Membership registration for this year’s San Diego Comic Fest is now online! To get to the registration page, just click on the “Registration” menu tab above.

The first San Diego Comic Fest was a great success and we plan on making this year’s Fest an even greater experience for all our attendees, professional guests, and dealers. We invite you to come and enjoy the friendly comic book convention with a casual atmosphere and an intimate scale. The emphasis will again be on comics, science fiction, and movies, served up with a sense of community that brings professional writers and artists together with fans in an environment of creative exchange and good, good times.

Here is some news that we hope will add to your holiday cheer. The dates have been set for the second annual San Diego Comic Fest. The Fest will once again be at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center and will be held October 4-6, 2013.

In the days ahead we will be changing over this web site for next year’s Fest and Fest dates and will begin listing our guests.

We hope to see you next October in San Diego for a great time!

Here is Wendy All, so very happy at the entrance to the just-installed recreation of Café Frankenstein that was an outstanding part of San Diego Comic Fest 2012. Wendy did all of the art and decorations that recreated the work of artist and original Café Frankenstein co-owner Burt Shonberg.

For many attendees, our Café Frankenstein was the high point of the Fest and all agreed that Wendy had done a remarkable job in recreating Shonberg’s art and designing the look of our Café recreation.

Online sales have now ended.

However, memberships are still available at the door for the San Diego Comic Fest. Just come on down to the Town & Country Hotel. It’s conveniently located next to the Fashion Valley Mall near the trolley station.

The Town and Country Hotel address is 500 Hotel Circle North, San Diego, CA 92108.

For San Diego Comic Fest attendees, parking is just $4 per day at the Town & Country Resort and Convention Center.

The only exception is the hotel registration parking area which has short-term parking only.

Also, the Fest is in the east side of the Town and Country property, so you’ll want to park on that side.

Artist as Entrepreneur

Between now and the October 19th start date of the San Diego Comic Fest, we will be doing a series of “Countdown to Comic Fest” videos featuring guests, exhibitors, and other Fest participants. Here is the sixth installment in the series featuring Bunny Bennett who will be exhibiting in the San Diego Comic Fest Art Exhibit and also will be attending the Fest.

San Diego Comic Fest volunteer Peter Csanadi did this great aerial view map of the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center, highlighting the areas we will be using. That’s where the magic will happen starting this Friday, October 19th.

Between now and the October 19th start date of the San Diego Comic Fest, we will be doing a series of “Countdown to Comic Fest” videos featuring guests, exhibitors, and other Fest participants. Here is the fifth installment in the series featuring Café Frankenstein recreationist Wendy All. While at the Fest, don’t miss visiting Café Frankenstein, our very own in-house coffeehouse featuring musical entertainment, informal programming sessions, and more.
