			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><em>Star Trek: The Exhibition</em> is in St Louis for the first time, now through May 28, 2012! <em>Star Trek: The Exhibition</em> includes 45 years of artifacts – costumes, models, and props will be on display. <em>Star Trek</em> fans and everyone will be amazed at the items on display and love the opportunity to interact with them, from sitting in the Captain Kirk’s original chair to exploring full-scale replicas of Captain Picard’s Quarters and the Bridge from <em>Star Trek: The Next Generation</em>!</p>
<p>They have extended their special holiday ticket discounts, so get your tickets now! Prices for members are $7.00 for adults, $6.00 for seniors and children (ages 5-12). For non-members, $14.00 for adults, $12 for seniors, and $10 for children.</p>
<p><strong>Check out the St. Louis Science Center’s website for more details about special events, including special guest Robert Picardo, guest lectures on <em>Star Trek</em> topics (find out whether Starships are possible!) and even a <em>Star Trek</em> costume contest!</strong></p>

<p>Inspired by his gardens at Giverny, <a title="Claude Monet Gallery" href="http://www.cmonetgallery.com/" target="_blank">Claude Monet</a> painted about 250 oil paintings of <a title="Monet's Water Lilies" href="http://www.cmonetgallery.com/water-lilies.aspx" target="_blank">water lilies</a>. Three of his water lily works were painted as a triptych (a set of three). The exhibit at the St Louis Art Museum brings the three works together for the first time in more than 30 years and stretches 42 feet wide!</p>
<p><em>Monet’s Water Lilies</em> exhibit includes eight paintings, including the <em>Agapanthus</em> triptych, <em>Water Lilies</em>, and <em>Wisteria Numbers 1 and 2</em>.</p>
<p>Admission to the Art Museum is free and tickets to the Monet featured exhibit are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students, $6 for children 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and younger. Admission to the special exhibit is free on Fridays. However, advanced tickets are selling out quickly and many days are already sold out. The exhibit runs through January 22, 2012 so if you want to see this exhibit, you need to act fast!</p>

