My new favorite coffee! I love a deep, full brew of dark coffee. This is it. And I love the wonderful aromatics of it, too. This coffee had me at first smell and sip! Will definitely buy again.
When regular coffee started bothering me I was worried I couldn’t get the same taste from decaf then I discovered this coffee! I love this blend , it’s a dark roast that has a nice rich coffee taste without any bitterness or strange flavours . I have a small cuisinart coffee grinder that does an excellent job grinding it in seconds …very easy. You won’t regret buying this . I’m so glad Amazon sells it as my local grocery store stopped selling it, and the price is cheaper!

For a decaf you wouldn’t know it was because the taste tastes just like regular coffee. The beans have an amazing aroma in the bag even before you grind it. I hope this coffee doesn’t go away. Please keep it available to buy.

As an avid coffee enthusiast, I recently treated myself to the Salt Spring Coffee Organic Village Trade Dark Roast Whole Bean, and I must say, it has been an unforgettable coffee experience!The moment I opened the bag, I was greeted with a captivating aroma that hinted at the rich and bold flavors to come. The 907-gram bag ensures that I have an ample supply of freshly roasted coffee, which is perfect for my daily coffee rituals and occasional gatherings with friends.
I brew mine with BBE, stock basket with 20g dosage, 1:2 ratio so 40g out in 32~35 secs @ 9PSI. To compensate for the longer extraction time, I found lowering the temperature to 91c helps with lowering the acidity and improving the overall texture. It's a personal taste thing, as I don't like fruity coffee.The result is beautiful, with lots of sweetness with a hint of acidity when enjoyed straight from the shot. It also makes great americano (plain) and/or latte. Overall, I'm really impressed with the quality of the beans, especially at this price. One last note, I did try this in V60 as well, surprisingly good too.It takes practice to get the most out of any coffee, so keep tweaking the recipe until you find the best results, except for one, avoid anything from Starbucks.
The only coffee EVER that has a bold, hardy "coffee smell" taste. Other strong coffees are just bitter with no actual flavour/ aroma

Amazing coffe, the only thing I want to drink now. Smooth, acidic, rich, and fill of divers flavor notes and works like a dream on a med grind in my french press. like liquid gold. This and the Canopy Bird variety are the only kinda of coffee I buy now and it's always great.
My brother is a crazy researcher type of person and when he said he found the best decaf ever and that it was so good it tastes like regular coffee I just had to try it.I ordered a bag instantly and WOW. I freaking love this coffee. Can't afford to make it my primary since I pay $20 for the large bag of Zavida at Costco but this is an awesome coffee for afternoon/evenings and summer iced coffees.
Gorgeous, rich, smooth, dark and satisfying as espresso or cappuccino. If you get your grind right, you get a chocolate-orange finish which lingers like a lovely wine. Organic! Fair Trade! Salt Spring Coffees are amazing.

Freshly roasted coffee
We start by sourcing the highest quality, organic, green coffee beans. We rigorously test the beans for moisture content and ensure they are free from all mold and mycotoxins. We then roast the beans by hand and expertly blend the varieties for distinctive tasting profiles. Your coffee is then packaged and shipped fresh, directly from our roastery, often within a day or two of being roasted.
The result is a uniquely rich, smooth cup of coffee that we began roasting right here, on Salt Spring Island. We'd love for you to try it!
