Steps to Install:
1. Switch off your Galaxy Y & Boot into recovery mode! (Holding Volume UP+Power+Home button simultaneosly)
2. Click install zip from SD card & boot into CWM!
3. Now move to Wipe data/Factory Reset & Choose yes!
4. Now move to mounts & Storage and mount /system, /data, /sdcard, /cache!
5. Go back and select install zip from SD Card and browse through your files & Choose Lenox Evolution zip file! Choose yes!
6. It might take a couple of minutes! After finishing go back and wipe data again! Then choose reboot now!
7. Thats all! Explore and Enjoy!

As we were having our exams which was damn important to us, we were not able to post in this blog. But now all exams are completed and we will resume our work! And yeah we have loads of new things to tell you guys! *We now will post & support many more Samsung phones & probably other brands too in near future! Wht i can tell you is that we are now goos with phones ranging from our beloved Galaxy Y to some high end phones like Galaxy S2! :) *One more big news is that Broadcomm has turned opensource & has provided the essential Drivers required for compiling higher Android updates & AOSP roms! A dev of Galaxy Ace, Bieltv3 is currently working on CM9 ( android 4.0.4 ICS) *Whats more? Now you can ask us questions about your phone & we will reach to you as fast as we can! :) People around Kundapur can also meet us about the same! :) We know that Our phone is now too old & Samsung has stopped releasing updates & manufacturing. Many might have sold their SGY and bought other phones! But i can guarantee you there are only a few phones which have lot of custom roms, theming which includes Galaxy Y! 1. Delete all scripts in system/etc/init.d folder
2. Download the files and place it in root of sd card
3. Boot into CWM recovery!
4. Goto mounts and storage! Mount /system and /data !
5. Now go to install zip from sd card! Locate the zip file and flash it!
6. Reboot!!
If your phone is stuck at the logo for more than five minutes then remove your battery, insert it back and switch on your phone!
Thats it! Enjoy the speed!

Cyanogen Mod 7.2 for Samsung Galaxy Y!!

The famous and Successful Custom rom maker, Cyanogen has made a series of custom roms for a wide range of Android phones based on Android Open Source Project or AOSP!
Sadly Galaxy Y didnot get a Stable version during its early release! Thanks to Percy who successfully ported it to Galaxy Y!! This is an advanced rom with many modifications and totally different from Stock rom! So Explore yourself and learn! ;)

Downloads:
1. Cyanogen Rom ( XDA Thread );Rename the file to extesion zip as it is missing! Use root explorer or any other app
2. Cyanogen #2 kernel
3. CWM

Download all of them and place in root of sd card!!

Steps:
1. First of flash back to stock rom if you are in any other custom rom! (By holding volume up+power+home button while the phone is switched off) Particularly flash DXLF baseband stock rom to avoid bootloops!

2. Now in stock rom go to stock recovery! Wipe data and cache in there!

3. Now locate CWM in your sd card through install from sd card! Patch (open) it!

4. Goto Mounts and Storage and mount all the first four! System, data, sd card, cache!

5. Now go back, then go to install zip from sd card! Now locate the cyanogen #2 kernel and flash it!

6. After flashing go back! Goto advanced! Now select reboot recovery! Your phone will reboot amd you will be in CWM recovery integrated with your kernel!

7. Now go to Mounts and storage and format system, data and cache! Dont format your sd card!!!!

8. Now go back! Goto install zip from sd card and choose the main rom file! Flash it!!

9. Wait for a few minutes to complete and reboot! You have successfully flashed the rom!

10. The rom doesnt come with google apps! So you need to flash the Gapps! Download from above and flash it in CWM recovery! Remember to mount system and data!!

Thats it! Enjoy! The rom is one of the lagless roms for Galaxy Y!

Bugs: usb tethering and wifi tethering doesnt work, doesnt charge while the phone is switched off, mobile data symbol doesnt animate!

Rest all working great! Good Enough for daily use! :)

EGL lib files for Samsung Galaxy Y!!

If you are an Android Maniac you might have tried a lot to play Temple Run and other games in your little SGY! But the sad fact is it cannot be played! :(

It has been found that some Cyanogen based roms are able to play some games better than other roms! As you might know this is due to the unique library files of Cyanogen! If we replace the Stock lib files with those of Cyanogen you might be able to play a lot of new games! ;) Dont expect Temple Run to run perfectly! It will just run smoothly with other known bugs!

