मैंने शिप्रा के तट को देखा है , साफ़ और पानी से भरा हुआ , राम घाट हो या विक्रांत भैरव या मंगलनाथ! पता नहीं इस नगरी के आध्यात्म का भौतिक दोहन करते हुए इसकी आत्मा -शिप्रा- को लोगों ने क्यूँ मिटा दिया.

भारत के वर्ल्ड कप जीतने के बाद टावर चौराहे और फ्रीगंज में जमा हुए उन हज़ारों युवाओं में से यदि १०% भी शिप्रा के साथ सहानुभूति जताएं तो ये नदी पुन: जीवित हो उठेगी , गंभीर के जमा पानी से नहीं स्वयं के शुद्ध, निर्मल और पावन बहते हुए जल से !

जो नदी खुद मर रही हो वो कैसे जीवन दान दे पायेगी , जो रोजाना मैली हो रही है कैसी पापों को धो पायेगी .....
जो बातें ऊपर लिखी हैं बिलकुल भी नई नहीं हैं पर कोई भी उसे समझना ही नहीं चाहता ....

कोई व्यक्तिगत या सामूहिक पहल ही नहीं कर रहा , क्या इतने मृत है लोग महाकाल की नगरी में ....

शहजाद की जिंदगी

ज़िन्दगी समझो तो एक पहेली है, आसन भी है और सुलझी भी ,

पर जैसे मंजे की डोर सीधी तो है पर यदि खींचो तो उलझती ही जाती है ,

सुलझाने जाओ तो पतंग नीचे और गठानो का गुच्छा हाथ में बस !

मालूम है कैसे संभालना है पर , क्या कोई है जिसकी डोर आज तलक नहीं उलझी है !

किसी की कम किसीकी ज्यादा , किसी ने तो मंजा ही तोड़ दिया , और खेल-ए- ज़िन्दगी से इसे रुखसत हुए की लौटे ही नहीं.

किसी ने मंजा नहीं तोडा पर डोर नहीं सुलझा पाए और ज़िन्दगी में बेकार कहलाये ....

बाकियौं ने डोर भी संभाली, मंजा भी और पतंग भी , पेंच भी काटे.

हम तो दूसरों का मजा सुलझाते रहे , हमारा उल्जहता रहा , तोड़ भी न पाए , रो भी न पाए,

क्या है यार ! कुछ समझाता ही नहीं , दिमाग में क्यों इतनी गर्मी है की कुछ भी ठहरता नहीं ,

पर ठीक ही है ,जो है सो है , जो मन में वो जुबान पर और वो ही आँखों और चेहरे पर.

बड़े ही बे-मुरव्वत , बे अदब , बे परवाह और बेकार साबित हुए , न मांजे के, न पतंग के और न ही खेल के वाकिफ हुए , लगता है मियां हम तो बस ऐसे ही पैदा हुए, थोडा सा जिया और बाकि उम्र मर गए .

3TB Small HDD with great Performance!

Media centric HTPC applications and portable storage devices call for hard drives to eschew raw performance for power efficiency, noiseless operation and storage size. Western Digital has released two new drives catering to this segment in the form of 2.5TB and 3TB Caviar Green drives.

Latest arriaval by WD:
Running at 5400 RPM, these drives claim to consume less power and are best suited for secondary storage solutions to complement faster, more power hungry drives housing the operating system. WD has achieved 3TB footprint with four platters of 750GB areal density each. The drives also incorporate Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI)-compliant Host Bus Adapter (HBA), enabling performance optimisations like Native Command Queuing and increasing OS compatibility for the same.
The drives, using Sata 3Gb/s interface, are expected to be available by the year-end in India along with a three-year limited warranty. The prices are expected to be Rs. 8,300 for the 2.5TB hard drive and Rs. 10,700 for the 3TB one.

WD has got a good value for money product range a good warranty support.

Windows Phone 7 : A New Click by Microsoft for Mobiles

As per Dan Costa, Windows Phone 7 made an auspicious debut this week in New York. Microsoft showed off handsets from Samsung, HTC, LG, and even Dell. The platform looks good, with an interface designed from the group up for mobile use. There is no Windows Mobile-like start menu on these phones, just big virtual buttons that you tap with your fingers. It looks like a platform that could go head to head with the Apple iPhone, BlackBerry, or Android. I just have one question: Where are the apps?
It is harder than you think to count how many apps are available for each mobile platform. It seems safe to say the iPhone has about 250,000, Android about 90,000, and they are both adding apps every day. The Palm Pre's WebOS, by comparison, just passed 5,000 apps. A fact that might very well drive me into the Android universe. The Windows Phone 7 devices haven't shipped yet, but a visit to its Web site is not encouraging.

