Well brothers and sisters our new web page is up and running. I hope that you will take a second to do some exploring of our new page we will have all kinds of information for you. Please be patient with us as we roll out the new look. You might not find everything that you are looking for right away but little by little the page will be updated. Please tell all your family members and fellow parishioners about this new page.
I also want to share with you the importance of the season that we as a Church are beginning, that is, the season of advent. I know that it is so easy to get caught up in all the worldly preparations for Christmas, such as, shopping and all the other traditions that you may have in your families. All of these things are very good but they can also carry with them a danger that they might distract us from the true meaning of advent. Advent is a season, in which, the Church invites us to prepare for the coming of the Lord in two ways; firstly, by inviting us to always be prepared for the Lord to call us to heaven, secondly, to be ready for Christ to be born in the flesh. I invite you in this season please have an advent wreath in your home, please make an effort to come to daily mass, speak with your children about the season so that they do not fall into the trap of only looking forward to Christmas for the gifts, take advantage of the sacrament of confession during advent, and finally take some time during this season of advent and visit Jesus in our Church. Let this season be a true preparation for the coming of Christ and may the Lord in this Christmas season find a place ready in each one of our hearts for Him.
