One of the great things about a City Hall wedding is the freedom afterward to go to different nearby locations, as San Francisco simply offers a veritable plethora of picturesque locales. We went the touristy route, but at the same time found a couple of little nooks for some quick shots.

Congratulations to Yang and Jay!

It was an intense year, but one that was filled with so many special moments.

We are truly blessed to do what we do.

It allows us to see the good in the world on a daily basis, each shoot reminding us the importance of family, friends and a life filled with choices that define us.

We wanted to end the year with a few highlights of the holiday season.

We are so lucky in what we do. We are blessed to be part of peoples lives.

It is a privilege, pleasure and celebration to be a very small part of the journey. We first met Yodit and Ben several years ago and were lucky enough to be a part of their wedding day.

Then we heard the very special news that a little one was on the way (See the pregnancy portraits).

Nathaniel was born a little over a year and half ago. He is laughter and bubbles incarnate. He also will do something with music because it moves him whenever he hears it and when he doesn’t he searches for it. We wish them the best for the holiday time, but know that they already have the most important and precious gift of all — each other.

Each one letting the other be their best.

Their friends and family celebrated their love on a sun-filled afternoon.

They laughed, danced and ate cupcakes as the day wore on.

We also had a chance to explore San Francisco and catch the last rays of the setting sun.

Big hugs to both of them and a cupcake or two to remember a very, very beautiful day!

It is a force that binds and leaves us stronger for the experience. Rachel and Chris kept their ceremony focused on intimate family members that came from both coasts. They then explored a little of what is SF and with joy and humor (there is a car story involved here as seen in the images below:) we captured a piece of their story.

We hope the images bring smiles and memories for a lifetime — cheers, you two!

You get Kristine and Christian’s wedding at the Byington winery! Nestled in the Santa Cruz mountains overlooking Los Gatos, and with perfect weather, Byington Winery offered as pretty a venue as you’d ever find. It also necessitated navigating through several long miles of windy mountain roads, something we’re sure people relished, judging by the number of car enthusiasts on the premises that day.

The picturesque locale was the perfect place for Kristine and Christian to laugh and enjoy their friends and family. Friends came from far and wide and celebrate their day and celebrate they did after a sun filled ceremony on the hill top.

We wish them the best and know they had a day to remember and we were proud to be there.

How we deal with it shows a little of our mettle. For Katelyn and Weston, they simply smiled and enjoyed the change as we know they will on their journey of life.

What a day! We started in the sun and the bridal party were a delight to create with! When Katelyn and Weston’s families arrived, we knew where their joie de vivre came from

The ceremony was in front of the whale in the courtyard and surrounded by mist — the ocean came to shore!

The reception was filled with warm speeches of a lifetime of friendships and then the party began — the group laughed, danced and laughed some more.

With a foundation of family and friends as rich as Katelyn and Weston’s, we know that their life journey will be full and complete with each other,

You know, the type of place that has great restaurants, an awesome university, quirky personality and fun smart people.

It also has Volvos.

This is a story about Volvos or rather, two people who are Volvo people.

Katelyn and Wes wanted to capture things or places that told their story and what better place than their home (front porch) and walking to the coolest of shopping marts, the Berkeley Bowl — I can’t tell you how many people mention that particular place

Then it was a war of Volvos. Wes has a classic that is in amazing condition (and the shape that ALL Volvos were meant to be) and Katelyn, well Katelyn’s is a little newer and nicer — hey, she’s got class!

We had so much fun with them and are looking very forward to this weekend — their weekend!