I could only find seven applications listed on the site Twitter, eBay, IMDb, and four games. The integration with Xbox live is a key selling point and there is no reason why Microsoft shouldn't be positioning Windows Phone 7 as a gaming platform, Apple has sure done that with the iPhone and iPod touch. But where are the productivity apps? Where is Netflix? Surely Slacker and Pandora will be coming on board—they port to everything. In fact, the Windows Phone 7 App catalog has generated the most buzz because of what it is lacking; Angry Birds developers got their feathers ruffled when Microsoft mistakenly used their logo in on its site. Is this it?

Part of this app shortage may be by design. Windows Phone 7 has remarkably rich native functionality. The Zune-based music player looks more polished than the native players on Android or the BlackBerry. Likewise, the Office integration of contacts and email is very slick. Out of the box, Windows Phone 7 is a robust mobile computing experience. So much so, Microsoft might be tempted to think it doesn't need third party developers. That would be a huge mistake.

For better or worse, mobile platforms are now judged by their app catalog. People don't look at their phones as isolated devices anymore, they look at them like mobile computers. No one would want to buy a computer if it only ran pre-installed software. (Unless it is a Mac, curiously people seem to do just fine with those.) Microsoft has traditionally been very good at cultivating developer relationships, those are what relationships kept Windows Mobile running on fumes until Phone 7 could be finished. Microsoft needs those developer back.

There is reason to be optimistic. Developing for the WP7 should be easier than, say, developing for the Blackberry. Apps can be created using Silverlight, XNA Game Studio, and a mobile version of Visual Studio. But Microsoft needs some big names to sign on and not just game developers. Otherwise, it will wind up with a beautiful, well-regarded mobile operating system that no one uses.

And if Microsoft wanted that, they could have just bought Palm.

Dell has unveiled two new products that will join the Inspiron family - Inspiron One and Inspiron Zino HD. Before you misunderstand, the Inspiron Zino HD is the same Mac Mini like desktop PC but with an Inspiron branding. On the other hand, Inspiron One is the first all-in-one PC to join the Inspiron lineup. Dell has added a special user interface dubbed Dell Stage touchscreen UI for the Inspiron One. Both these Inspiron devices are now available in North America.

The arrival of Dell Inspiron One reminds us that all-in-one PCs are not dead just yet. This all-in-one PC has full HD supporting 23-inch LED-Backlit LCD display that also works as a touchscreen. Inspiron One is a sleek desktop that can be placed in your living room as a multimedia entertainment powerhouse. The widescreen color display of Inspiron One supports 1080p full HD videos and also comes with an option to choose a quad-core processor. The Inspiron One offers HDMI port that can be used to connect it to a larger HD TV for family viewing. Inside the sleek body, Inspiron One packs Wi-Fi, Webcam, and optical DVD drive that can be upgraded to Blu-ray Combo drive.

For adding more fun and increasing productivity with the 23-inch touchscreen bearing Inspiron One, Dell has added a new special Stage user interface. Dell Stage is a user interface that packs in easy-to-use applications like Touch Instruments, You Paint, Sticky Notes and Touch Cam. This Stage UI can be used to organize and view the photos, music and videos existing on the system hard drive or downloaded. However, certain applications that connect users to various video streaming services like Netflix, Blockbuster and others won't be available outside U.S.

Even social networking capabilities have been added to a few of these applications to share content online over social networking websites. In terms of internal hardware, Inspiron One packs AMD Athlon II X4 processor with 45W TDP rating, up to 8GB DDR3 1333MHz memory, up to 1TB SATA HDD storage, and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 540 graphics card with 1GB dedicated GDDR3 video memory.

Select retailers in U.S. would be selling the Inspiron One at a price starting at $800 (Rs. 36,500 approx.).

The new Inspiron Zino HD is a revised Zino The Inspiron Zino HD will feature new quad-core AMD Phenom II X4 P920 processor along with up to 8GB DDR3 memory. Touted to be mini powerhouse entertainment PC, this Inspiron Zino HD can be hooked to large screen HD TVs. Dell has packed Wi-Fi with 802.11n support, 2.1HD audio of up to 7.1THX suitable for real life-like movie experiences, multimedia card reader, four USB 2.0 ports, two eSATA ports, VGA port, HDMI port and LAN port.