So lets do it!

Requirements:-

1. Rooted Galaxy Y

2. Root explorer or any other File browser with root access!

3. Cyanogen lib files by Yusepz

4. Chainfire 3D with plugins! Extract the plugins zip too!

Downloads:-

Steps:-

1.Install Chainfire3D! While installing make sure you select Explerimental EGL! After Installing your phone will restart! After restart go to the app and select 'Install Plugins/shaders'! And install the three Nvidia, Qualcomm , PowerVR!

2. Now extract the lib files by Yusepz! Open Root Explorer ( or any other of your choice! ) and go to /System/lib/egl and copy the file/files and paste anywhere in your sd card!

3. Open the extracted folder and go to cm7 lib by Yusepz/system/lib/egl and copy all the files to system/lib/egl/*here*

4. Reboot your phone!

5. Now try any game and set the chainfire settings! See if it works! We will give a tutorial on GTA 3 on Galaxy Y by these steps!

Works on all roms including stock rom! Cyanogen roms doesnt need this as they have the same lib files which we are going to replace by! ;)

Note: Some armv7 to armv6 ported games maynot work after this!
We are not responsible for any loss of data or bricked phones! Just follow instructions a bit careful and dont end up in the middle!

Instructions:-

1. Download the '.zip' file and place it anywhere in sd card or in the root of sd card!

2. Switch off your phone and Go to system recovery by holding home+power+volume up buttons simultaneously! Go to install from sdcard and patch CWM !

3. In CWM recovery first mount /system and /data from 'mounts and storage'!

4. Go to install from sd card>install zip from sdcard> search for your zip and click on it! Select install!

5. After installation is complete reboot and enjoy!!!!!

If your phone gets stuck at samsung logo remove your battery and insert it again! Then restart your phone! It is due to clearing of dalvik cache that it takes time for first boot!!

It works in all models of phone and roms!!

Requirements :

- Android 2.3.x (Gingerbread) and higher.
- Kernel with init.d support .
- Root and newey busyBox version.
-Custom recovery(like CWM or TWRP).
- At least 12 MB of free space in "/system".

+ Balanced version , is for people with
moderate apps use.
+ Gamers version, is for people playing HD/3D

+ Nexus version, contains values from Google
source used in nexus devices.

Please note to remove all tweaks or scripts already installed by flashing its respective uninstaller zip or delete contents in /system/etc/init.d/
Recommended is to flash the uninstaller file so that other files other than tweaks are not deleted!

Steps:

1. Download your desired ram manager and Signed_Fly-On_Mod_V4.0-Alphax.zip and place it in root of your sd card! That it not in any folder!

2. Switch off and go recovery mode by holding volumeup+home+power button and then to CWM recovery!

3. Select install zip from sd cardand select your ram manager! And install it!

4. Then again go to install zip from sd card and select Signed_Fly-On_Mod_V4.0-Alphax.zip! Install it!

5. Reboot your phone and feel the smoothness!!

Wifi Driver for stock & Custom roms!

There are a lot of custom roms for android phones like hyperion 8 for Galaxy Y ! Along with that are the bugs!
The main bug in almost all the roms is the WIFI!! They dont switch on or switch off automatically! And we are here for a solution to the problem! You need to install wifi drivers for your phone!
These drivers are provided by whitexp , a senior member in XDA! If had developed this for his kernel ! But it works in other kernels too!

Both the drivers work in white xp! For other kernels try the 1st one!

Instructions :-
1. Download and place in root of sd card!
2. Goto recovery mode by holding volumeup+home+power button during boot! Then patch clockworkmod !
2. Go to mounts & storage and mount /system !
3. Go to install zip from sd card and locate the zip and click install!
Thats it!
Set wifi sleep policy to never just in case after flashing!
This is only for Galaxy Y!

Steps to install:-

1. If you dont have Whatsapp in your phone download it from Playstore ! Dont download from outside!

2. Open it and complete login details! Get into whatsapp! When you are good to go just uninstall the app! :-P Make sure you keep a backup just in case!

