Christians are grafted into the most prestigious family in the Universe -- God's family (Romans 11.17-24 NIV). God is the maker of all things. He created the cosmos, the heavenlies, the earth, the animals, the plants, humankind and you! This truth is not something to be taken lightly. As members of God's family, we are promised many things:

We are children of God (1 John 3.1). We are co-heirs with Christ (Romans 8.17). We have a promised inheritance (Hebrews 9.15). We have everlasting life (John 6.47). We are forgiven from all our sins (Acts 13.38). We have a God-given purpose (Ephesians 1.11). We have God's Spirit living within us (Acts 1.8). We are able to easily fellowship with God (1 John 1.3). We are given the living Word of God (Hebrews 4.12).

These are just a few of the promises found in the Bible that Christians can claim. We are blessed beyond comprehension. We have eternal life with a God Who is Love, Who is Joy, Who is Glory! We are sanctified (made holy, blessed, set apart for a divine purpose) through Christ!

When we understand that Jesus came to this earth to be our bridge from a sin-filled world to a sinless God and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are made new in Christ and are given the Spirit of God living within us. We are marked (Eph 1.13). We are set apart (Psalm 4.3). We are holy (Colossians 3.12). We are loved (2 Thessalonians 2.1).

However, we cannot claim these promises unless we know them. The Sanctified Together Compassion and Discipleship Resource is an effort to start a "Sanctification Movement." Our desire is to live as sanctified women. We are not perfect, but we are righteous through Christ! Jesus did the most beautiful act on the cross -- He died so that we could be beautiful in God's eyes. We must boldly come to the throne and claim our victory! We are daughters of the Most High King!

Our Purpose is to encourage and disciple women to live set-apart lives for Christ and to be a light into the world, spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Will you join us in this effort? Will you make it your determined purpose to lead lives that are holy and pleasing to God? We are not of this world. We want to cultivate what makes us different. We want the world to know that we serve an awesome God who calls us His beloved Brides!

Our Plan is to be a place where women can support each other in their sanctification process by doing the following:

1) Writing inspirational articles that edify (instruct, uplift, enlighten) women
2) Supporting women with blog comments and emails
3) Praying for women
4) Coming along side women in their effort to know God more
5) Producing Sanctified Together Email & Online Publication that showcases Christian women's work
6) Allowing God's light to shine in the darkness of the Internet and world

We are excited about all that God has planned for us! We hope that you will use Sanctified Together Resource as a tool to develop your relationship with Christ! We know that ministry is a side note to God's purpose of doing a good work in us. We offer ourselves as obedient servants of Christ, and we dedicate this effort to His service. Amen!

Alisa and Christina both received Christ as their Lord and Savior in a small Baptist church in South Texas at age 14. Though they each wandered down different life paths, God has brought them together to establish Sanctified Together Compassion and Discipleship Resource.

Alisa and Christina have a heart to serve God and to fulfill the purpose He has designed for them. Neither of them is perfect, yet they know that God doesn't require perfection -- He requires obedience.

Alisa's passion is to see women grow in their relationship with Christ. She loves sharing what the Holy Spirit is currently teaching her. Her desired teaching medium is writing; though, God also calls her to teach in small group settings. She founded and is chief editor of the Granola Bar Devotional. She also contributes her writings to other writing ministries, including Take Root and Write, Internet Cafe and Exemplify Online and Magazine. She is the One on One with God Coordinator for the JANES Women's Ministry. And she enjoys teaching Bible studies and discipleship curriculum. She is excited about producing Sanctified Together Email & Online Publication, in which she hopes to showcase other Christian women's work. Alisa has a Master's of Arts Degree in English - Applied Linguistics and a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in English. She has taught English to every age group. Alisa and her husband are hometeam leaders at their church. They love raising their three children - two boys and a girl.

