it's gonna be 'Pinterest' tomorrow

I got to know about pinterest a week ago. it's pretty cool. It's more like our pinboard on our work desk. You can pin whatever you like and your friends can see it (We live for that only) . the good things is even if you share a link it grabs n image from the link on it pins on our page so that it will always be appealing for the visitors.

It's nothing complicated like Facebook all we do here is sharing the things we like most on the web. It's in beta stage and it requires an invitation. You can request it in website or else tell me I'll invite you.

Smart phones are coming with quite a big screen than other phones and a wallpaper on the screen always plays a major role as it gives a great statement of our phones resolution and mesmerizing display.

What if the wallpaper is not so static and it changes every minute or at a predefined time so that it gives a better feel. The android app 'Wallpaper changer' will allow us to do that which is quite cool. Though it wont work at sometimes but still the best I can find in the android market.

Slacker radio app (Android/iOS)

Listening to songs is probably the only alternative for many people who don't know what to do apart from that. Even creating a playlist is sometimes a tough task. So those people always turn out to radios, where they don't have to care changing the songs,let listen what the radio plays. Lets see about one of the smartphone apps which I'm using and be good.

Slacker Radio :

The slacker radio which is available in US and Canada can allow us to listen to different genre of English music for free. There are limitations for free version yet it doesn't matter. In free version ,the skip song is limited to six.

The app which is available for both android and iOS. I've tried the android app and it's really cool.

Crystal Bridges Museum - Photos

Bentonville is a small county in Arkansas,united states. The recently opened crystal bridges museum is found to be a major attraction. It's pretty nice place and worth a visit. Old and contemporary arts on display and it makes a quite a different experience.

Turn of auto indentation in VI editor (UNIX)

There were times when we copy a piece of code from notepad into VI editor (UNIX) and it would have done auto alignment and the entire program gone mess.

This is because the vi editor will turn the auto align by default. To turn off use the following set command

set -noai

to turn it back

The devastating effect of atomic power had been understood on this day.

Even then, the world doesn’t seem to have put an end to the use of atomic energy.

The recent visit of Hilary Clinton to India shows the US attitude towards the use of atomic energy. The Indian government has signed a MOU for starting 7 new atomic stations in India.

In Andhra Pradesh, a place called Thumarpalli has been declared as the place which got rich source of uranium in the world. Japan had accepted the fact that their atomic stations are not safe after the recent tsunami which stuck at the Japan’s coast.

But the Indian government is still not accepting the fact that Indian atomic stations are not safer.

People who work in Kalpakkam atomic station, Chennai have more chance of having cancer. But without proper detecting techniques and continuous monitoring of the people, the government has declared that the people are safe in kalpakkam atomic station.

Few people who worked in kalpakkan had cancer. Some of them had been cured and some died, but that has not been recorded in the ‘Significant event Report’.

The sea’s temperature should between 28 and 29 degree Celsius. If it exceeds 33 centigrade then it affects the ecology. Sea water has been used as coolant in atomic power stations. The temperature difference between the inlet and outlet of the cooling system should not exceed five degree Celsius. But in kalpakkam it’s around 8.4 which is a disturbing factor which can increase the sea temperature.

Will the government will lend ear to all this factors and stop supporting the proliferation of atomic energy?

Attaching files in mail (Unix - mailx)

The following command can be used to attach files in the mail while sending it using 'mailx' command in UNIX OS.

uuencode sourcefilename destfilename | mailx -m -s "My attachment" mailid@server.com

uuencode command will convert the file into ASCII data. The 'sourcefilename' is the name of the file to be attached in th email. If the file name has to be different than the source file name then 'destfilename' can be specified as new file name.

A prologue in a movie. How far it's important? it sets the pace of the movie.

The prologue Sometimes it's about the character and sometimes it's about the incident that happened before which lead to the current story.

There are times where the prologue is about the moral or theme of the story and one such prologue that caught my attention is from the movie 'Match Point'

It's about luck. The story depicts how luck plays a greater part of our life.

Sharing the one thing that every bachelor who shares their room will never deny. There would be only one responsible guy (Poor guy :( ) who will be paying the money for all the expenses that needs to be shared with all his roommates. 5 Fantastic Tamil movie posters

I'm trying my best. It's a kollywood version of it.

Movie posters is one of the things which we will always turn our head to have a look at it. Always Irresistible.

Kollywood has started giving preference to the movie posters in the past few years.The first impression is from the movie poster.

There are many posters which took me by storm but I couldn't remember everything. But I recollected some and took 5 posters that I like most.

Vandhan Vendran :

First thing ,the poster is copied from the bollywood (I hate love stories). But always inspiration gives us better output. This poster looks better than the original one from Bollywood. It explains us the girl keeps on talking and the guy is not able to listen to it. The small poem on the poster which give us the better explanation of the situation.

Even water can be portrayed as a demon. See how the water is portrayed as ferocious demon in the poster.

No photos of artists are required as the WATER is the main character of t he movie.

Book IRCTC tickets from mobile

Booking train tickets from mobile phone has been made possible by ngpay.

It's possible to book e-tickets for IRCTC using ngpay. you can book train tickets using the following steps

1) Launch ngpay application in your mobile

2) select 'My Services -> Explore All -> Travel n Stay -> IRCTC '

3) Once you do this the 'IRCTC' service will be added to the 'My Services'

4) Now you can select the IRCTC using 'My Services -> IRCTC'

5) Select 'Reservation' and then you can proceed with the ticket booking.

The ticket will be emalied to the registered mail id with ngpay. Even TATKAL tickets can be booked.

Songs the one companion which never let me down and helped me to get through my mood swings.

Some time I'll feel low and sometimes high , every time a song will be playing in my mind which suits my mood.

The one song which I listen whenever I fell in my life is 'Tubthumping - I get knocked down ' by chumbawamba.

ORA 12154 error in windows 7

I've installed oracle server in my windows 7. The installation was successful and able to connect to server using PL sql developer client. I was getting the error 'ORA 12154 TNS could not resolve the connect identifier specified'

The TNS entries are perfect and oracle home is set properly, but I couldn't login. I've googled it and couldn’t find a solution. Finally I found the solution in the forums of 'Allround automations' and it has worked for me. Thanks a lot to them.

There are two program files folder in windows 7. one is 'Program files' and other one is 'Program Files(x86)'.

While installing oracle I've selected 'Program Files(x86)' as destination. That' the reason for the error.

I've moved the ‘PLSQL Developer’ folder to the 'Program Files' folder and it has worked for me.
