn’t perfect but it will at least let us follow the money. We still need to keep working to pass stronger legislation and overturn Citizens United, but ending the ability of corporations to buy elections in secret is an important and fundamental step for our democracy.

THE BEST MAN FOR THE JOB IN CA-SD01, IS THE ONLY WOMAN RUNNING

The race for CA-SD01 up here in Northern California has unfolded over the last month in a way I never could have imagined, Barbara Alby is coming up quick in the polls and now has the momentum to pull this off, with our help. I’ve had many of my contacts ask me about this race as well, so after watching the San Francisco Giants win the world series, I felt obligated to offer my perspective on it considering we are sitting on the eve of the most important elections in my lifetime. It basically comes down to this, will you vote for, or against, the “status quo” in politics this election. Ted Gaines being the “status quo”.

Over the last year I have spent my time and efforts exposing and attempting to put an end to the corruption within the Placer County GOP. Ted Gaines has been neck deep in support of, and part of that corruption/good ol’ boy network. After pulling a freedom of information act on his record of spending while on the Placer Board of Supervisors, I’ve found hundreds of thousands of dollars in corrupt spending, political kickbacks, etc. etc. (see here here and here), not to mention he violated his pledge to the taxpayers of AD-4 (see here).

From there, Mr. Gaines Showed his elitism, by implying that the voters of Placer County were too stupid to understand the ballot for his special election (see here), when in reality, he wanted to waste another 150K of the taxpayers money, with only himself, and his political career in mind.

Now we find ourselves in a situation where Mr. Gaines wants to cost the taxpayers millions more in a special election if he wins the race for Senate District 01, AND Assembly District 4. Why would we do that to ourselves when there is already a true conservative in the race in Barbara Alby? As a Tea Party organizer, isn’t the number one item of importance “Fiscal Responsibility”? I could go on and on regarding the behavior of Mr. Gaines and his apparent role and support of the corruption within the Placer GOP, but I’d be here for a week, and the election is tomorrow, so I’ll get back on point. Let’s be real here though, the only thing Mr. Gaines has in mind right now is his own political career, not the people of Placer County, and not the country. You see he knows his assembly seat terms out in 2012, and he figures he better jump on the bandwagon quick or else a true conservative doing a good job will take his “golden opportunity”.

Barbara Alby has demolished Mr. Gaines in every debate they’ve had in the last month (see here, here, and here). Because of that, he chose to tuck tail and hide when it came time for the debate at the Mother Lode Tea Party and not even have the decency to have a staffer call to say we wasn’t going to be there for their debate. Finally at the end of the debate (8:00PM, the debate started at 6:00PM), when Barbara Alby was in the middle of her closing statement…he has his wife and daughter come in and blatantly lied about Mr. Gaines whereabouts, while rudely making a scene and interrupting Barbara’s closing statement (see here).

What also stands out to me is the “favoritism” Mr. Gaines has received from the Nor Cal Tea Party Patriots and other Tea Party Patriot groups in the Northern California area, it seemed odd to me because I understood TPP to be about standing up “against” the status quo in “both” parties. Wondering whether maybe they were just oblivious to who the real Mr. Gaines was, I began investigating why there would be favoritism to this corruption. Within my investigation I learned that apparently Mark Meckler and Ginny Rapini had been the recipients of “political favors” from Mr. Gaines with regards to permitting for their SAC912 event, ah, now I understand….sounds like “status quo” politics to me.

Not only has this caused some stir and turmoil between a couple of the other Tea Party groups in the Northern California area that endorsed Barbara Alby, and are actively campaigning for her (see here and here). One activist was quoted as saying “it saddens me to see an organization I was part (TPP) of and helped grow since April 2009, choose the path of status quo corrupt politics, a lot has changed since April of last year”, adding, “this Tea Party group won’t sell out to the corrupt GOP establishment, just because TPP leadership and organizers within other groups want to act in an unprincipled manner and embrace this corruption doesn’t mean we’ll do the same”.

This has turned the race into quite the slugfest, here’s what the Sacramento Bee had to say about it:

“Gaines has looked for votes among tea party activists. He spoke at a September event held by the Nor Cal Tea Party Patriots, which can’t endorse candidates because of its non-profit status.

But Gaines has competition in that arena.

Alby entered the race late, has little money but counts on loyalists who admire her personal history and style.”

AND

“Alby, who calls herself a “constitutional conservative,” is touting endorsements by the Citrus Heights-Roseville Tea Party Activists group and a sister group in the Foothills Farm area, both of which can legally endorse candidates.

Quinn thinks the tea party movement has much less impact in California compared to small states, such as Delaware. (SIDE NOTE: THERE’S ACTUALLY ANOTHER REASON THE TEAPARTY HASN’T BEEN SUCCESSFUL ON THE STATEWIDE LEVEL IN CALIFORNIA, BUT THAT’S FOR ANOTHER BLOG)

Activists in the groups backing Alby concede they have only a few hundred members between them, but they hope to turn out far more votes for Alby.”

The fact remains that we’re “stuck” with Mr. Gaines for the AD-4 seat, nothing we can do about that now, however we CAN do something about CA-SD-1 and we CAN save Placer County millions by voting for Barbara Alby.

It looks like the Northern California TPP groups have a real “gut check” in front of them, and the question has to be asked, will they support the Sacramento/Washington “status quo” and allow themselves to be bought off with cheap political favors by the establishment GOP, or will they honor their declared commitment to “fiscal responsibility” and vote for Barbara Alby?

When one activist from the CH/Roseville Tea Party Activists was asked how he felt about the apparent favoritism towards Gaines due to a political favor, he replied tersely, “et tu brute”.

Vote for the only candidate in this race who is uncorrupted and will fight for “We the People”. Vote for Barbara Alby for SD-01 on November 2nd!

