<p>From the moment I met Jesse  he was warm, engaging and  uncharacteristically funny. But what  impressed me even more was his  dedication to the music. He played a 30  minute set during sound check  to get everything perfect.</p>
<p>Then after we  recorded a show and he performed a song live for me,  he warmed up his  vocal chords for an hour while answering emails about  his forthcoming  European tour.</p>
<p>There&rsquo;s a reason Bruce Springsteen performs a duet on <em>Glitter in the Gutter</em>. Jesse Malin kicks ass.</p>
