The promoters of Dhuni.org happy to announced that the New and Upgraded Version of "First ever virtual world reincarnation of Sai Baba’s sacred fire" for iPhone is now available on iPhone store. Existing users of the SaiDhuni App can now upgrade the existing version, while new users can also downlod the new 1.1 version to kindle the sacred flame on their iphones. The downloads are free and the users are offered several interactive activities that earn them fuel credits to keep fueling the flame and keep it perpetually burning just as Sai Baba’s original Dhuni (sacred fire) is still kept burning in Dwarkamai mosque in Shirdi where Sai Baba used to live during his lifetime. These activities cover a wide range of activities and daily needs like travel planning and reservations, sending flowers and gifts to family and friends as Sai Baba blessings, home-based business programs, popular eBooks for a broad range of learning needs, etc. The devotees can interact with each other and write on the Wall. Some of these activities, which are not enabled in the previous version are now fully enabled in the new version, plus there are new features that the devotees will like.

On the occassion of releasing the new version, Mr Ramgopal, the chief of promoters of the SaiDhuni project said, "in this latest version, we have created some new interactive features for users, wherein, users can offer flowers to Sai Baba and light up incense sticks. The users can also ring the Holy Bell signifing user's entry into Sai Baba's sacred space. We have also updated the user interface with more user friendly features. SaiDhuni iPhone App Now Available In App Store

March 5, 2012. Dhuni.org announced today that Apple, Inc. approved SaiDhuni application for publishing in its iTunes Store. The SaiDhuni App provides the 300 million Sai Baba devotees yet another way to be connected with the first ever virtual world reincarnation of Sai Baba’s sacred fire. The application is compatible with iPhone, iPod, and iPad with 4.0 or later versions of iOS. The devotees can now download the App from iTunes and kindle the sacred flame on their Apple devices. The Android version was released on January 30, 2012 and has been well received by users with five star reviews.

As in the Android and Facebook versions of the App, the downloads are free, and the users are offered several interactive activities that earn them fuel credits to keep fueling the flame and keep it perpetually burning just as Baba’s original Dhuni (sacred fire) is still kept burning in Dwarkamai mosque in Shirdi. It's Thursday January 26th, and as announced earlier SaiDhuni went live coinciding wth auspicious final Thursday Aarti. The excitement to make SaiDhuni accessible to everyone is finally over. SaiDhuni application is now live on Dhuni.org website and SaiDhuni App on Facebook. The Android and iPhone apps are pending approval from Android Market & App Store. The beauty of the application is that the user can login from either Dhuni.org website or Facebook or Android or iPhone and still remain fully in sync making it easy for users to switch from one platform to the other. Sai Baba And Dhuni

Shri Saibaba of Shirdi was an Indian spiritual guru and a fakir who transcended the barriers of religions, and was regarded with great reverence by both Hindu and Muslim followers. He lived in Shirdi, a town in the west-Indian state of Maharashtra, between 1838 and 1918. His real name, birthplace and date of birth are not known. The name "Sai" was given to him upon his arrival at Shirdi, by Mahalsapathi, a devotee of Kandoba Raya at the temple stairs where he first saw him.

Sai Baba remains a very popular saint, and is worshiped by people around the world. He taught a moral code of love, forgiveness, helping others, charity, contentment, inner peace, and devotion to God and guru. His philosophy ingrained 'Shraddha' meaning faith and 'Saburi' meaning patience. According to him Shraddha and Saburi were the supreme attributes to reach the state of godliness.

It is believed that sometime in the year 1858, at a tender age of 16 years Shri Saibaba arrived at the village of Shirdi in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra along with a marriage party. He lived in in mosque in Shirdi until his demise in 1918. Sai Baba's teaching combined elements of Hinduism and Islam, practiced Hindu and Muslim rituals, taught using words and figures that drew from both traditions, and was buried in Shirdi. One of his well known epigrams, "Sabka Malik Ek " ("One God governs all"), is associated with Islam and Sufism. He always uttered "Allah Malik" ("God is King"). He gave the name ´Dwarkamayi´ to the mosque and for the entire 60 year period Sai Baba lived there he kept a fire (Dhuni) burning 24/7.

His Sacred Dhuni had very special place and relevance in Saibaba´s life. He never let the Dhuni extinguish during his lifetime and his followers used to contribute fuel and match boxes to help him keep the Dhuni alive. Sai Baba used to sit by the side of his "Dhuni" and look at it while being deeply absorbed in thoughts. He used to distribute the 'Udi' the sacred ash of his Dhuni, to all who came to Him, as a token of His grace.

Sai devotees believe when you visualize Sai Baba sitting near his Dhuni in the Dwarakamai of your heart, all your senses and sins of present and past will be offered to this holy fire. Everything we see, smell, listen, read, write, possess, want, desire and our own body is reduced to ashes and goes back to the mother earth. This is one of the simple teachings of Sai Baba. All the living and non living things come into being due to mother earth and all of them back to earth. The soul when it has finished its cycle of birth and death goes back to the eternal ´Light of God,´ and for us Shirdi Sai devotees this means ´reaching the holy feet of Shirdi Sai Baba´ means ´reaching the holy feet of Shirdi Sai Baba.´

For the previous 153 years Sai Baba´s Sacred Dhuni is perpetually burning and still graces millions of devotees who visit his shrine in Shirdi with Baba´s blessings. SaiDhuni now brings the same Scared Dhuni to hundreds of millions of Sai Devotees worldwide.

Sanctity Of SaiDhuni

An eternal flame is a flame or torch that burns constantly. The flames that burned constantly have been archaic feature of divineness, spirituality, permanency and solidarity from times immemorial. Continually burning fire was a constant feature of every Greek temple. The Bible commands that "The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out", regarding the altar of the Tabernacle. (Leviticus 6:13, KJV). It represented a blessed source of light over darkness. Through time it became very symbolic for wisdom, knowledge and religious worship.
The eternal flame of the original Judaic Tabernacle is still celebrated as the present day Ner Tamid (eternal flame) that hangs above the Ark in every Synagogue, and the Christian Churches, particularly Catholic and Lutheran feature an eternal flame on or hung above their altars. An eternal flame constantly tended by a dedicated priest is a feature of Zoroastrian religious culture. These practices and beliefs have their prehistoric roots in ancient Egyptian and Indian traditions.
