சேலம்: சேலம் அரசு கலைக்கல்லூரியில் இண்டு நாள் தமிழ் கருத்தரங்கம் நேற்று துவங்கியது. சேலம் அரசு கலைக்கல்லூரி தமிழ்த்துறை சார்பில், சங்க இலக்கியங்களில் பன்முகப்பார்வை என்ற தலைப்பில் இரண்டு நாள் மாநில அளவிலான கருத்தரங்கம் நேற்று துவங்கியது. துவக்கவிழாவில் தமிழ்த்துறை தலைவர் மாது அனைவரையும் வரவேற்றார். அரசு கலைக்கல்லூரி முதல்வர் சீதாராமன் தலைமை வகித்தார்.

பெரியார் பல்கலை சிண்டிகேட் உறுப்பினர்கள் ராஜேந்திரன், பெரியசாமி ஆகியோர் முன்னிலை வகித்தனர். தஞ்சை தமிழ் பல்கலை முன்னாள் துணைவேந்தர் சுந்தரமூர்த்தி கலந்து கொண்டார். "சங்க இலக்கியங்களில் குடும்பம்' என்ற தலைப்பில் பெரியார் பல்கலை தமிழ்த்துறை தலைவர் மாதையன், "சங்க அகத்திணை பாடல்களில் புறம் சார் கூறுகள்' என்ற தலைப்பில் பேராசிரியர் சுதந்திரம், "திணைக்கோட்பாடுகளும், முரண்பாடுகளும்' என்ற தலைப்பில் மாநிலக்கல்லூரி இணை ஆசிரியர் உதயகுமார், "சங்க இலக்கியங்களில் சமயக்கோட்பாடுகள்' என்ற தலைப்பில் குணசேகரன் ஆகியோர் பேசினர். இதில் 100க்கும் மேற்பட்ட மாணவ, மாணவியர் மற்றும் ஆசிரியர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.

சேலம்: சேலம் சக்தி கைலாஷ் கல்லூரியில் நாளை ஆண்டு விழா கொண்டாட்டம் நடக்கிறது. சேலம் அம்மாப்பேட்டையில் உள்ள சக்தி கைலாஷ் கல்லூரியில் நாளை "கிரஸண்டோ 10' ஆண்டு விழா நாளை நடக்கிறது. 5,000 பேர் அமர்ந்து பார்க்கும் விதத்தில் பிரமாண்ட அரங்கம், ஒளி, ஒலி, சாதனங்கள் அமைக்கும் பணி, வளாகம் முழுவதும் மின் விளக்குகள் அமைக்கும் பணி துரிதமாக நடந்து வருகிறது. கல்லூரி துணை முதல்வர் ரேவதி வரவேற்புரை ஆற்றுகிறார். ஏ.வி.எஸ்., கல்லூரி தலைவர் கைலாசம் குத்துவிளக்கேற்றி விழாவை துவக்கி வைக்கிறார்.

பெரியார் பல்கலை துணை வேந்தர் தங்கராசு, அவரது மனைவி நளினி, ஆகியோர் கலந்து கொள்கின்றனர். ஏ.வி.எஸ்., கல்லூரி தாளாளர் ராஜவிநாயகம் பேசுகிறார். விழாவை முன்னிட்டு அயோத்தியாப்பட்டணத்தில் உள்ள தமிழ்நாடு பார்வையற்றோர் பள்ளியை சேர்ந்த 80 மாணவ, மாணவிகளுக்கு 50 ஆயிரம் ரூபாய் மதிப்பிலான சீருடை, எழுதுகோல், புத்தகம், பார்வையற்றோர் பயன்படுத்தும் கருவி வழங்கப்படுகின்றன. ஒரு மாதமாக நடத்தப்பட்ட விளையாட்டு போட்டியில் வெற்றி பெற்றவர்களுக்கு பரிசு வழங்கப்படுகிறது. தொடர்ந்து பரதநாட்டியம், கிராமிய இசை, மேலைநாட்டு நடனங்கள், ஆடல், பாடல், விழிப்புணர்வு நடனங்கள், கலாச்சார நடனங்கள் என கலை நிகழ்ச்சி நடக்கிறது.
