Saffy The Pony Loose Jumping

Just a quick little post today but I wanted to share with you my quick exercise yesterday.

My owner let me run loose with no saddle, no lunge line, indeed she had no control over me what so ever apart from of course her delightful vocal sounds.

So I behaved impeccably and you will note from my return to her that I am becoming quite worryingly much like a dog returning to one's owner!

Anyway enough is enough and I must go now and annoy my neighbour "Little Dude"!

Saffy the pony introduces Little Dude the Thoroughbred

Allow me to introduce my stable mate. I say stable but in my opinion he is far from stable!

Quite unstable at times, on his hooves, is our Thoroughbred "Little Dude"!

Little Dude is a Thoroughbred horse and is only a mere three years old. He is by all accounts going to make a very good race horse given time. His blood line I have heard my owner say to her husband is very very good. His mum and dad apparently are top notch racers so he should, should turn out to be good!?!

Let me tell you just how it is to live next door to this, this, buffoon of a horse!

As you can tell I am not too impressed by this example that lives next door to me. Not only do we live right next door to each other we even have to share our field time together.

His stable, Oh my his stable!!! I do not know how my owner and her husband put up with it!?!

I watch him through the crack in the stable wall. His feeding technique is not quite right. He receives his feed like the rest of us in a haynet and one bucket for the good grub. His hay arrives in the net, he then tugs the hay from the net with his mouth. So far so good. Then somehow the hay fails to arrive in his stomach as most of it falls from his mouth to the floor where his hooves trample it into the wood shavings of his bed! How he achieves this I fail to understand. All hay in my mouth gets to my stomach. Full stop!

As for his good grub. Well this amazes me every day. I can hear the buffoon and this is what I see.

I see his bucket get the food. His bucket hangs on the door. I see his big head enter the bucket at some quick speed. More a blur of a motion. He then swizzles his head around at some speed once again. Then his head fly's up from the bucket and feed is sprayed everywhere! Seriously there is feed being sprayed from one side of the stable to the next... I give up I really do. He then looks at me looking at him, sorts of smiles at me and this therefore means there is more feed falling from his mouth. I turn away not impressed.

I would like to point out here that my owner and husband look after us very well. They feed us consistently throughout the day. They water us throughout the day and they muck us out consistently every day, and skip us out twice daily. However the Dude, the Dude, he has no idea of how to help himself keep his own bed clean. He appears not to have one spot to do his poo in. He goes everywhere without a care. His bed uses up to three times as much bedding each and every day. I of course am very clean and know where to go.

Lastly our field time. When I step forth from my stable onto the yard, I do gracefully and with pride in my stride. The other horses and ponies look at me with a hint of jealousy in their eyes because of the way I carry myself and of course my amazing good looks. Then they take note of Little Dude who comes lolloping behind me. He reminds me of a banana. He does not carry himself gracefully at all. He will just stop for no reason. Refuse to move and just stand there looking at me looking at him with my owner standing too looking at him, until he finally decides he has had enough just standing there and begins moving again. In the field he follows me everywhere and whinnies every time I move away.

Please Lord help the Dude become more equine before too long. Thanks Saffy the Pony xx

Eye Eye

Now please people (horses and ponies included) don't get me wrong. I know I am a superior pony and am not easily influenced by others of my kind. Much like you people out there who simply choose not to engage in conversation with others who are not on the same wave length as you.

To be honest my owner has me well sussed out! I always always always end up becoming chummy with the most naughty of ponies or horse!

This one has really caught my eye though! The only draw back that I can work out though is that it is just. Well it's just one of them there common schooling ponies. You know the one's that just stand about all day in a common stable shared by another four or five ponies. All standing there doing nothing but munching hay, drinking water and occasionally being taken out for people to sit on them and plod round the school.

With that said just the other day there was somewhat of a small revolt by this lot! Led by no less than the owner of this beautiful eye above. Here is what happened. It was early morning and the sun had just risen. Always a good time to wind up the humans as they always seem slightly tired at this time! Anyway...

The schooling ponies were being led down from the field from where they had been left to party all night. They were being led in a herd. As in not one of them had a head collar on so they were free to do what they liked any old time!!!!

Boy oh boy thats just what they did. Before you knew it the owner of that mischievous eye above led the herd a merry dance!

My owner shouted to her husband "Smeagol Smeagol use your long arms to stop them!!!" Well you should have seen him waving his long arms about here and there but nothing was stopping the merriment of the pony club....

Nothing that is until as normal the humans came armed with the feed buckets. Like most animals we are aware that you lot feed us and to be honest we are starving in the morning so like all good ponies they went back into their stable to munch on their grub...

Been a while I know since I was here last but boy oh boy oh boy what a horrible year me my friends especially Little Dude, Misty and my owners have had.