Dell offers wireless keyboard and Infrared Remote Control to enjoy TV or web surfing from anywhere in the living room. If you don't like the standard black lid of Inspiron Zino HD, you can choose one from other three colors. Inspiron Zino HD is available at a price starting at $300 (Rs. 13,700 approx.).

Today’s economy is driven by what might be called 'the creative industry'. Creative Industries are growing at an average of 10% per annum with a global turnover of $2240 billion. Workforce in creative industries is growing at the rate of 5% per annum as compared to 1.5% for whole economy. As per the statistics of Government of India, more than 10,000 designers are required by the industry every year. Today only about 800 students are graduating as designers. This big gap creates unprecedented opportunity for students studying design.

Animation industry in India is estimated to be at USD460 million in 2008. New Media comprises

Internet and Mobile and continues to be the fastest growing medium in the country. In 2008 this medium grew by 74% to Rs.680 cr. and is estimated to grow at a CAGR of 27%. It is forecasted that global animation market will generate revenues worth US$ 50-70 billion annually.

The Indian Real Estate Industry in December 2008 was estimated to be US$ 48 billion with a CAGR of 30%. Growing population, rising income levels, urbanization and the rapid growth of the IT sector are the key drivers for the Indian real estate sector, which consequently translates as opportunity for interior designers. Architectural Outsourcing Service in India has the potential to grow to $12 billion.

The Indian Graphic & Communication Design Industry is on the rise. There is an increasing need for graphic communication in the modern day commercial activities. With the growth in services like Printing, Packaging, Advertising, Publishing and Film, etc, the Graphic & Communication Design Industry is expected to grow at a fast pace. Advertising as a sector is growing at 12% and print media growth is happening at healthy rate of 6.9% CAGR.

The current size of Indian Fashion Industry stands at around Rs. 290 crore and is expected to grow more than double, and reach Rs. 750 crore by 2012. The Industry is expected to create additional employment opportunities for over 50,000 skilled professionals like fashion designer, merchandisers etc. by 2012.

King of the Bahai Festival : Ridvan

Ridvan Festival (Pronounced as “Rezwan”)

Introduction

The Festival of Ridvan is considered the greatest festival in Bahá'í Faith. It is a 12-day long festival and starts from April 21 and culminates at sunset May 2. The first, ninth and twelfth days are consecrated for special worship and service.

Ridvan marks the public declaration of Bahá'u'lláh to his claim as the great messenger of God, “The Promised One of All Religions,”, that the Báb had predicted in 1844.

Origin

Bahá'í believe that while Bahá'u'lláh was in imprisonment in 1853, God revealed to him that he was to be that Promised One. However, Bahá'u'lláh kept the revelation a secret for ten years after his release. But, inspite of his silence he became extremely influential with the people. This prompted authorities in Baghdad to send him and his followers to Constantinople.

He is the return of Lord Krishna, Zarathustra, Moses, Jesus Christ and Muhammad.
Before his departure, in 1863, Bahá'u'lláh went to a garden, now famous as ‘Garden of Ridvan’. Ridvan means paradise, good pleasure and splendor. Bahá'u'lláh spent 12 days in the garden where people from all walks of life came to pay their respect. At one point in this period, Bahá'u'lláh declared to some of the people gathered that he was the Promised One.
Celebrations
Bahá'í have no rituals, so there aren't many traditions, but most Bahá'í bodies do hold elections for their governing bodies on the first day of Ridvan.

People also observe meeting and prayers on Bahá’í Ridvan. Feasting, dining and merry making are also the essential part of the festivities. Some also give gifts to friends and relatives and alms to the poor and the needy.

You may one day in the not-extremely-distant future control your computer and other devices just by thinking.

At Intel's Tech Heaven event in Manhattan on Wednesday, the company demonstrated software under development that can tell--under very controlled circumstances--what a person is thinking by reading brain waves. The chipmaker has been working with Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh to develop software and an interface to convert brain waves scanned from MRIs into something recognizable by computers.

Though still in the early research stages, the technology looks promising to researchers. In a preliminary test conducted by Intel Labs senior researcher Dean Pomerleau, the system scanned a person's brain to record its activity while showing the person certain words, specifically concrete objects like "barn" and "house" and "screwdriver."

The scans revealed that some words produced a very similar pattern of brain activity, while other words generated quite different levels of activity. The software uses those similar and dissimilar patterns to decipher what the brain is thinking.

After the computer analyzed the brain patterns produced by different words, the testers asked the subject to think about one of two new words. The challenge for the computer was then to determine which word the person was thinking based on the previous brain scan. In the test, the computer scored 10 out of 10 for a perfect grade.

Intel mind-reading software.

