The idea involves a special 4 coach English Electric service that will operate on Saturday 28th November which will call at every station in the electrified network to collect donations of non perishable food. There will be drop in bins available in all manned stations for the week leading up to the collection so
passengers can make donations. We are
looking for volunteers on the trains to help assist collecting goods. If you can help out please see Paul Gardner.

A children’s event for those aged 5-12 years organised by the Salvation Army for the whole Wellington region. The evening will include songs, activities, games, supper and some fun bible teaching. This year as part of our Christmas celebrations at The Salvation Army Johnsonville we are hosting a new Community Christmas experience called “Christmas Tree Wonderland”.

Our motivation is to provide a family friendly opportunity for people within our community to take time out from the busyness of the Christmas season, and enjoy a fun and entertaining hour focused around the Christmas Tree.

As part of this event we are planning to have on display approximately 30 6-foot Christmas Trees, complete with individually themed decorations and lights.
