I’ve neglected my blog for sometime now. Haven’t been in the mood to share anything of interest. But I recently photographed the Pro Wrestling Syndicate Super Card in Metuchen on April 4, 2013. Was able to photograph John Morrison, Necro Butcher, ”The Bulldozer” Matt Tremont, Joe Hardway, of The South Side Playaz Club, Amber O’Neal and Shelly Martinez. Quite an experience.

Who said cheerleading is not a sport? Or that cheerleaders are not athletes? I spent 9 months with reporter Jackie Friedman and videographer Nyier Abdou documenting a team of 8-11 year-old girls, from Freehold, NJ., for The Star-Ledger, who compete at the highest level for their age group. They are the Twinkles. The group mixes tumbling, modern cheerleading and precise choreography to create a mind-blowing two-and-a-half minute routine that seems impossible for athletes this age. We follow them through their season 2011-2012, perfecting their routine as they chased the national championship.