The MRI and scanning equipment used in the initial research is as large as a traditional MRI machine. But researchers around the world are striving to miniaturize the technology, and Pomerleau is hopeful the equipment could one day be small enough to be built into a hat.

If and when the system becomes more consumer friendly, Pomerleau believes that people could use it to command computers or robots through one's thoughts.

Designed to showcase products currently under development, the Tech Heaven event also pulled the curtain on a number of other potential new technologies from Intel.

Intel's Light Peak is a thin, flexible, optical fiber cable--about the width of a human hair--that could potentially transfer data at up to 10 billion bits per second. As an example, Light Peak could download the entire contents of the Library of Congress--10 terabytes of data--in just 17 minutes.

Intel's Understand Me project could turn your smartphone into a true personal assistant and even a mobile life coach. By detecting and analyzing your location, your social interactions, and other aspects of your day-to-day life, your phone could offer recommendations to help you improve certain behaviors and patterns.

Finally, Intel's Dispute Finder can monitor the pages you read on the Internet and alert you to any content that may be dubious or disputed by another source, helping you better determine which information you can trust and which you can't.

Airtel Launched Amazing iphone 3GS

Airtel has been confirmed to bring the iPhone 3GS to India. Vodafone is expected to launch the same shortly, but come Friday, March 26, Airtel will be the sole carrier.

The price of the iPhone 3GS has gone sky-rocketing. The 16GB model retails at Rs. 35,500, while the 32GB model costs Rs. 41,500. In Maharashtra, these handsets would also be levied with additional VAT, bring the prices closer to Rs. 40,000 for the 16GB and Rs. 46,000 for the 32GB.
As of now, there are no exchange offers for current iPhone 3G users, nor are there any new specialised tariff plans. It looks like those hoping that Airtel would start a flat unlimited-bandwidth scheme are in for a disappointment.
But anyway, the latest and greatest from Apple has finally hit the Indian shores and here’s what is new in the
Airtel iPhone 3GS:

Apple iPad - Reasons to buy

Its more then a e-book reader and more then an iPhone ...lets have some good and basic know how and difference
Reasons to Buy:
1. Undeniably cool. The iPad looks like a giant iPod and the look supersizes quite nicely.
2. The best e-reader? The iPad is already generating comments that it will be a Kindle-beater and Nook-destroyer. The 16 GB $499 model may not be good for carrying around lots of movies and music, but it should hold a lot of books. I want to hear more about the hands-on reading experience, but early word is the iPad is an excellent place to enjoy a good book. Or a textbook, which is a huge potential market for the device.
3. Gaming. The iPhone became a surprise hit among gamers, or at least expanded the market to include lots of previous non-gamers (such as myself). Either way, the iPad is optimized to improve the iPhone gaming experience, allowing new elements to be added to games that can be played on both the iPhone/iPod touch and the new iPad.
4. The iPad makes it easy to share media. Not for a whole room, but you and a friend or two should be able to watch movies, listen to music, or pass the iPad back-and-forth for games. It's just the right size for sharing up-close and the lack of a keyboard makes the iPad easier to handle than a notebook.
5. Applications. With all the above going for it, the iPad almost doesn't have to do things like Web surfing and e-mail checking or document writing. But, it does them all and runs 140,000 iPhone apps besides. Sure, the best apps will be specially-written for the iPad, but you can use iPhone/iPod touch favorites right away.
6. Time may be on your side. The iPad may become much more compelling--thanks to new apps--between now and its March/April ship dates.
Reasons to Hold Off:
1. There is no subsidy on the 3G version. Apple wants you to pay $829 for the 64GB device, plus monthly wireless fees for AT&T's 3G. The first year total: $1,189.
2. The wrong screen. It's not clear why Apple didn't choose a 16:9 aspect ratio, the standard for widescreen entertainment, but not doing so makes the iPad much less interesting for watching movies.
3. It's not much of a work machine. New applications may hammer away at the iPad's limitations, but the truth is that a notebook or netbook or even (in many circumstances) an iPhone is much more useful. Maybe it isn't even fair to ask a device so well-tuned for entertainment to work at the office too, but Apple is promoting the iPad as a work tool. And right now, I have to respond, "No" in most circumstances.
4. If you don't need all the other features, a Kindle or Nook offer better battery life for e-reading, but lack the color screen.
5. The iPad is a "tweener," in the bad sense of the word. Not a computer, but not a smartphone, the iPad lacks the functionality of a notebook and the convenience of an iPhone or Droid. The iPad may be just one more thing to haul around if you already carry a notebook, which it doesn't come close to replacing.
6. By the time the iPad ships, the excitement may be over. Perhaps helping lots of people save money.
There are many more reasons, both pro and con, regarding an iPad purchase but the best one may be the simplest: You've either got to have one (and have the spare cash) or the iPad doesn't do much for you.
Since it won't be available until March or April (for the 3G models), you have lots of time to change your mind. And for the initial excitement to wear off.

