Chi Miigwech to our dignitaries, drummers, dancer and the all the veteran that lead us this weekend. We do appreciate it.

The pow wow Committee would like to say Chii Miigwech to Tribal Council, Saganing Eagle Landing Casino, Saganing Tribal Center staff, Sam Anglin Indigenous Chef, Saganing maintenance crew, Andahwod maintenance crew and Redrum AuSable Valley Chapter, Bernie Sprague, Frank Cloutier, Midge & CO and all the Golfers for all the support and help. 2026 Chippewa River Cleanup Registration is Closed

For those who have registered, you will be contacted if any changes occur due to weather, etc.

We will meet at Deerfield Park at 10:30 am for a Water Ceremony by Anishinaabe Culture and Language Teacher, Cecelia Mae.

At 11:30 am we will launch into the water at Deerfield Park and will paddle to Meridian Park, picking up trash as we go.

Participants will be transported back to Deerfield Park once the event is complete.

Participants are also welcome to bring their own watercrafts.

Bring Your Own Lunch (BYOL) – No Glass.

All attendees will be required to sign a Photo & Safety Waiver.

We are inviting youth (**11 to 17 years old at the time of camp) to register and attend Natural Resources Tribal Youth Camp. The camp will be held from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday, June 15^th to 18^th with limited availability.

Natural Resources Youth Camp aims to encourage our youth to engage and learn about environmental issues, how to better protect and support our natural resources while facilitating and innovating sustainable development. Camp will provide youth engagement and participation opportunities to learn about environmental concepts such as: Great Lakes ecosystems; clean water, air, and land; stewardship activities; scientific inquiry and critical thinking; and cultural values. We are excited to participate and further develop local place-based learning opportunities for our Tribal youth to experience and we look forward to collaborating with local Environmental partners and educators such as Chippewa Watershed Conservancy, Chippewa Nature Center, the Little Forks Conservancy, Forest Hill Nature Area, and other Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe departments with environmental and educational initiatives.

*Lunch will be catered by Nbakade

Registration deadline is June 10^th, 2026 with a reduced $20 registration fee (that will be returned upon completing camp). Registration fee and completed application packet are required to reserve camp spot. Payment is being taken at the Planning Department (2451 Nish-Na-Be-Anong Rd.).
