IMPORTANT MESSAGE

noreply@blogger.com (Samantha Towle) — Thu, 01 Aug 2013 08:27:00 +0000

I’ve wrote a few posts concerning this, but I’m obviously not reaching everyone as I’m still getting messages daily asking this question. So if as many of you could SHARE this post and tell your friends, I would appreciate it, as I don’t want people to get to release day and be disappointed.
Wethering the Storm will ONLY be available to purchase via Amazon. It will NOT be available to buy on any other sites. The reason being that my publisher is Montlake – a division of Amazon Publishing.

I know many of you purchased The Mighty Storm when it was self-pubbed via other outlets, and I did take this into consideration when Montlake approached me with their deal, but signing with a traditional publisher had always been a dream of mine and I had to go with my heart. Also, when making the decision to sign with Montlake, I factored in that many people nowadays have iPhones, iPads, etc. where the Kindle app can be downloaded, allowing them to; if they choose, to buy and read WTS. And it will be available in paperback.

I am truly sorry to those of you who don’t have a Kindle or access to a Kindle app. Trust me, you weren’t overlooked, I didn’t make this decision lightly.

Thanks for all the support you have given me – its means the absolute world. I wouldn’t be here, if it weren’t for you guys.

And lastly….. 19 days.
<3 <3

The countdown begins...

TROUBLE TEASER

noreply@blogger.com (Samantha Towle) — Tue, 16 Jul 2013 15:37:00 +0000

I'm having some real fun with Jordan today! So I thought I'd share a tidbit from TROUBLE, and the candy... well, just because...

Jordan ~

“Cool. We’ll watch a movie then.” I get to my feet. “I have a shitload of great movies in there – so you choose.” I point to the cabinet next to the TV, indicating their whereabouts. “I’m just gonna go change.”

I feel Mia’s eyes on me as I leave the room. The second I’m out of sight, I run downstairs to my room. Yes, I’m that lame.

I change into a tank and shorts, spray deodorant, put on some aftershave, and brush my teeth – you know just in case.

I’m an optimistic kind of guy. And that was optimistic, not opportunistic.

*Unedited, subject to change, etc.*

What Wethering is about...

noreply@blogger.com (Samantha Towle) — Wed, 12 Jun 2013 13:44:00 +0000

I think I might have put this post up before a while back... but I'll say it again, just to be sure, because I've seen quite a lot of mentions lately around what WETHERING THE STORM is about. And for some reason, some people are under the impression that WTS will be the retelling of The Mighty Storm, from Jake's POV.

It's not.

WTS is the sequel to TMS. Told predominantly told from Tru's POV, but there are chapters told from Jake's POV also.

Just thought I'd clear that up. Happy Hump Day! :)

TROUBLE TEASER....

noreply@blogger.com (Samantha Towle) — Sun, 09 Jun 2013 14:43:00 +0000

I thought it was about time I gave you a TEASER of TROUBLE, as I've been pretty quiet about it, since I started rewriting it! It's taken me an age to pick a scene, and this is the only one which doesn't give away any spoilers! This scene is from Jordan's POV, and Mia and Jordan are collecting his dog Dozer from the vets.

It's not smexy, but there is cussing, so I'm putting the "18+ WARNING" on just in case, and of course it’s unedited, subject to change, etc.

Jordan ~

I make my way back over to Mia, where Dozer is still making doe eyes at her.

Even my dog is crazy about her.

Not that I’m crazy about her. No fucking way. Absolutely not. Never. Ever.

“Ready?” I reach down for Dozer’s leash.

Turning his head, he knocks my hand away with that huge cone he’s wearing, and puts his leash in his mouth and holds it out for Mia to take.

Nice Dozer, blowing me off for a chick. I think he forgets who feeds him.

Not that I can blame him though. I’d do the same. I’d let her lead me around all day long if she asked – only if I got a pay day at the end of it of course.

Taking the leash from his mouth, she rubs his head.

She gazes up at me, a smile pushing the corner of her mouth. “Is it okay with you if I walk him out to your car?”

“Doesn’t look like you’ve got much of a choice.” I grin in the direction of Dozer’s wagging tail. “I think you’ve got an admirer.”

She giggles. It’s one of the sexist sounds I’ve ever heard.

“Well Dozer wouldn’t be a bad admirer to have, but I reckon I’m just a new face to get some attention from—not that I imagine you ever struggle for attention,” she says to Dozer. “Handsome boy that you are…aren’t you…yes, you are.” She smooshes his face in her hands, and I actually find myself jealous of my dog.

