Hi My Loves!

I got this sweater on clearance at Old Navy and I'm loving it! It's so comfy, cozy and cute too :) WOOHOOO!

Sam's Spaghetti Bolognese!

Hi My Loves!!!

Just before Valentine's Day I made Jay's favorite meal that I make, which is Spaghetti Bolognese. It's a great hearty dinner that can feed a lot of people, or if it's just 2 people, you can always freeze the rest of the sauce and use it at another time :) It freezes and re heats super well.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1-Large White Onion

4-Organic Carrots ( I prefer organic because they taste sweeter and cook quicker)

1lb Ground Beef (or turkey if you prefer)

Basil

Salt & Pepper

1-Clove of Garlic

1-Can Del Monte Diced Tomatoes with Garlic & Olive Oil

1-Jar Prego Roasted Garlic Parmesan Pasta Sauce

(These are my favorite flavors so that's why I put these specifically, I've tried a bunch of other variations, but this always tastes the best)

Thin Spaghetti

(I'm not gonna say how much because I don't know how many people your cooking for)

DIRECTIONS:

1. Get your water boiling for your spaghetti

2. Get your large pan ready on medium to high heat and add about a tablespoon of olive oil

3. Peel & Chop your carrots ( I like to make them round) and add to large pan/skillet (whatever you want to use)

4. Dice your onion, chop your garlic and add to pan

5. Cook on medium high heat and keep stirring for about 10-15 minutes, so that the onions get nice and see throughish :)

6. Add your basil, salt & pepper (to taste)

7. Add your ground beef to onions and carrots and keep stirring until meat is browned (usually about 5-10 minutes)

8. Add diced tomatoes and stir

9. Add pasta sauce (I always like to add some water in the jar once it's empty and shake it up to get the rest of the sauce out.... maybe about 1/2 cup)

10. Add some more olive oil..... maybe another 2 tablespoons ( I never measure)

11. Put the lid on your sauce and turn the heat down to simmer for about 20-30 minutes. I find that the longer it simmers, the better the flavor. I simmered this for about an hour and it was AMAZING!

12. Once your put your sauce on simmer, add your spaghetti to the water and boil until they are done :)

13. Drain pasta, put back into pot, add some more olive oil.

14. PLATE IT UP!!!!

I always like to make some garlic bread to go a long with this meal. I just get whatever looks yummy in the freezer aisle :)

DING!!!! Here is your finished meal :) This was Jay's. He adds parmesan cheese to his.

Here was mine ;)

This is always super yummy as leftovers too. The sauce just gets better with time ;)

And here is what Mr. Phoenix made while I was cooking :) Some oatmeal, trail mix bars, rice and a ball!

Looks tasty!! He's a little chef in the making :)

I hope you guys like this recipe. It's taken me a few years to make it just how I like it.

Of course I'm sure there are lots of different ways to make this and different spices and herbs to add but this is how we like it :)

OOTD: Floral Romantic Casual 2/21/12

Hi My Loves!

Don't you love my little love table??? With my little Love bag and Heart shaped string lights and whimsical pink sheer fabric it justs makes me feel so girly and happy! The pink roses were from my wedding, I saved one so that I could always have a piece of that special day with me :) Other than Jay :) HAHA!!

Jay took my pictures for me last night, this outfit was from yesterday. I had to wait till he got off work for him to take them, so that's why I couldn't post this yesterday :) We didn't get home till after 8pm since Jay locked his keys in the car when he was at Sam's Club getting diapers..... so me and my little Angel Face had to go rescue him :)

It's sooo much nicer having Jay take my pictures, rather than having to set the camera up on boxes and tri pods... and then setting the timer with the mirror behind the camera screen so I can see where I am. It was such a pain!! It took forever! It's much easier and less stressful with my lovely camera man :)

Quick & Easy Romantic Updo!

Hi My Loves!

So I did this updo sort of hair do the other day when we were in a rush to get out of the house and I really liked how it turned out. So I thought I would do it again and share it with you.

These pictures were taken after 8pm... we had a bit of a hectic evening lol. Jay went to Sam's Club to pick up diapers after work and locked his keys in his car, so while I was feeding Mr. Phoenix his dinner, I got a phone call from Jay :)

So we hopped in the Mommy van and saved Daddy!!! Thank God we have a spare key!! We ended up just having dinner at Sam's as by then it was too late to wait to cook dinner....