And with exhibits for certain age groups (6 and over, 6 and under, and 2 and under) there is something for everyone!</span></span></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Every year, thousands of people flock to Forest Park for the Shakespeare Festival; the only free, professional, outdoor theatre production in St. Louis. Their mission is “to produce professional Shakespeare theatre, outdoors in a city park, free and for a diverse audience, and to provide education through schools and community outreach.”</p>
<p>This year’s production is <em>The Taming of the Shrew</em>, beginning on May 27<sup>th</sup> and running though June 19<sup>th</sup>. Performances start at 8 pm every night (except Tuesdays). Before the show starts enjoy musicians, singers, dancers, and jugglers!</p>
<p>Admission is free, and there are chair rentals for $7 and $10. Or, bring a blanket and sit on the lawn!  Picnic dinners and beverages are also available. Although admission is free, they are dependent on donations.  So come out and support the St. Louis Shakespeare Festival!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Join the festivities in downtown St Louis on March 12, 2011 for the 42<sup>nd</sup> annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade!  This St. Louis parade is considered one of the top parades in the country and there will tons of marching bands, giant cartoon-character balloons and ornate floats! Plus, over 5,000 marches will participate in the parade and 250,000 spectators are expected.  The St Louis St Patrick’s Day Parade starts from 18<sup>th</sup> and Market Streets at Noon.  The parade will proceed east on Market to Broadway and then head south on Broadway.</p>
<p>There will be many food and drink booths selling traditional St Patty’sDay food, plus plenty of hot dogs, bratwurst, and beer.  The Irish Village at Kiener Plaza will also be open all day with Irish-themed entertainment, food, beverages and merchandise.</p>
<p>Also taking place that day is the 33<sup>rd</sup> Annual Michelob Ultra St Patrick’s Day Parade Run, which starts at 9 AM the morning of the parade.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Saint Louis Auto show is coming to town this month, from Thursday, January 27 – Sunday, January 30, 2011. It is the largest car show in St. Louis and will put over 500 new cars, trucks, SUVs, and concept vehicles on display. This year’s auto show will also highlight alternative fuel vehicles and luxury automobiles and will also have several vehicles from GM, Toyota, and Kia available to test drive.</p>
<p>At the St Louis car show there will be a Kids Zone featuring a rock wall, a mini race track with remote control cars, inflatable bounce houses, and a balloon artist to make balloon sculptures for the kids! The Kids Zone will be available for the entire show.</p>
<p>And, to entice women to come and enjoy the car show, Friday, January 28th will be “Ladies Day”, complete with music, massages, giveaways, and fashion shows (one featuring firefighters from the local fire station)!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Have you finished your Christmas shopping yet?  The holidays are quickly approaching and the shopping in St. Louis is abundant no matter what part of the city you’re in.  In addition to the tons of little shops across the city, St Louis shopping malls are a great place to finish up all of your last-minute shopping!  Here are a few of the best St Louis shopping centers and their locations.  Click on the name of each mall to go to their website for more information!</p>
<h2><a title="St Louis Galleria" href="http://www.saintlouisgalleria.com/" target="_blank">St Louis Galleria</a></h2>
<p>With over 66 stores and restaurants, the Galleria is one of the most popular malls in the St. Louis. Dine at California Pizza Kitchen, Five Guys Burgers or many more of the restaurants located inside the mall, as well as catch a movie at the 6 screen theater.</p>
<h2><a title="Mid Rivers Mall" href="http://www.shopmidriversmall.com/shop/mrivers.nsf/index" target="_blank">Mid Rivers Mall</a></h2>
<p>With over 140 shops and restaurants, this mall is one of the larger malls in the area, is St. Charles County&#8217;s largest shopping center.</p>
<h2><a title="St Louis Mills" href="http://www.simon.com/mall/?id=1244" target="_blank">St Louis Mills Mall</a></h2>
<p>With nearly 200 stores, you can find everything you need at The Mills! What’s unique about The Mills is that you can find outlet stores mixed in with regular stores throughout the mall, such as Gap Outlet, The Children&#8217;s Place Outlet, Banana Republic Factory Store, Gymboree Outlet, and Old Navy Outlet. In addition to shopping, kids can enjoy an an indoor/outdoor go-kart race track or ice skating at the indoor ice rink.</p>
<h2><a title="Chesterfield Mall" href="http://www.chesterfield-mall.com/shop/chesterfield.nsf/index" target="_blank">Chesterfield Mall</a></h2>
<p>With about 150 shops and restaurants, Chesterfield Mall also has a movie theatre and several dine-in restaurants such as California Pizza Kitchen, Cheesecake Factory and St. Louis Bread Co.</p>
<h2><a title="Plaza Frontenac" href="http://plazafrontenac.com/?sPageID=7" target="_blank">Plaza Frontenac</a></h2>
<p>Plaza Frontenac is a smaller, upscale shopping center with about 50 specialty stores such as Tiffany &amp; Co., Louis Vuitton and Cole Haan.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The 26<sup>th</sup> annual St. Louis Thanksgiving Day Parade is coming up! The theme of this year&#8217;s parade is &#8220;Family Holiday Magic&#8221;. </p>
<p>The Thanksgiving Parade starts at 8:45 am at the corner of Washington Avenue and N. Fourth Street in downtown.  Find a spot on the parade route as it heads South on N. Fourth Street to Market Street, then West on Market Street and ends at 14<sup>th</sup> Street.  Here is a map of the 2010 parade route:</p>

<p>This year’s Grand Marshal will be Ernie Hays, longtime organist at Busch Stadium. Watch dozens of amazing floats and colorful helium balloons go by, as well as area marching bands and the Battle of the Bands!</p>
<p>You can also watch performances by Variety Kids, Muny Kids, and Sunday Afternoon on the stage in front of the Old Courthouse from 8 – 9 am.</p>
<p>The KMOV Channel 4 &#8220;Great Day St. Louis&#8221; pre-parade show starts at 8:00 am and if you can’t be there for the parade, you can watch it live on KMOV-TV Channel 4 from 8 – 11 am.</p>