3. Now download Whatsapp+ and install it!

4. Open it and enter your mobile number which you earlier created an account!

5. You will be automatically logged it and HOLA! You have successfully installed Whatsapp+! Enjoy the features! And keep messaging!

If you have already installed whatsapp then skip to the end of 2nd point!

Uninstalling is recomended strongly! If you have Whatsapp preinstalled in phone then install normally but it might cause problem later!

Safe Mode for all Samsung phones!!

Just like in PC you can boot into safe mode in Android!! You dont need a rooted phone for this!!

Safemode is used for uninstalling a misbehaving app which caused bootloop or force closing or any other type!!

It is almost same as your phone right now with a banner of safemode!!

Steps:-

1. Switch off your phone



2. Switch it on! When the first image that is "Samsung 'your model' "appears do not press any button!



3. When the boot animation starts press the left sensor key and hold for few second. You will get 2 vibrations! A short one first and long one later!





4. Now you are into safe mode! You can see a banner showing safe mode in the bottom!!



5. Browse for the misbehaving app and uninstall it! Or any other idea you have with safe mode! :-P



6. To switch back to normal, switch off your phone and restart it & dont press any keys now!!!!

Works in all Stock and Custom (almost!) rom!!

No chance of bootloop!!

Try it and enjoy!!

Today afternoon while I was asking people about their CPU settings I got a new MOD (sysctl trick) personally created by Abdul Rozaq Optimizer in facebook !

I tried it for myself and found it very useful!!

Requires root!!

Features:-

1. Anti lag - Reduces lag very much! Almost 90%
And increases CPU speed

2. Battery tweaks - Some tweaks to save battery!

Steps and Requirements:-
1. Rooted phone (click here to know how to root)

2. CWM

3. Dragonfire zip (place it in root; not in any folder)

Steps to install:-

1.Switch off your phone and go to recovery mode by holding volume up+home+power button simultaneously!

2. Patch CWM by locating and opening it!

3. Go to Mounts and storage and mount system

4. Go back, locate the dragonfire zip and install it!!

5. Go back clear cache!!

6. Reboot your phone and enjoy!!!

Use seeder for further lag reducing!

Empty your battery to zero and then charge it to full to have a good battery health after flashing the zip!

Finally we are posting on our first custom rom tested by us! Hyperion 8!!

Firstly let me define what is custom rom!!
As you all people know ROM stands for Read Only Memory! In the case of Android its your OS with all the stock apps!
Stock ROM is the one that you get with your smartphone. It would have a lot of bloatware consuming your storage!
Whereas Custom ROM is customised by some developer to his own ways and keeps only the apps that are needed to run.

Kernel is one that will the main part of your ROM like a heart! It has various settings to keep your phone healthy, perform well, save battery and overclock as well!

Many Custom Roms have bugs but this one doesnt!! Believe me!! I have tested it for 2 weeks!

Requirements:-
1.Rooted phone (click here to know how to root)
2.CWM
3.Rom

Backup all your apps and contacts through titanium backup or any other app of your choice!

Steps:-
1.Switch off your phone and go to recovery by pressing volume up+home+power button

2.Go to install from sd and patch CWM by opening it!

3. Now go to Mounts & storage and mount everything. System, sd card, sd ext, data

4. Go back to Advanced and clear battery stats and dalvic cache.

5. Go back and select clear data. It will format your phone. Now select clear cache

6. Go to install zip from sd > apply zip from sd card. Locate the rom zip file and select it! This will install the rom!

7. After installation completed go back and reboot!

8. First reboot may take time! At the Galaxy Y logo about 1.20mins and at the hyperion logo around 2minutes! Your phone will have a fresh look and have a fresh start!!

Enjoy!!

Just remember 3 steps! Mount everything, Clear everything, install zip!!

Overclock Galaxy Y to 900mhz easily!!!

Yea!! You can use your Galaxy Y at 900mhz frequency!!

Galaxy Y comes with a processor of 832mhz frequency! It shows a lot of lags for the new games and gets stuck lot of times!! Force close and many!! But through Overclocking you can minimize it but it cannot be nullified!!

