To complete the registration process for the 2012 T-Bird season for football and cheer, please follow the instructions set forth below. Your child’s registration will NOT be complete unless all of the steps have been completed:

3. Once you have reviewed these documents, PRINT off the Master Acknowledgment form. You will need to complete this form in its entirety by initializing that you have reviewed all of the documents listed above and you and your child are required to sign and date the form where indicated.  For Cheer Participants: You will need to indicate on the Master Acknowledgment form where indicated whether your child is authorized to “stunt” as set outlined in the Stunting Permission slip.

4. IF your child has a medical issue that the T-Birds need to be aware of, you will need to print off the Medical Questionnaire and bring it to registration. Remember, it is your sole responsibility to provide the T-Birds with any pertinent medical information that you feel is necessary for the coaches and/or Board of Directors to be aware of. All information will be kept confidential.

5. Register your child “on-line” by clicking HERE. It will re-direct you to the League Toolbox website where you will register your child and pay the necessary fees.

6. Attend one of the “on-site” registrations and bring with you (1) completed Master Acknowledgment form; (2) a certified copy or original of your child’s birth certificate or passport ONLY if your child did not participate in the 2011 season; (3) your child so that a league photo may be taken as well as measurements taken for equipment and, if necessary, (4) the completed Medical Questionnaire; (5) your deposit check.

7. At the “on-site” registration, you will be given the “League Medical Card” referenced in the Registration Packet which will be required to be completed and returned pursuant to the guidelines outlined in the Registration Packet.

Todd French is known by friends and community members alike as a warrior. For almost a decade, he has been a beloved coach for the T-Birds and other youth sports organizations in the Tri-Valley Area. He has spent his life inspiring young athletes to become winners. But for Todd, coaching has always been about giving back to the community that he so dearly loves. He has shaped thousands of boys into leaders and men. For this there are no trophies. Now, Todd faces the greatest battle of his life, lung cancer.

American Youth Football and Cheer

In the past, our community service projects have included partnering with Toys for Tots and the Contra Costa County Food Bank. Each year the Board has discussed how the T-Birds, as an organization, can help “make a difference” in the lives of others and also provide our children an opportunity to learn one of life’s lessons by helping others and “giving back”. Last year, we supported a worthwhile cause that benefits those children who are suffering from illness and seeking treatment at Children’s Hospital in Oakland and we are committed to continue our support of this non-profit organization.

Trevor’s Eagle Blanket Foundation’s mission is to make and distribute fleece blankets for use by patients at Children’s Hospital. Now before you say “I don’t have the talent nor the time to make a blanket”, think again. All you need is fabric, scissors, about 1 hour of your time and the most important skill – the willingness to help others! Now, this is where you and your family come into play -

Our Goal – Have every football player, cheerleader, coach, board member and any other family member or friend make a blanket to be presented to the Foundation in mid-October.  Last year, our families and friends of the T-Birds generously donated over 275 blankets. This year, we would like to beat that goal and deliver 400 blankets to Children’s Hospital. We believe that with everyone participating and perhaps making more than 1 blanket each, we can score the “winning touchdown” and get to 400 without breaking a sweat.

Supplies Needed – Fleece, scissors, a tape measure and approximately 1 hour of your time. Directions on how to assemble the blankets are set forth below. NOTE: Joann’s Fabrics, now located in their brand new store in Dublin, are always having sales on their fleece so keep an eye out and take advantage of their sale. As mentioned above, no sewing is required. If you can count, use scissors and tie a knot, you are on your way. Last year it was great to see some of our football coaches making the blankets in the stands during one of our football games?

Deadline – All blankets will need to be completed by October 15, 2011 (Homecoming) so that we can deliver them to the Foundation in time for the holiday season. We have asked the team moms for both football and cheer, to serve as our “blanket” coordinators. Completed blankets will be collected at each squad level and will be presented to Trevor’s family in early November on behalf of the entire T-Bird community. Once the team moms have been finalized, they will reach out to their respective squad with details on “delivery” specifics.
