Original McLean Brew is a small, custom brewing outfit. They specialize in brewing low quantity brews to make that special occasion of yours extra special. No two brews are the same with Original McLean Brew. Often times they toss out the recipe to ensure your brew is unlike any other.

OBJECTIVE
Original McLean Brew Logo + Identity, and Letterpress Beer Label

NOTES
This was quite a unique project in that it was hands on from start to finish. The client specializes in small, custom brews, so what better opportunity to brew than for his best friend getting married (you could definitely say he was the BEST man in this case). We were able to develop the identity for Original McLean Brew, design a label for this special occasion, and letterpress the piece in house.

The Newlyweds: Grant and Amanda Gormley
Date of Wedding: August 26^th, 2011
Style of Beer: Imperial Nut Brown Ale
Ingredients: Victory Malt, Chocolate Malt, Caramel 80 Malt, Williamette and Columbus Hops
Bottles to be brewed: (48) 12oz bottles

This is how the beer is supposed to taste when all is said and done: “A rich, complex high-gravity specialty ale. It’s a full-bodied brew with plenty of hop character to balance this Imperial-style Brown Ale. The slight caramel and chocolate flavors are followed by a nutty aftertaste.”

Or at least this is how I hope it turns out haha