For those who don't know what is OVERCLOCKING, Wikipedia says this;

"Overclocking is the process of
making a computer or component
operate faster than the clock
frequency specified by the
manufacturer by modifying system
parameters. One of the most
important techniques is running at a
higher clock rate (more clock cycles
per second; hence the name
"overclocking"), but other
parameters, such as CPU multiplier
and memory timings, can also be
changed and would be considered to
be overclocking. Operating voltages
may also be changed (increased),
which can increase the speed at
which operation remains stable.
Most overclocking techniques
increase power consumption,
generating more heat, which must
be dispersed if the chip is to remain
operational."

By this the games will have less lags and the phone will be a bit fast!!

2.Overclock zip file (get it here

3.CPU master or Set CPU (get it from playstore or here

4.CWM if you dont have!!

Steps:-

1. Download the required files and place it in root of sd card! Not in any folder!!

2.Switch off the phone and go to recovery mode by holding volume up+power+home button simultaneosly!!

3. Now go to install zip from sd

4. Locate CWM and open it!!

5. Now go to install zip from sd

6. Choose zip from sd

7. Locate and chose the zip file!! Click install!

8. Reboot your phone!

9. Install CPU master and open it!!

10. Select scaling as PERFORMANCE!!
And extend the bar to 900mhz and apply!!

Thats it!!!! Enjoy!!
Alternate method if the above method is not WORKING!! 1. Download the file and place in root 2. Goto recovery mode > clear data then clear cache 3. Go to install from zip 4. Locate the overclock file and install it!! 5. Download CPU master and select performance. Extend bar to 900mhz!!
Note: You might find your battery draining faster after this!! So lower the frequency when you are not using the device for gaming and multitasking!!

A Solution to Android's back sensor button problem!!

Ofcourse many of you might have faced problem with the back sensor button of your android not responding unless it is an actual button like some Sony mobiles! Here a solution to it!

This looks like the real buttons of Official ICS Nexus phone!! You can even customise its colour and size & many more!!

The back button of galaxy y and the same series phone stop responding due to long use, improper placement of the screen gaurd!

These are some previews on how it will look!!

Now the steps!!

Root Required!!!

Steps:-

1.Download 'softbutton.zip' and place it in root of sd card i.e not in any folder!

2.Switch off the phone!

3.Go to recovery mode by holding volume up+home+power button simultaneously!

4.Select update from sd card and select CWM.zip!

5.Select apply update from sd card & install from sd card & select softbuttons.zip!

5.Reboot the phone!!

After reboot you can see a new app in your app list called virtual button bar! Activate it and customise it! Tick proximity sensor so that you can use it at ease!

1.Root your Galaxy Y or similar qvga phone! (to know how to root click here)

2.Download apk and data from here or here
It is in zip format so use astro or easy unrar! Dont install the apk!!

3.Move the Gangstar folder to sdcard/Gameloft/Games/ here !! Now install apk!

4.Open Chainfire3d
Tick reduce texture quality and reduce texture size !! Use Qualcomm as plugin!!

5.Open the game and enjoy!!

For better performance clear ram before play!!

For secure install open the game in airplane mode for first time only!!

Launchers, which are famous among Android users which enhance user apperance to an extent! ( Check out our list of launchers )
Lockers are also equally important! There are a lot of Lockers available in market! But for each locker style you need to download particular app! But this file has been reloaded with 11 lockscreens!!
This has been extracted and modified by XDA member SaM-RoN! Surprisingly it has been extracted from a Chinese phone!!
It includes iPhone lock, ripple lock, fold, broken glass, S3 lock and much more!!!
Needs root!!!
Steps:-
1.Download the zip and place it anywhere in sd card!
2.Switch off your phone and Go to Recovery mode by clicking Home button+Volume up+Power button!!
3.Go to apply update from sd card and go to CWM recovery by patching CWM!
4.Go to Mounts and Storage and mount system andount everything just in case!
5.Now in CWM recovery go to 5th option apply update zip and then install zip. Browse for the downloaded file and install it!!
6.Reboot and enjoy!!
After reboot you can see a new app installed called Multi locker! Open it and select any lock and enjoy!!
One problem with the app. After unlocking the default lock appears and you need to unlock twice! To overcome this download an app from market called No Lock!! (download) Disable lock in the app and everything is set!!