Christina's passion is to encourage women struggling with life difficulties. She loves using her experience and knowledge to come along side women and point them to Jesus Christ. She has a Master's of Science Degree in Social Work and a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Social Work. She has earned her clinical license and has worked in many areas, including drug addiction, homelessness, suicide, death & dying, marital problems, chronic pain, child maltreatment, sexual/physical abuse, mental/physical impairment, child behavioral problems, anxiety and depression. She has used her expertise to train interns, facilitate learning groups and speak professionally on topics that encourage, motivate and equip others to overcome life struggles. She created and implemented an on-line Bible study, Web Bible Babes, and co-founded a successful outreach ministry, Grunt Girls. Currently, Christina is a stay-at-home mom and is a MOPS small group leader. She also volunteers as the Blog Master of the JANES Women's Ministry, Granola Bar Devotional, Faith Imagined and Sanctified Together. Christina is also Alisa's Literary Manager and helps with social networking, web design, book research and the marketing of Alisa's writings. Christina and her husband enjoy raising their son and daughter together.

Alisa and Christina are both excited about this new opportunity to share God's love. They are honored that God would choose two crazy, imperfect girls like them to be a light to a dark world. Their prayer is that the Sanctified Together Resource becomes a place where Christian women can find refuge from a world that seeks to conform them. They desire that Christ-followers will join together in being set apart and sanctified for God's glory!

Sanctified Together Email & Online Publication is a compilation of Christian women's writing, art and photography on a specified topic. These publications are delivered via email and made available online. The purpose of this publication is to grow women in their walks of faith and to encourage women to be set a part and sanctified in Christ! Please view the next publication's topic and submit your work to sanctifiedtogether@gmail.com.

Current publication title - Life is a Vapor (brevity of life).

James 4.14 (NKJV): "Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away."

We are seeking the following works on the brevity of life:

1) How-to articles (700 - 1200 words)
2) Devotionals (less than 500 words)
3) Personal faith stories (700 -1200 words)
4) Poetry
5) Prayers (short, thoughtful prayers for God; 100-200 words)

We want to encourage a variety of perspectives that glorify God! This allows us all to get a better understanding of how awesome He truly is! All submissions should be about current topic and presented in a godly manner. Writings will be edited; however, we value writing styles and our time, so we will only change whatever we deem absolutely necessary. Make sure to add the translation version to your Bible verses.

Please pass on the next publication topic to any friends who may want to submit their work. We do not claim any ownership of your work. We ask, though, that you make an effort not to publish your article in another publications at the same time as ours (excluding your personal blog).

History of Sanctified Together

In 2006, God asked Alisa to start a writing blog. She didn't understand why. Although Alisa loved writing, she had no idea how to write in the blogging world. When she first began writing, her only readers were her husband, Christina and God. After several years of writing, she finally decided that she would obediently write for God, even if she never saw a difference in people's lives.

During this "desert writing," however, Alisa became involved in her women's ministry. She created the Granola Bar Devotional Writing Ministry and fell in love with editing and encouraging women in their writing. She helped organize a larger infrastructure for her growing women's ministry and learned as much as she could about administrative ministry work. Alisa was confused when God moved her out of administration until she took a One on One with God study and found her passion: discipleship!

During this same time, Christina also became involved in the women's ministry and served in ministry outreach. She enjoyed working with the women at her church as they served their community until God moved her and her family to another city. Since Christina lost all of her support group and ministry, she started playing with blog designs and slowly taught herself how to design blogs. She began helping online ministries with their blog designs, so they could more effectively reach the world for Christ.

Christina's passion to encourage women was constant, but she didn't know where she could serve. She wanted to use her knowledge as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to make a difference in women's lives. She began making her way through Christian counseling curriculum, equipping herself with God's Word and resources that she could share with women struggling with life difficulties. Though she hadn't yet realized it, God was about to open the ministry doors wide open.

Christina decided to help Alisa with her writing blog, and when they combined their efforts, a miracle happened: their ministry increased! Together they were able to serve even more women for Christ! Their efforts grew beyond Faith Imagined, so they sought God for the next step. Through much prayer and preparation, they took a big leap of faith and created the Sanctified Together Compassion and Discipleship Resource!

Alisa and Christina are thrilled to serve others for God's kingdom and eager to see how God uses them to fulfill His divine plan. They do not profess to be perfect, but they do desire to be obedient to God's will and to be used for God's purpose. They hope that you will join them with their efforts and help begin the sanctification movement!
