I just got the call from the embroidery shop that they are all done and I will be running over to pick them up today after my lunch break.

I will be getting them shipped out this weekend! Yay! So expect them in mailboxes around the country next week!

At 11:27 yesterday evening, our newest member ‘antstank32′ registered and joined the insanity that is SalmonCrazy, and that my friends, has made our community 4000 strong!

This is definetly a time to reflect on what was and what will be for our fishing family here on the net. We have come a long way in such a short time and the only people I can thank for that is you… The SC Nation. You have made this a rewarding experience not only for myself but the rest of the staff. These last few years have been a damn great ride and the rollercoaster is just hitting its first loop-de-loop. With the launch of 3.0 this year, we have opened so many possibilities. We are the first site to bring you ‘on the river’ live mobile reports, we have brought you your own video portal and channel and soon we will be your source for unbiased gear info. The new features planned are endless and we will continue to bring you the info that you need when you need it. This was a year of many firsts, but be confident we will not be resting on our laurels.

Thanks to all of you for making a dream a reality.

The recent rain has brought the smaller tribs up so fishing should be pretty good in those spots.

Word from the west is the browns are beginning to show up, although they could really use some rain to help get the flows in the creeks up. Thinking of making a trip myself next week where I will be better equiped to give you a first hand report.

We are closing in on a magical number on the forums. More on that topic to come.

Last but not least get your great Salmon River and Lake Ontario photos in soon. We are looking to start to put together our 2009 calendars in the next few week.

The Portly Angler Lodge

The NY State Department of Environmental Conservation has officially agreed to purchase The Portly Angler in Pulaski, NY.

The motel will continue operations until November 1st. After that time the sale will be officially complete on November 4th.

With the temps being cooler and the water being a nice steady flow, we have seen… well a steady run. We are getting new reports of the steelhead starting to show up in decent numbers along with the browns. The kings are runnign from top to bottom. Beds are starting to show upriver with fresh fish continuing to hit the lower river daily. The estuary is still holding fish so look for another few weeks of good king salmon fishing.

The temps look favorable towards a beautiful weekend on the river with sunny warm fall days and cool nights.