I’m jealous of my dog.

I really need to get laid.

“Let’s go.” I shove my hands in my pockets, and head for the door and out to my car.

I help Dozer in the back seat. Turning, I find Mia hovering behind me, as he settles himself.

“Should I sit in the back with him?” she asks, biting her lip.

Jesus, I want to bite that lip. Lick it. Suck it. Fuck it.

I see Dozer’s head lift, and ears prick up. “Nah, he’ll be fine. You’ll have more room up front here next to me.”

“Okay…if you’re sure.”

I see Dozer’s head drop on a grunt.

I hold back the smile I feel, as I watch Mia walk around the car and climb in. But as I’m getting in the car, I can’t resist giving Dozer a smug grin.

Honestly, the look he’s giving me right now – I reckon if he could flip me off, he would.

Yep, you lost that round, Dozer.

I turn the ignition, feeling pretty satisfied with myself that I’ve got Mia sitting up front with me…then it hits me.

I was just in a pissing contest with my dog.

There are no words.

No. Fucking. Words.

Release date to be announced.

Trouble....

noreply@blogger.com (Samantha Towle) — Wed, 15 May 2013 09:39:00 +0000

Some of you have been asking me about Trouble, if it will still be released in June... the short answer is no. To cut a long story short, I was struggling to write Trouble. It took a while to figure out why... resulting in a long chat with my Beta and an even longer conversation with my hubby... turns out I was writing the wrong story. I was writing the story I wanted Mia and Jordan to have, not the story they were trying to tell me. And trust me things run a lot smoother when I just go with their flow - especially Jordan’s ;)

So this means everything I have written so far is null and void. I'm starting again. Sounds bad. Not really, because I'm actually writing the story a lot faster now that I'm listening to them.

Date for release? Not sure. But I promise to keep you all posted.

Mucho love
Sam

Here it is, the WETHERING THE STORM Jake sized teaser as promised! Enjoy…

noreply@blogger.com (Samantha Towle) — Sun, 21 Apr 2013 19:19:00 +0000

I wind my fingers into his hair, bringing his mouth to mine. I hook my leg around his hip as his hand slides down my thigh, gripping my butt, and he kisses me like he’s starved for me, his tongue plunging into my mouth, deep and hard. His hands take mine, above my head, pinning them to the cushion.

I grind my pelvis into him, groaning in his mouth.

Then the doorbell rings.

“Motherfucker,” he growls heavily into my mouth. “Can’t a guy get a moment with his girl here?” He grumbles, getting up to answer the door.

I start to sit up to retrieve my clothes. “Don’t you dare move,” he commands. “I want to come back here and find you exactly as I left you.”

“And how’s that?” I ask, resting my arms on the back of the sofa and my chin on my arms, looking across at him. God, he looks so totally hot right now. Abs rippling down to his low-slung jeans. His hard-on so very visible through his jeans, like his cock is straining to get out of them and into me.

“Naked and waiting to be fucked.” He grins, walking backward.

“Sí, señor.” I salute.

He groans, grabbing his cock through his jeans, then turns and heads for the door.

I lie back down on the sofa so whoever’s at the door won’t see naked me sitting here.

I hear the door open, then Henry’s voice. The door closes, so I sit up just as Jake walks back into the living room with a bag containing our lunch in his hand.

“You want to eat now?” he asks, totally insincerely.

I shake my head. “I want you to get your hot ass over here and use that huge penis of yours on me.” I bite down on my grin.

Jake puts the bag of food down on the side table and advances toward me like a panther moving in on its prey.

“With absolute fuckin’ pleasure,” he says, vaulting over the back of the couch, landing on his feet between my legs, he gets down to his knees, and down to business instantly.

noreply@blogger.com (Samantha Towle) — Sun, 31 Mar 2013 18:55:00 +0000

Curving my fingertips around Jake’s ear, I tickle the sensitive skin behind it. The spot that drives him crazy when I kiss him there.

He catches my wrist, surprising me. “Don’t start something you can’t win,” he says with a sexy growl to his voice.

“Who says I can’t win?”

“Me.”

“That right?”

“Hmm.” He moves in closer, revealing his stunningly blue eyes. “You forget I know exactly where all of your sensitive spots are, Bennett.”

Heat floods me and I squirm. “I thought you were asleep.”

“I was until some little minx started tickling me.”

“Minx?” I let out a laugh.