Swine flu in India is spreading like wildfire, taking the toll to six. Officials say there are currently more than 800 cases of the H1N1 flu strain in India. Governments from all around the world are finding ways to combat this deadly disease. So what can you do to protect yourself? Stay calm and practice these 10 effective prevention tips.

1. Wash your hands frequently

Use the antibacterial soaps to cleanse your hands. Wash them often, at least 15 seconds and rinse with running water.

2. Get enough sleep

Try to get 8 hours of good sleep every night to keep your immune system in top flu-fighting shape.

3. Keep hydrated

Drink 8 to10 glasses of water each day to flush toxins from your system and maintain good moisture and mucous production in your sinuses.

4. Boost your immune system

Keeping your body strong, nourished, and ready to fight infection is important in flu prevention. So stick with whole grains, colorful vegetables, and vitamin-rich fruits.

5. Keep informed

The government is taking necessary steps to prevent the pandemic and periodically release guidelines to keep the pandemic away. Please make sure to keep up to date on the information and act in a calm manner.

6. Avoid alcohol

Apart from being a mood depressant, alcohol is an immune suppressant that can actually decrease your resistance to viral infections like swine flu. So stay away from alcoholic drinks so that your immune system may be strong.

7. Be physically active

Moderate exercise can support the immune system by increasing circulation and oxygenating the body. For example brisk walking for 30-40 minutes 3-4 times a week will significantly perk up your immunity.

8. Keep away from sick people

Flu virus spreads when particles dispersed into the air through a cough or sneeze reach someone elseâ€™s nose. So if you have to be around someone who is sick, try to stay a few feet away from them and especially, avoid physical contact.

9. Know when to get help

Consult your doctor if you have a cough and fever and follow their instructions, including taking medicine as prescribed.

10. Avoid crowded areas

Try to avoid unnecessary trips outside. Moreover, avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread this way.

Login to http://m.google.com trough your mobile phone browser and download Google maps and install in your phone.
Download Google Maps for mobile to your phone, and never carry a paper map again.

Li-On Battery Do's and Don'ts

Here is a quick list of Do's and Don'ts for the care of your Li-On batteries.
Do's

•When you receive a new NoteBook or Tablet PC, leave the battery to fully charge overnight.
•Condition a new battery by using it until it is fully discharged, and then re-charge it fully. Doing this once a month will help to accurately calibrate your battery.
•Always ensure the battery is recharged as soon as possible after it becomes fully discharged. A battery will be permanently damaged if left for an extended length of time in a fully discharged state.
•Remember that a Lithium-Ion battery will slowly deteriorate; a new battery will always perform better than one that is 6-months old.
•Remember that the battery half-life is rated for a certain total number of charge/discharge cycles (see your User Manual or Quick Start Guide for the rating). For example, a battery that is rated for 3 hours and 500 charge/discharge cycles, will still be considered as within specification, even if it only lasts for 1 hour 45 minutes after 500 charge/discharge cycles.
•Heat is the worst enemy of a battery. Allow plenty of air to circulate around the Notebook/Tablet PC, so that the battery is kept as cool as possible when charging and also when in use. If provided, use the integrated 'legs' under the Notebook to raise the notebook and improve air circulation.
•Remove the battery if storing for several months (the battery should be at approximately 50% charge or higher).
•If you use a NoteBus or if charging your Notebooks or Tablet PCs in a confined space, allow for adequate ventilation in order to keep the batteries as cool as possible.
Don'ts

•Do Not - Expose the battery to excessive heat or cold (i.e. outside the range of 10-35 degrees Centigrade ambient).
•Do Not - Store the battery in a fully charged state (store batteries with about 50% charge).
•Do Not - Allow a nearly flat battery to be unused for more than a month or so. The battery will slowly discharge until it becomes fully discharged and this will permanently damage the battery cells.
•Do Not - Charge your Notebook/Tablet PC inside a carry case - the battery may overheat.
•Do Not - Charge your Notebook/Tablet PC when stacked on top of each other - the battery may overheat.

Remember: Your battery is slowly degrading all the time, even if it is not used. Keeping your battery as cool as possible will slow down this degradation considerably.
