Our first Friendly vs Seagulls FC

The Under 7’s played their first game at the weekend and they were up against the Seagulls. Although we lost the first game 1-0 we were really proud of the players in what was a really hard fought game. The lads really stuck to the task. In the 2nd game we lost 4-1. Two of their goals were pretty lucky though as the first took a wicked bounce over everyone, and the 2nd was scored direct from a corner. The wind just curled it back into the top corner of the goal and left our keeper with no chance. Again though, we weren’t outclassed at all; and some of the Brighton parents couldn’t believe they were our first ever matches! The coaches are really proud of all players and it definitely bodes well for the future. Particularly pleasing was the fact that none of them let their heads drop, despite the score lines. They kept plugging away until the final whistle which was great to see.