“Yep, that’s you. A minx. Cunning and flirtatious.”

“Flirtatious?” I scoff.

“Yep, flirtatious and irresistible.”

“Meant for you,” I add.

“Fucking right, meant for me.”

His gaze pins me to the seat, possessing me, owning me.

Holding back a gulp, I say, “Well, python, we’re home.”

The promo text for WETHERING THE STORM has gone up on Amazon early - woohoo!!! Which means I can now share it with you all...

Music journalist Tru Bennett has done the impossible: capture the heart of rock-star bad boy Jake Wethers. Now they’re busy planning a wedding and navigating their new life together in the US. Of course Tru misses London and her best friend, Simone, but living happily ever after with Jake in LA is going to be great…right?

Wrong. Even the bright California sun can’t whitewash the dark side of celebrity coupledom. Greedy music execs, merciless paparazzi, and Jake’s wild past are lurking around every corner. Making matters worse, Jake announces he doesn’t want kids, which just may be a deal breaker.

Tru loves Jake more than anything. But when a devastating crisis threatens to destroy everything they’ve fought for, the couple must face the hard truth: What if, this time, love is not enough?

TMS, WTS... and confusion!

noreply@blogger.com (Samantha Towle) — Thu, 21 Mar 2013 14:01:00 +0000

It seems I may have confused some of you with my post regarding WETHERING THE STORM and Barnes & Noble yesterday from the messages I’ve been receiving, so let me try again…

Because I signed a publishing deal with Montlake (Amazon) for THE MIGHTY STORM and WETHERING THE STORM those books will ONLY be available to buy through Amazon as of the 20^th August 2013. Until that date, THE MIGHTY STORM will still be available to buy on all other sites, but it will be taken down on the 19^th August and will then only be available on Amazon. This applies to ebook and paperback. WETHERING THE STORM is currently available for pre-order with Amazon.

As for my other books, THE BRINGER, FIRST BITTEN AND ORIGINAL SIN, they will remain as they are, available on ALL sites as they are self-published/indie publisher.

As for the THIRD STORM BOOK, Tom’s story (yet to be titled). I haven’t signed a deal for it at this time, BUT Montlake have requested to see it when finished, so if I do sign for Tom’s book with Montlake, the same will stand for that and it will only be available through Amazon. If not, it will be self-published and available through ALL sellers.

As for future books, i.e. TROUBLE ...as it stands at the moment, I’m self-publishing Trouble and it will be available through ALL sellers.

I hope I’ve managed to cover everything here. And sorry if I confused you yesterday!

An update...

noreply@blogger.com (Samantha Towle) — Fri, 15 Mar 2013 10:35:00 +0000

On my last update, I said that I was aiming to have BLOOD LIES released in the summer and for TROUBLE to follow … but unfortunately it’s not going to plan L I’ve sat down many times to write BLOOD LIES, but Alex just doesn’t seem to want to tell her story at the moment. Frustrating, I know. But I’m not going to force the story out. If I do it’ll end up being sub-par and I don’t want to do that to you the readers or the characters. You guys deserve the best story I can write, so for now I’m putting BLOOD LIES on hold for a little while. I hope you’ll all understand this. I apologise profusely, but when the story’s not coming, it’s not coming. I’m telling you all this now as I want to be straight and upfront. And PLEASE know that I appreciate your patience and loyalty to the AJ series and me. I <3 you all!

On a good note, one of my characters is talking to me (I know I sound a little crazy when I say this!) Mia’s voice is loud and clear and she has a lot to say, so I’m steaming ahead with TROUBLE, which will mean that this will be released in this summer, if not a little earlier … but I’m not setting any dates yet!

So with that said, keep an eye out for TROUBLE teasers … and I have a little something coming for you all in the next few days ;)

WTS is still on schedule for August 20^th, and after that I will begin writing Tom and Lyla’s story – I cannot freaking wait to get stuck into Tom!

Thanks for all your support!

Much love

Sam

WETHERING THE STORM Teaser #7

noreply@blogger.com (Samantha Towle) — Sat, 09 Mar 2013 14:32:00 +0000

Lifting his head, staring up at me in the darkness, Jake grips my waist.

Without a word, he stands and picks me up, sitting me on the piano. The keys tinkle as I rest my feet on them.

Leaning into me, he buries his face in my neck. “I don’t want to talk.” He surprises me by taking a shaky breath. “I just need to be inside you, Tru. Deep inside you.”

*As always, may be changed, deleted, etc.*
