Simply Outdoors Shorewood

We bought this Simply Outdoors Shorewood 4 Pc. White Wicker Coastal Set after we got our income tax return. This is the only purchase we made from that return, we used the rest to pay off one of our credit card with interest. We got it on sale when Sears had their Spring sale.

Our porch wasn't wide enough so we have to put it long ways. The table top has a tempered glass and required a little assembly so the kids help out Dad to put it together. It's nice to have a furniture outside because we can really enjoy our newly built front porch and enjoy the warm weather.

I think I would like to put a carpet on the porch floor but that would be a next project to think about.

It's funny, hubby is talking me into having a sun porch built at the back. Right now, we have a skinny back porch out there and he wants to widen the space by removing the existing porch and replace it with an enclosed sun porch but much bigger. I told him that we can't do it this year since we still have to pay off the rest of the loan we made last year. We spent almost $22,000 for the building of the front porch and we still have like seven grand left to pay. Our goal is to have it paid by the end of this year. The good thing is, we split this amount and transferred it to a 0% interest offer that we got so we are not paying any interest.

My husband is very good in envisioning projects but my responsibility is to make sure that we have the money we need before we start the project. Too much debt stresses me out. So let us see if we can do it in the next years to come, I hope!

When the Big Lots here in our area were closing, I bought these Disney character pens for a dollar each. My kids were still little then but I figured they would like these and they do!

The Burritos found the heart designed pen at my FIL's basement and he gave it to them.

The chance of finding the best price and high quality product is better online because you get to compare different selections from different online resources.

4 Sided Grater

I bought these 4 sided grater last weekend. This makes my food preparation a lot easier especially with lumpia where I chop a lot of veggies.

I have been using this a lot ever since I bought it. Yesterday, it made the cole slaw preparation a lot easier.

I was vacuuming our floor when I saw a beautiful pattern of shadows from the chair next to our humidifier. We got this humidifier for free, I mean we bought it with the reward I redeem from reading email ads. It's nice to get things that has good use without spending a cent out from your budget.

The athletic group of St. Joseph school is called the "Spartans". Ms. Burrito is lucky to receive these set of gifts from the Arnold family.

A much needed drink bottle canister to quench someone's thirst during summer time. It would be good to bring in a quadrangle when you practice for your sports.

When I was stationed in Pittsburgh years ago, my boss and his wife used to go to Vegas two to three times a year. He said that his wife likes to gamble so he would take a week off and take her there. Fence Stain

We painted the outside part of our fence and stained the inside. Now we need to stain it again. We plan to do that this year. A bucket of stain cost around $170 so I have to save for that so we could do it this summer.

How To Avoid Getting Arrested

Most adults know drinking and driving isn’t safe. American children watch movies and programs about the dangers of drinking and driving. For many people, going out and having a few drinks doesn’t always result in drunk driving. However, the blood alcohol content (BAC) level in most states is .08, so most social drinkers don’t feel impaired at all. To avoid being arrested, there are a few things you can do.

Car Maintenance

On weekends, police are more diligent about routine traffic stops. These sometimes result in DUI charges. Make sure all lights are working, even the ones for your license plate. Plates should be current and registered to the vehicle they’re on. Remove any stickers or enhancements that could draw suspicion.
Keep your car maintained to avoid breakdowns. Keep tires properly inflated and brakes working correctly and quietly. Check wipers and windows often for proper function. A clean car with non-tinted windows will draw less attention than a dirty one with dark tint.

Driving Tips

Most DUI arrests occur after midnight on Friday and Saturday evenings. Don’t drive after midnight if you’ve had drink. Traffic is thinner and a mistake can result in a traffic stop.
Plan your route beforehand. Avoid stop signs and choose traffic signals. Drive like you’re taking your license exam. Leave plenty of space between your car and those in front of you at stop lights and during travel. Stop at all yellow lights. Minimize distractions and keep windows up if it’s a cool evening.

Alternate Transportation

The best way to keep from being arrested: don’t drive. Designate a driver before the night begins. can a drunk passenger be charged with dui? You are not exempted. Some states enforce passenger charges. Any doubts about who was driving means both parties could be arrested. Rarely are charges issued if the driver is drunk because you allowed them to drive using your vehicle. Call a cab since some bars have working relationships with cab companies, and even offer discounts to patrons.

Monitor Drinking

Keeping tabs on how much you drink helps you decide how intoxicated you are. Most women weighing between 120 and 180 pounds will be over the legal BAC limit after only three 12-oz beers or three glasses of wine. Men weighing between 160 and 200 pounds will reach the limit after four or five drinks.

Dark beer has more alcohol content than lighter beer and red wine has more content than white. The sweeter the drink, the less alcohol. Dark-colored liquor and clear, non-grain alcohol has high content.

My daughter used to love watching Winnie the Pooh show. She was delighted when a family that we met over in South Korea gave her a Winnie the Pooh mink blanket.

Please don't mind the crocked frames lol. With the two Burritos always jumping on top of Ms. Burrito's bed, it is hard to make it stay in the right place.

She makes her bed before going to school. She doesn't want me to change anything so when she comes back from school, she inspect it too lol. When she was just learning to make her bed, she gets frustrated when she can't execute what she likes to do but now she is starting to be good at it. I always tell her that practice makes perfect.

Naval Museum

Hubby spent twenty years in the Navy and he's been retired for two years now. So far, we are enjoying the time that he is retired because we get to spend most of the time especially that he is attending school instead of working. Our children's age is the critical stage where they need our guidance the most so I am happy that we get to spend 80% of our time with them. Well, for me, it is 100% as I am a stay-at-home-mom which I don't regret giving up my career. I think, it is worth it that I take care of my kids rather than paying someone to do it for us so I could work. We might not have the luxury of buying things that we want but at least we have enough to supplement our NEEDS!
