Understood. I've never looked at nginx myself, but I know a lot of people like it. The simplicity of lighttpd's config file compared to Apache is one of the things I've liked about it.

Gunnar on "How to Use Lighty in a Development Environment"

I'd take nginx anyday, not to start a flame, but just because nginx config files makes more sense to me. :)

Richard Cockrum on "markUp - A New Habari Plugin"

Hi Cristobal,

Thank you for the compliment.

This is the Habari markUp plugin. After it was functioning well I donated it to the community for further improvement. The source code is viewable at <a href="http://trac.habariproject.org/habari-extras/browser/plugins/markup">Habari-Extras</a>. The download link at the end of this post is for a zip file of the plugin from Habari-Extras.

Most of the plugins linked on the wiki plugins page are maintained and hosted by their author. Most of the plugins in Habari-Extras are not linked there. They can be downloaded from the <a href="http://habariproject.org/dist/plugins/">plugin distribution page</a>. One day we will have a more sensible, user-friendly mode of distribution. People are working on getting that together.

Cristobal Dabed on "markUp - A New Habari Plugin"

1. Any reason you haven't linked in this plugin in the plugins page.

2. The plugin you have written seems more well done since all it's contents is put in one place, instead of 2 places like the habarit plugin.

Richard Cockrum on "The Next Step In Blog Domination"

Thank you, Andy.

Actually, I'm a solo blogger too. Since I began blogging I've never had occasion to use the capabilities that ACL offers. Even as a solo, though, it can come in handy. Guest posters, private posts, and subscription based content all come to mind.

Regarding the ads, they are more than a little incongruous. :) Eventually, somebody on another blog platform will be saying the same thing when a Habari ad pops up on a post about their favorite software.

Andy C on "The Next Step In Blog Domination"

PS.