They say on average the human beings moves house eight times in a life. Well the Mr and Mrs owners of me have moved six times in the last year. Five of those in the last five months. Up down, up down! Now finally we seem to have settled down in the highlands of Scotland and its bloody well snowing and tis not even December yet!!! More to follow

Well people I can confirm that my lady has finally brought myself to a place where my senses have finally been brought to life. I do confess that when I see the view (that i have attached below) I got rather excited reared a little and suddenly me little legs started pumping like a steam engine that was overheating:-

Now not only does my lady owner bring me here, but then she starts playing with my emotions by ensuring that my yummy yum yum lick is right by myside to really get me going but oh boy oh boy what a stallion there is in the stables. I escaped from my field ran round the stallion and gave him a great big kiss with my orange lips, then had a merry game with my owner by making her run after me round the fields....

Lastly I wind up this post by making a rather bold statement.

"Humans are not the most intelligent of creatures!!!"

I shall now explain why and also by way of a picture show why...

They speak in different language you know when they speak either to us horse's or ponies. Indeed even if they are talking to other horsey people!!! Below is a brief translation but why they do this lord knows. They are not clever and to be honest we laugh at their silliness....

Hack = A walk..... Not a cough then???

Turn Out = Put in field... Not to turn anybody or anything out then?

Canter = Jog....Jog on you fools...

Gallop = Run or sprint. Why oh why as well do they say lets have a quick gallop. We are hardly going to have a slow gallop are or that would be a hack!!!!

I ask you if this is how they treat their best friends. What have they got in store for us!!!

Well I thought something was up. I had noticed the familiar look in my owners eyes. A sadness behind her normal sparkle was present on her last visit to me in a place that the humans had called "Super Duper Farm"!!! I neigh at that strongly Super Duper Farm was more like Super Duper Let Down anyway what happened?

When down at the SDF a great big posh horse box arrived. To my amazement the driver came over to me and before I knew what was happening I was on board. I hoped it was to be a short journey but alas no... It was a full 24 hours before I could see my owner again but boy oh boy look at where I have arrived....

There is something wrong...

My beautiful owner has not been seen here for the last couple of weeks...

Everything is changing.... What was once a busy place with people coming in and riding different ponies and horses now seems so quiet. Much like a ghost town I imagine.

My friends have simply disappeared and there is not nearly so many humans looking after us.

I have to go as there is a car coming and I don't want them to know that I can write.

Horse Show

What a day!!! I can honestly tell you there was an odd assortment of people and animals at this show. I have taken pictures as pictures do tell a thousand words but from my own view point on the whole I can tell yee I am most happy being the fine specimen of a pony that I am...

I do admit to falling head over heels in infatuation with this fine looking pony:-

If I could have only broken him free from the trap we would have had a fine time galloping across the fields, swishing our tails, neighing and smiling for hours on end. Sad to say though that the humans (dressed in yellow like canaries) had really got him in strong harness gear...

Though I do declare he looked my way and winked at me ;) I winked back at him and before I knew it I did a little twirl and whinnied back at him, then them humans cracked their whip and he was off before we got to really say hello :(

I walked on slowly looking this way and that, then I noticed this fellow being paraded about but for the life of me I don't know why? I think possibly it is because the people showing him were dressed in white coats!?! Yes white coats like them horrible BUTCHER people:-

Thankfully not a lot of people were interested in watching the butchers parading their next victim. Did make the hairs on my coat stand on end so without further ado I decide to walk on and then oh my lord I saw something so silly and to be quite honest I do not know why my cousins get so much attention but they do look at this donkey:-

Well that did make me chuckle and I did a little snort through my nose to which I was abruptly told off!!! Honestly my owner I have heard many a time doing this behaviour and if I can be more crude sometimes I even hear her do a little bottom burp!!!

Then of all things a new shudder broke through me as I thought I had seen my arch enemy!!! That being the pesky Frankie Magic. My delightful owners dog!!! Thankfully when I took a second look I realised that it must have been one of his family for even though it looked like him, it was by far way too young:-

By the time all this had happened it was late on in the day so I rested myself and took pleasure in seeing the horses being paraded about. I say pleasure as even though they are not as good as us ponies they are of course just a step down from me. I luckily caught some pictures for you to view:-

I noticed these two looking at me admiringly. Though as much as I liked their admiring looks to be honest I am more than happy with my lovely owner so without further ado I started making a commotion and annoying my owner so much that she declared "I have had enough of you!!! We are going home!" Ha ha I thought my plan worked!

I seriously am only just getting used to this...

You ever tried typing with hoofs?!?

Anyway this will be a short post as my owner will soon be returning and I am off to a horse show!!! That by itself does quite annoy me as I am a PONY not a horse and for the life of me why oh why do horses get all the credit I will never know!!! I guess it is because they are bigger than us ponies but what a lot of you humans/people do not know is that we ponies are the more intelligent four legged animals you can meet! Yes by that statement I include horses! Oh I could go on but why take just my word for this? Go check an excellent science website that validates my words...

Look now my owner is returning and I must be off but it would be rude of me for you to visit and for me not to show myself...

Also before I go I must say a big thank you to jason my owner's hubby to be for allowing me to use his google profile to type. What is the matter with Google they don't allow animals profiles. That in my opinion is animalistic the same as bigotry!!!
