The keish was very good, and so where the green beans, but the salad was a bit sub-standard because my dad tried to get creative by adding mint and radish greens, and I'm a salad purist, so that didn't go over very well with me. We had two types of cheeses. The first was a Taleggio made in the Tallegio valley in Lombardy. I actually only had one piece of it, so my insight would not be that accurate. The seond type of cheese was a Roomano, made in Friesland in the Netherlands. It tasted like Parmigiano, but sweeter, and 100 times better. The dinner got a 8.3/10 rating.

My dad spent a long time making this dish, and his effort will boost up the rating, The paella was excellent, and actually, for dinner tonight we had leftovers, and it was even better. We also had bread, olives, and cheese, and for dessert we had a British flaming putting (I don't remember the real name of it.) The thing with the pudding is that it is really cool when the liquor is poured on top and it begins flaming, but I am not that crazy about the taste. The dinner got a 9.2/10 rating.

Now, this may sound weird, but my least favorite part of Thanksgiving has always been the turkey. Now I am not saying that it is bad, but I am not big bird eater (I go for pork, beef, and fish). Nevertheless, the turkey was very good. Brussel sprouts transform from a mediocre dish, into one of my favorite foods in the world if bacon is addes in to them, and that is how they where prepared tonight, and of course, they where superb. The mashed potatoes where nothing special, just mashed potatoes. The stuffing was great, not a good as the brussel sprouts, but still very good. I did not eat any sweet potatoes because the table where my mom put the food was very dark, and only light by a candel, so i did not see them. The gravy made the meal from a very good dinner, into a excellent dinner. For dessert we had pumpkin pie, apple pie, and cranberry cake, all of which would have been very good if I had not been so full when I ate them. The dinner got a 8.99/10 rating, missing the "A" range by just a hair.

This Christmas season, I've decided to rate every type of egg nog we drink. The type my mom bought (although she hates egg nog) was from Trader Joe's, and let me tell you, it was horrible. Tonight, this debate was brought up during dinner at a friends house. Here is what the debate is all about. I'm a purist when it comes to ketchup, and I feel that the only type of ketchup to even consider purchasing is Heinz. My mom on the other hand has a different opinion on this, and feels that buying organic ketchup is the right thing to do, and they taste the same. The tasting the same thing is what really gets me irritated because it is not true. The organic ketchup taste like canned tomatoes drizzled with vinegar, while the Heinz tastes like a true ketchup. Also is the texture. Most organic ketchup's are far to thick and creamy, while the Heinz has a smooth and saucy feel to it. I am going to post a poll, and please vote on your opinion.

The burgers where very good, but my main complain is that right now my burps taste like a burger. The fries where from McDonald's, yes you heard right, McDonald's, but nevertheless the where good. I am not usually a big fan of chicken, but tonight the chicken was very good, and I was about to call it perfect until I took a bit a got a chewy sinew. The green beans where a major disappointment, and the reason for this was that my Mum put anchovies in them, and as a result, they where left a fishy taste. The potatoes where very good, and tasted like French fries topped in garlic. The dinner got a 8.5/10.