Today at the El Dorado County Republican Women Federated luncheon,  Tom McClintock spoke to a full house. 

He praised the positive polls for the Republicans and warned we needed to stick to our Republican principles if we wanted to keep our majority.

Tonight in Sutter Creek the Motherlode Tea Party Patriots held what  was probably the last debate between the three candidates running for California State Senate District 1.  Barbara Alby, Roger Niello and Ted Gaines. I also want to add that Karen England who is running as a write in candidate for California Lt. Governor and Jack Sieglock running for AD 10 were also on the dais. Upon arriving we were informed that Mr Niello had declined. 

At 6:00 when Ted Gaines had not arrived, and no contact had been made by a staffer, the debate began.

This was my fourth debate.  Each one has a little different rules.  This one consisted of the concerns the Tea Party had and then took questions from the audience.  The candidates were in the middle of their closing statements, in particular Barbara Alby,  when Beth Gaines and one of her daughters intruded to the point that  the debate had to be stopped.

The debate, as stated was  in closing  remarks,  it is now almost 8:00.  A phone call would have sufficed to let us know that Ted wouldn’t be attending, you think?????  Here’s the excuse we heard for Mr. Gaines’ absence.

There have been several interesting developments since the debate at William Jessup University between the candidates for California Senate District 01.  This blogger has been contacted by both a reporter at the Sacramento Bee and a student journalist at CSUS.

You would think their interest would be, “What kind of payment is necessary to Gaine the endorsement of Howard Jarvis Association; but alas, their interest was, “Who are the Tea Party Activists endorsing Barbara Alby.

In El Dorado Hills on Thursday night the League of Women Voters had a debate among the 4 candidates for California Senate District 01.   I will be right out front and expose that I have a horse in this race.   Now,  I am supporting Barbara Alby because she has a good record of being effective and is the only republican in the race that has kept the tax pledge and has not raised taxes.

Ted Gaines supporters accuse me of ABBT(Any Body But Ted) just because thats who they support.  They really think alot of themselves and remind me a great deal of the elitist Democrats.  You know, I ‘m not smart enough to make my own decisions.

Alby supporters are attacking the CRA, an orginization she’d been active in years ago but has been seen in sparingly in the last 10 years. Why – the CRA was going to endorse Ted Gaines and Karen England was spreading a malicious rumor that endorsement was bought.

Psychotic Alby supporter Ken Campbell perpretrated that rumor about the CRA emdorsement again.

No one is entitled to a CRA endorsement. Ted Gaines earned it with his 90+% CRA Scorecard -

Let’s clear this up.  Both Rick Keene and Roger Niello voted “YES” on the 2007 California budget.  Rick Keene also voted “YES” on the 2008 budget

In June of this year in the California SD-4 race Rick Keene was running against Doug LaMalfa in the primary.  The Placer GOP Central Precinct Committee wanted to endorse Rick Keene.  It almost happened.  The same players were there.  Tom Hudson was the chair.  George Park was the vice-chair and Aaron Park was head of the endorsement committee.  Cozy.

Now, when they wanted to endorse Rick Keene in June, they never once thought it unkind of him to approve a budget raising taxes that in George’s own words,  would make him a:

compromiser we cannot afford who has helped drive the economy of California off a cliff. Roger Niello voted for two Democrat budgets in 2007 and 2009 that added Billions of dollars of red ink to the state deficit.  His votes for more spending and the largest tax increase in California history are responsible for worsening the recession and adding to the economic disaster that we are all suffering through.  We need a true friend of the Taxpayer like Ted Gaines who stands up for the little guy.

When you pay your car tax – thank Roger Niello for jacking it up 77%.

When you pay more at the store – thank Roger Niello for the 14% increase in the sales tax.

When you have to pay more state income tax – thank Roger Niello for raising all state income tax brackets and for slashing the dependent tax credit in half.

Oh, is that Roger Niello that he is blogging so disparagingly of??????  But here we have proof of the support of Rick Keene by the Park brothers.  You have to check the next to last paragraph, right before he starts quoting scripture.

Look at the enormous sums of money donated by Doug LaMalfa to the Reverend England’s “Charity” - it explains her psychotic rampage against the members of the Placer County Republican Party that supported Rick Keene.

So, why the hypocisy.  Why is it ok to fall into league with one devil that votes ”YES” on the 2007 budget but not the other?????? Such ethics.  It is whispered that  if you pay them the princely sum of $4000.00/month they will endorse and blog for you.  If you don’t, oops wrong devil…….

I have long been an avid supporter of Howard Jarvis. I arrived in California in 1978, in the center of the Prop 13 battle. So, I just idolized Howard Jarvis for all the work they did and from what the normal voter sees, all the support they continue to lend. Not anymore!!!!!!

Much has been written about Ted Gaines’ vote on AB 1422. Ted Gaines, himself, stood on the assembly floor and said it was a tax.

As I mentioned in my last blog on Mr Gaines, through the freedom of information act, I was also able to collect a letter from Howard Jarvis stating that AB 1422 is a tax.

This is after Ted Gaines signed the No New Tax Pledge.

Now Howard Jarvis is endorsing Ted Gaines for California Senate District 01.  They are lauding his signing of…… (wait for it) the NO NEW TAX PLEDGE!

I will never respect Howard Jarvis again.  I have held them in high esteem all these many years but no more.  They have become the establishment they once fought against for the taxpayer.

Now how many people do you think need to be hired by the government to manage this little debacle?  As with Obamacare, they will have to grow government(more taxes) to hire hundreds of thousands of IRS to manage the health care bill.  That’s where they get the taxpayer the worst, the growth of government through the employment to manage their pass through, you know, to get the federal funds.  The “FAT CATs” think we’re stupid.
