SM 004: Attitude... Your FIRST Impression

I’m sure you’ve heard the expression; “You only have one chance to make a first impression! “ Your attitude, is immensely affected by your self esteem. HOW you feel about yourself is reflected in your behavior. Nathaniel Branden in his best-selling book; “The Six Pillars of Self-Esteem” writes the definition of true self-esteem is; “Confidence in our ability to think, confidence in our ability to cope with the basic challenges of life; and confidence in our right to be successful and happy, the feeling of being worthy, deserving, entitled to assert our needs and wants, achieve our values, and enjoy the fruits of our efforts.” I’m sure you already know that the most successful people have unshakable levels of self-confidence. They've accomplished great successes and happiness in their lives and they seem be able to achieve ANYTHING they set their minds to BECAUSE of their attitude. The fact is that when you develop an attitude of self-confidence, your whole world changes around you. Your perspective on things change, and HOW you look at your world largely determines your results. You have the confidence to take whatever steps and risks necessary. The impact of your attitude has a huge effect upon your circumstances in your environment, to how we operate in our career, how we deal with others, how likely we are to succeed, how much we are liked, how we fall in love to even how much we earn! A positive impression impacts EVERY aspect of your existence.

SM 003: Setting Your Goals... Clarifying Your Destination

Goal setting, what is it? Well basically its plotting a destination of WHERE you want to end up. Let me give you a metaphor I use with my clients; imagine I’m YOUR travel agent, what’s the first question I’m going to ask you? Right... WHERE do you want to go? Why do I need to know that? Because without it the "how we get there" is irrelevant. Can YOU imagine what it would be like to be among one of the wealthiest people you know?Well, that’s what it begins with, a clear IMAGE of yourself having already achieved what you desire. Because without a clear destination... anywhere will do! This will be what this lesson is all about; clarifying your destination! So listen in and let's get creating!

Today’s podcast will focus on what your rules, labels and expectations are about selling. We KNOW from a psychological point of view that your perspective or perceptions greatly influence your client. HOW you perceive yourself and others will either help or hinder your ability to persuade. In order to truly start bringing in the BIG money, you must let go of having to make the sale and begin to think about creating long-term relationships and what THEY need because that will be the deciding factor which will greatly increase your success to grow your bank account and become more consistent in generating referrals. Great salespeople realize it’s not a one-time deal. This is all about relationships and NOT transactions. Remember, we’re not closing sales, we’re opening relationships.
