New pricing makes powerful meeting platform more cost-effective for customers

NEW YORK (February 14, 2012) – SalesCrunch, a Silicon Alley technology firm helping clients “apply science to the art of selling,” has announced a significant price reduction for access to its next-generation online meeting platform, CrunchConnect.

CrunchConnect revolutionizes conventional online meeting solutions with a simple yet powerful platform that is optimized for sales, measuring every aspect of the presentation: how long participants are paying attention versus emailing or browsing the web; amount of time salespeople are talking versus listening to clients; how much money meetings cost an organization each month. The platform goes so far as to track who opens the presenter’s follow-up deck, who they forward it to and even how much time recipients spend reading each page, down to the second.

As discussed in his blog post, CEO Sean Black believes SalesCrunch is well positioned to disrupt the online meetings market and explains the rationale behind the new pricing strategy. “We were humbled by how positively the market received our platform. We clearly hit a nerve and were solving a big problem. We were surprised when companies started telling us they wanted every employee to have their own personal online meeting room, not just their sales team. They wanted pricing that could scale to hundreds and thousands of users and $59 per person per month just wasn’t cutting it,” Black said.

CrunchConnect enables presenters to quickly initiate a meeting without requiring clients to download any software – unlike competing solutions. Each CrunchConnect customer receives their own complimentary and unique meeting room URL, e.g. crunchconnect.com/brad-pitt, which they share with participants.

While access to CrunchConnect for online meetings between two participants (presenter and attendee) remains free-of-charge, monthly rates for premium accounts have been slashed by up to 70 percent. Clients requiring more participants will appreciate monthly rates as low as $9/month, a whopping 80 percent less than Citrix Systems’ GoToMeeting. Further, neither GoToMeeting nor Cisco’s WebEx offer any of the tracking and measurement or Salesforce.com integration offered by CrunchConnect.

“We never intended to get into the online meeting market,” Black added. “Creating the CrunchConnect platform was the only way we could think of to measure each component of the sales presentation. An online meetings solution that outperforms the 800-pound gorillas, WebEx and GoToMeeting, was simply a byproduct.”

The hard part of selling isn’t the actual sale. Any good salesperson will tell you it’s the monotonus data entry and admin tasks that get in the way of productivity. Now, online selling platform maker SalesCrunch said it has integrated its next-generation meeting application CrunchConnect into Salesforce.com, with the promise to “…radically reduce the tedious data entry associated with customer relationship management.”

Improved Productivity Moves to a New Level

The technology takes the promise of CRM’s improved productivity, through lead tracking, identifying opportunities and sales, to a new level by removing the burden of documenting customer interactions.

This is done through the integration of CRM with actual customer face time, in presentations, demos and email pitches, as the technology now automates the data entry process by auto-populating Salesforce with new leads and contact information from the meeting attendees’ information. This also gives a boost to data input accuracy.

The data captured can include key contact info (names, email and call-from numbers used to access the meeting) plus create a log of the event (demo, meeting, or presentation.) This is recorded as a customer activity in Salesforce with links to a summary page of the event and recording. Contact information already in Salesforce populates SalesCrunch Connect, the company said

The System is Bi-Directional

SalesCrunch said, on the flip-side, when you are outside of meetings, the SalesCrunch sales team can sends presentations via email to prospects in CrunchConnect. These presentations are logged through CrunchConnect as activity so that anyone within the company can track which presentations are sent and who actually opened and read them. This helps track and qualify prospects as they move through the sales process.

The CrunchConnect web site shows the online software still in beta, with features that include Meet, Connect, Present, Track and Collaborate. The company also said the CrunchConnect integration is available with the “Better and Awesome” plans starting at US$ 59.

CrunchConnect radically reduces data entry by automatically creating leads, updating contacts and adding meeting and presentation activity to Salesforce

NEW YORK (January 30, 2012) — SalesCrunch today announced that its next generation, browser-based meeting and presentation platform CrunchConnect is now fully integrated with Salesforce, reducing the data entry associated with customer relationship management (CRM). By integrating with Salesforce, CrunchConnect can automatically create leads, update contacts and add activity to Salesforce, eliminating most of the tedious data entry required to effectively use Salesforce.

CrunchConnect now automatically adds meeting attendees as leads or updates email addresses, phone numbers, locations and other information to existing contacts. CrunchConnect then adds presentations, demos and the meetings themselves as activity in Salesforce so users can quickly move on to their next meeting. Finally, CrunchConnect allows users to send and track sales and marketing collateral to customers down to the minutes and seconds they spend on every page, which is also logged as activity in Salesforce for a single view of all their customer interactions.

“We live in Salesforce, so CrunchCrunch integration with Salesforce is absolutely critical to us,” said David Hendricks, Chief Operating Officer at email display advertising platform LiveIntent.

Data entry typically presents a headache for salespeople, who prefer to spend more time talking to customers and less time doing administrative tasks. Yet the data needs to be entered so that the company has a full view of customer and prospect interaction. Sales managers often find themselves micromanaging their salespeople to get them to enter their meetings and demos in the CRM system, resulting in lost productivity, lost sales and frustrated managers and salespeople alike. CrunchConnect not only logs this information in Salesforce but also takes data entry a step further by automatically linking to recordings of meetings so that anyone in the organization can review them later.