By the time we got home and Jay could take my pictures it had def been a long day! My hair doesn't look quite as delightful as it did when I first fixed it in the morning, but you guys get the idea.... Mr. Phoenix was having a great old time trying to pull all of the sparkly pins out, so it definitely got a bit messy and baby fingered out ;)

Also I was trying to do it quickly without looking at what I was doing in the mirror as I was showing it on video, so I think it would turn out a lot better if you could actually see what you were doing ;)

Hope you guys can look past the fact that it's a bit messy and worn, but I will say it lasted all day, evening and even through baby hands, so that is a good sign!!!

LOL I had to re stick those pins in so many times after Mr. P would pull them out :)

WHere the hair scrunchie shows I would put a flower or some small flowers to hide it but mine are still in a box ;)

You can tell how tired I was in this picture.....

My eyes are all blood shot and my lipstick has worn off. That's the glamorous life of a Mommy! By 7pm every night I'm exhausted and ready for bed.... by 9pm we finally do go to bed :) I love snuggling up in our warm blanket (Shabby Chic from Target) with my hunny bunny and winding down after a long day.

I've had so many people requesting for Wedding/Bridal makeup tutorials. I wasn't actually planning on filming a Bridal look today but then it just kind of started looking perfect for one, with what I was wearing ;) This is a more natural, romantic, soft bridal makeup look. Perfect for someone who doesn't normally wear a lot of makeup on a daily basis but wants to look elegant, put together and beautiful on their special day, without looking unlike themselves :)

Our Valentine's Day!

Hi My Loves!!

I hope you all had a lovely Valentine's Day, we had a really great one! Last Valentine's Day, Jay gave me the best gift of all and that was Mr. Phoenix :) We were in the hospital this time last year, exhausted but so happy with our new baby :) This Valentine's Day was so amazing having my 2 men and of course Moo to celebrate with!

I was given such a fabulous opportunity with The Candle Crate to create some very special candles just for my subscribers! I was so excited when she asked me because I have never done anything like this before, to be able to create something I love and have my name on it is soooo exciting! Onto my outfit..... my pooing old camera battery died, I totally am a camera battery charging slacker, so I had to take a cruddy picture with my phone. Sorry about that loves!

I can not get warm lately, our house is not cold so I think I'm just a freak of nature.... so I just wanted to be nice and cozy today and wear a hoodie. I don't really wear them very often, but sometimes it's just a hoodie day.... you know what I sayin?????

If you are wondering about my mirror.... I got the mirror for $5 at a garage sale, then painted it with a light pink spray paint, let that dry, then painted it over with Martha Stewarts Sparkle Pink Paint (Home Depot). I did about 2 or 3 coats. The Hello Kitty Bow in the middle was a hair Bow that I took the back off and hot glued it on and then I hot glued all the diamonte thingys on. I got a bog container of them at Hobby Lobby for like $8 :)

You can see Mooshie Woosh hiding behind my legs :) Oh and of course Hello Kitty is keeping warm with her ear muffs :)

Drugstore Valentine's Day Makeup & OOTD! 2/7/12

It's the week before Valentine's Day... so you know what that means???? VALENTINE'S DAY TUTORIALS!!!!

On another note...... I just discovered Pinterest this weekend.... I know you are probably thinking, where have you been freaknuts, it's been the bees knees for so long??? I heard about it from people every now and then on facebook but then this weekend, we were at Dad and Shelli's and she had these amazing pizza rolls. So I was asking her where she got the recipe.... she told me Pinterest. I asked what was the big deal about Pinterest??? Her and my Dad looked at me like I was a total weirdo! LOL

So moral of the story is.... my parents are hipper than me and know more about Pinterest than moi, so Jay and I opened one up yesterday, so that we don't feel so pathetic :) HAHA!!! I'm only just starting so I'm not quite super at it yet, but I'm getting the hang of it whenever I have a free minute :)

On to my makeup.........

Today I wanted to do a burgundy smoky eye using all drugstore products :) This is one of my favorite kinds of smoky eye because it makes my blue eyes look super duper blue, but of course any eye color will look amazing with this look :)

So if you are on a budget, don't fret! All of these products except my eyebrow pencil (only one I love) you can pick up at your local Walfart or drugstore for less than $10 on most things :)

As far as my outfit goes..... well it's snowing and dilly dang cold outside, plus I have to catch up on laundry and housework seeing as this weekend was a bit too busy and fun for that :) So...... it's just Mommy comfy's today with a bit of pink for some festiveness!

Hi My Loves!

Mr. Phoenix is teething, so he woke up a lot earlier than normal from his nap time, so I only got these 2 pictures today.... maybe once Mr. Phoenix takes his afternoon nap or something I can get more :) We shall see.... never a dull moment with a teething baby! Poor little feller! Jay was reading somewhere, that an adult couldn't handle the pain of teething :( Babies are tough!!!
