Kinda Odd but some did have dampers, I looked at one in Ohio that had one, mine is the same year and does not. With out a doubt the Ohio bike was stock. I believe scooter help states they did not have dampers, but I seen them.

Upcoming Rides, Rallies and Events : 2012 Rally Schedule

In about 2010 I came up from Arkansas to ride my '72 Vespa in a vintage scooter rally there in STL, and also brought up my Harley Davidson Topper scooter (which Mark Hinrichs rode). Now I'm wondering if there is another vintage scooter rally planned for 2012 . . . thought I would bring the Vespa and a 1960 Heinkel Tourist to ride.