“In my experience, the best sales pros don’t get out of bed looking forward to another exciting day of Salesforce data entry. CrunchConnect’s integration with Salesforce eliminates a huge burden. Another day without Salesforce data entry? Yes, please!” said Andrew Quinn, Head of Sales Training at marketing automation company HubSpot.

In conjunction with the Salesforce integration, SalesCrunch has released a case study detailing how they benefit from CrunchConnect and Salesforce integration, titled “SalesCrunch + Salesforce: Making CRM Magic Happen.” Read more about making CRM simpler at [insert link to case study here].

“Using CrunchConnect to automate Salesforce data entry makes salespeople happier and more productive and customer data more reliable. It’s a no-brainer for any organization trying to realize the true promise of CRM,” said Sean Black, SalesCrunch’s Founder and CEO.

Online conference calls are supposed to make our lives easier, but the reality is that they’re often quite a hassle, with complicated setup, shared conference lines and scheduling mishaps, and limited sharing software that makes it hard to show a PowerPoint deck to a group of remote people. If you’re frustrated by your existing tools, check out CrunchConnect, a powerful and free online conferencing tool that seems to get just about everything right.

CrunchConnect is an online conferencing tool fromSalesCrunch, a sales automation startup. CrunchConnect is a service that requires just a quick account creation to get started. It also depends heavily on JavaScript, and required me to update every web browser I tried to use it on. Once I got past the initial setup, though, CrunchConnect was awesome.

You can start a meeting with just a few clicks, uploading a PowerPoint deck in the process. Invitees don’t need to join CrunchConnect — just send them an invite or email them a direct link to the meeting. Attendees can see the PowerPoint deck, text each other with an integrated instant messaging tool, and share control of the screen. You can promote anyone on the call to presenter and give them the ability to display their PC. Conference calls also have a dedicated call-in number, so you can let CrunchConnect call you and connect the call, or you can share the number and passcode.

Perhaps the coolest feature is CrunchConnect’s tracking tool. When you share the meeting invite, it goes out as a trackable link, which lets you see who opens and reviews your presentation after the meeting is over.

You can try out CrunchConnect for free — you can store one PowerPoint deck and get 200 conference call minutes. For $39 a month, you can conference up to 10 people with 10 decks, and get 500 minutes. There are additional plans as well, for $59 a month and $99 a month. Check out the full pricing plans at CrunchConnect.

I think we can all agree: screen share technology sucks. I mean, what’s with all the plugins and software downloads?

How Screen Share Works

Screen share works by rapidly taking thousands of pictures of your screen, uploading them to a computer and then broadcasting them to your viewers. Think YouTube in real time. Presenters need software to capture their screen, and viewers need software to view it.

The Old Guard vs. CrunchConnect

The old guard (WebEx, GoToMeeting, etc) forces everyone to download and install desktop software, causing lots of problems for lots of people.

CrunchConnect just uses your browser: everybody has one. Presenters just need Java and viewers need Flash. Most people have both installed–these are free and so widespread they’re almost standard issue. This approach gets most people connected immediately without technology getting in the way.

So What’s the Problem?

Unfortunately, not all computers are up to date. For example, Apple recently started shipping new Macs without Java or Flash, for their own reasons.

What Are You Doing About It?

Updating Flash or Java is a quick one-time thing. In the next few days, we’re rolling out a feature that will automatically check your setup (and your customer’s), and quickly guide you through any necessary updates. It won’t get in the way if you’re A-OK.

We also encourage you to upload your presentations into SalesCrunch whenever possible: it’s fast, trackable, and it works pretty much in every browser out there without any need to share your screen.

See you on CrunchConnect. We hope you like the improvements.
PALO ALTO, Calif., July 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Jive Software announced today that its CEO Tony Zingale, joined by several executives from Jive and the industry, will lead an exclusive thought-leadership gathering on Wednesday, July 27 in San Francisco. The participants will discuss the quickly evolving apps market landscape and explore strategies to enable enterprises to thrive in the ‘Consumerprise’ era. The event will feature select partners in the Jive Apps Market, the first social enterprise apps market.

Apps have become core to employees’ personal and work lives – from mobile devices to the desktop. Delivered from the cloud, they are immediately accessible, social and easy to use. Employees are both demanding and installing them independently of their enterprise organizations. Jive views this as the emergence of the Consumerprise era, which will redefine how apps are developed and used in the enterprise.

This new paradigm presents enterprises with a new challenge: meet the expectations of employees who are demanding consumer-like simplicity in installation and use of their business apps, while empowering IT to drive business results. The Jive Apps Market will enable employees and IT to succeed in this new era. Employees will have access to rich business apps to get their work done, while IT will have the ability to deploy apps that liberate the valuable data trapped inside their enterprise infrastructure.

“Today, business is happening at the speed of social, and enterprises have to respond to this reality,” said Chris Morace, Senior Vice President of Business Development at Jive. “In order to thrive in the Consumerprise era, enterprises need a purpose-built social apps market that satisfies the desire for consumer simplicity with the compliance and security demands of the enterprise. This is the new way to enterprise apps.”
