Computers developed more for data processing. Then came the Internet, with it came a new purpose for the computer.

Now a new age, low energy age. All Electronics has to be frugal in resource usage. Hardware very light, Software must be Network Friendly, Client server type. Solutions cost-effective, consumer friendly.

This alone is sustainable. This applies to data processing too. If the cost of a solution is more than just living with a problem; That solution is unnecessary. We have to find a better way.

A Computer has to be Built for the Web and the Web has to be Built for this Computer. This is needed for Communications, Education, Books, Knowledge, Shopping and Business.

Most Important Specs. - Low Power, Wireless, Portable, Secure, Simple. The Browser is the Most and Only Important part of this Computer.

It has to be Maintenance Free Computing (client side). This applies to two main branches -

Enterprise Computing or Data Processing or Office Computing
Consumer Computing or Home Computing or Multimedia-Games-Entertainment

The clients and servers of both have to be designed in different ways. It has to be Web or Network Centric, Energy Conscious, Cost Effective, serviceable, maintainable and sustainable.

DTT - Direct To Tablet is a Technology, That is required in the communication Infrastructure, both for wireless and wireline networking. At Least till Optic Fibers Reach Every home.

If the Satellite Broadcasting Technology and RF Wireless Semiconductor Technology, advances fast. It may be Possible for DTT as a small module in the Tablet. This is TV on Tablet with Interactivity, as we have TCP/IP as well on Wi-Fi. This method does not load the TCP/IP infrastructure with HD Videos or Audio.

The other way is Intermesh WiMax with DTH to make Interactive TV on Tablet. The HD Media is requested by a Net Protocol, then it is got form Sattelite on Local DTH and comes to Tablet over WiMax. This way a HD Video need not travel a long distance, around the globe, causing traffic jams.

I am sure, still nobody got my idea, or what i am talking of, but its is pleasant that way. Here is an image i had done a couple of years back. Try incremental levitation of the thought process, then you shall perceive a Tux on the Clouds.

If it is Tux that rules the Skies, it is Tuz on the Ground. It is a Tasmanian devil.

Directly or Indirectly it is Tux who has made tablets possible. I feel iPad to Android its is the Open Source Spirit and Tux community, That have made it happen.

iPad OS also is derived from Darwin (operating system). which has a similar pedigree.

The Android (operating system) is also based on the same ancestry or family tree.

In fact all are, some admit, some do not.

The Mobile Phones and SmartPhones will be things of the Past, just like the Gramophone. Netbooks, Nettops and Tablets of different sizes will be available to suit any function.

Communication by Voice, SMS or Video Chat will be possible on any Tablet or the TV or the Mini-Tablet Communicator in your pocket. The Phone Connection and Service will be on VoIP on the same WiFi, WiMax indoors or Outdoors. These will be achieved by a chain of modular mini WiMax relays. What you saw and What you got

If a Video was created in a Lower Resolution it is no use showing it at a High Resolution. A Video created or acquired in High Resolution can be shown in any lower resolution.

Showing a Video in High Resolution in smaller devices will not help much. This is the limit of the Human Eye itself. So do not waste bandwidth and processing power in very small devices.

What's the deal with all these different graphic formats? BMP, JPEG, GIF, PNG, SVG, WMF...?

JPEG, on the other hand, uses a different approach for achieving compression. The method it uses drops some of the data, so it is called "lossy". It does this using some known tricks to how the human eye works. This works well for photographic images, less so for artwork, and extremely poorly for line art. The problem with JPEG, as it relates to clip art, is that JPEGs show artifacts (strange blocks and shadows) when you zoom in on them. You also can't edit them often. When you save the JPEG again, the computer saves the original artifacts and creates more, so the quality goes down. The higher the compression ratio you use, the faster it'll get bad.

PNG (pronounced "ping") is usually the best raster format for saving clip art, but it too has a few tradeoffs. It is a lossless format so it doesn't have the problems that JPEG has, and it uses more colors and better compression than GIF. However, the file size still gets unreasonable for large images, and it is not supported by some applications. This is much less of an issue today than it was a few years ago, but since most Microsoft programs don't display PNGs correctly, many users are still affected.

If you want to use ThingamaBlog with PortableApps it is a bit difficult. Here i will show a simple way.

Make a folder 'Tamb' in your Portable Drive HDD. Let use say it is G:, you can always set it to G: before you start.

How To Change Drive Letter - Be Careful Here

My Computer Right Click - Manage or Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Computer Management - Storage - Disk Management.

Drives and Partitions - right-click the USB drive you have installed, then select "Change Drive Letter and Paths..." Change..." select your drive letter G: OK. warning message "Yes" Close this dialog.

(If you change your C: or D: your computer may Fail and may become difficult to Repair. Never Ever change C: - This is the place of the Operating System.)

Unplug USB drive, and put back it will have G: a drive letter as you set.

Batch Executable for Tamb

Make a Batch File - Empty Text File - Called 'tamb.bat' or 'run.bat' plain text use TextPad, NoteTab or NotePad++. This file must be in the new tamb folder you created. Make a shortcut for this and paste the shortcut on desktop. Change icon to something nice and set shortcut properties to Run Minimized.

Add this Line

G:\Portable\main\PortableApps\CommonFiles\Java\bin\java.exe -jar thingamablog.jar

Where G: is the Drive Letter of the Portable Apps and Full Path as per your Installation. Use xplorer to do the file management and view paths. The path to Java.exe must be correct and you must have "Portable Java" from Portable Apps installed already.

Now just use the Icon Tamb on desktop to start blogging. (do not close the minimized dos/shell java window). Save your blog profile in some folder on the Portable Drive G:.

Get a real HardDisk like a External Portable Seagate or iOmega to get speed. In case you need it faster, Install Gizmodrive in the Computer where you are working for some time, example .. while you are on a Tour. With Gizmo create an Encrypted Virtual Drive with G: letter. In this G: copy your portable apps files and it will run faster. Remember password do not set auto-mount. When you are moving again from that place, say after your tour ends, make a backup from the Gizmodrive to your external drive; Delete Virtual drive and uninstall gizmo. Keep data safe in your External drive or ColudDrive like Drop Box. Never leave any app logged in.
