Internet savvy young adults, it is time to re-direct your interest to Global and world wide events and a education that enables you and your families to survive in this changing environmental era. Everyone has had a break by immersing themselves into computer technology and the likes, showing how intelligent you are, which you all have demonstrated your ability to figure out most things.

Now is the time to get back on track to the business at hand, and that is having a safe environment to live in. Finding out about our nuclear situation and what ever else you need to help our world be a safer place, a fair and just place for all. Go back to school and re-educate yourselves with the issues that are causing turmoil all over the world.

Invest in your life by securing a education which will insure you and all to be able to survive in our changing world, which seems to be experiencing many adverse findings in a lot of our in-place technologies and systems. The earth is changing along with the atmosphere . We need to know what should be utilized and what could become a threat to us.

My point is, you have mastered the computer technologies, now it it time to master the technology of
what makes the world go round safely. It time to really pay attention to your earthly surroundings.

Where there is a will there is a way, as the old saying goes. The people of Cairo have demonstrated that a large and organized group can change their destiny. With the hope and belief of together we stand , divided we fall has paid off for the first segment of this struggle, for all to to be treated fairly and just.

With the use of the Internets, face book and Mobil, they have been able to expose those that were unjust.The savvy of their young people fueled by education and fearlessness proved to be rewarding. The exposure on world wide news and Internet lessened the retaliation of punishment by the unjust.What is the next step for them to truly accomplish and complete what they started out to do? Gain freedom and justice for all.

The demonstrations are over, the square is cleaned up, and now back to the business at hand. What is best,
waiting for someone to choose their leader or making that decision on their on? They know better as to who is left in the regime and if they can be trusted. So it is time to get back to their dwellings and communicating with each other and making some suggestions as to whom they would choose to lead them.

I commend them for their togetherness and the non violence demonstrated during this trying time. It is not wise to rely on their military forces if they are already demonstrating for a an increase in salaries. How long will the armed forces be passive and fair? It is time for the people of Cairo to get back to the drawing board. The first battle has been won. Get prepared so there won't be another. May you all be safe on your journey to Freedom

New Year Sun Rise

A new year has arrived and not without the ways of the world. Like all things there is a combination of good and bad. Is this what makes the world go around ? We learn from the bad and hopefully we are guided to the good. Starting over is something we all must do at one time or another. This might not mean everything, but those things that need to be changed for the good of all.

One might say change what? It's not my fault.Making this a better world for all is the key to prosperity, love and equality. A puzzle as it might seem must have all the pieces to be made complete and whole.

Living without a purpose is no life at all. In order for all us to be complete and safe we must find and reach out and help those that are lost in this world of ours.

If we don't take the time to find and help others in their time of need and guidance, they will come to us and we will not be prepared for the encounter. Stop ignoring the signs of total disarray in one's behaviour, whether it be child or adult, your own or some one's family.

Maybe some type of agency needs to be established where one could report an issue , therefore professional help could be offered and the parties involved be alerted that there is a problem and what to do about it.

Help take away the darkness and let the Sun Rise in every one's world.

Thanksgiving is one of the holidays that we share with family and friends.This is one of the days that we make time to be with our loved ones and friends. We prepare our favorite foods and enjoy each other.
Most of us remember the kitchen giving off aromas that made you stay awake almost all night, hoping that daylight would come so you could savor all the goodies.The cakes, pies and that turkey with the stuffing that was better than the last time.
Those days are returning for most of us as we scurry around making grocery lists and trying not to forget anything. We will not forget those of us that are not able to enjoy Thanksgiving like before. Remembering others is what this day is all about. Donating a turkey is a great idea or even volunteering your help at a kitchen that will be serving Thanksgiving meals to those in need. Dropping by an elderly neighbor with a
home cooked meal is also a way we can share this day.
Let's really make this a Happy Thanksgiving for all.

To be or not to be a Bully. Bullies are created not born. A newborn infant is not automatically a bully, so where is it coming from. Turn on the TV, listen to the message that is being sent out by some. Threats that are so causally said with no regard for one's feelings. Politicians are guilty of this as we have just seen and heard during this last election. Some of the Celebrities have demonstrated some vile behavior. Children and young adults are also included.

It's way past due to start looking deeper into this problem. We as as a people have gone way off track as to what is acceptable and what is not. We have even more school age children reenacting this terrible behavior.

Our children deserve better and it is time to stand up and say NO MORE! It takes a village to raise our children. Has the village gone on vacation or what? Do you really know how your child is digesting all of this negativity and Bulling attitudes. Some of them wait until the parent is out of sight and demonstrate the same behavior. You as a parent might say never, not my child, but as the old saying goes, never say never.
There used to be a time when behavioral standards were set very high, now the bar is below what is needed to have a healthy and stable family.It is sad to think that in the long run that the repetitive bulling and negative behavior will become the norm in our society.

Electronics and a Log Home

While selecting your floor plans and design of your all wood Log Home, keep in mind all of your desired gadgets and where you want them installed. If you are not utilizing sheetrock or drywall in your Log Home, select the exact areas where you want your computers, telephones,televisions and all other electrical items. There will be no sheet rock to hide these wires, therefore this should be done a bit earlier than when building a conventional house. If you do not designate a place for your cable TV early on, the cable installer will have to drill a hole through the floor in order to gain access. You really do not want your wood damaged in that fashion.

Electrical outlets are not a problem because there is a specific amount required by the size of each room. All of your electrical wiring for the items mentioned above, should be concealed .
This means that you will have to go into each and every room and point out where you want your
cable connection to be placed and also the touch pads for your alarm system. Don't forget about the telephones and which rooms and where they are to be located.

The best way to accomplish this task is to get a copy of your floor plans, make a 8x10 copy of each room and using small pieces of paper, arrange as sofa, chairs,etc. This will help you visualize where you should have a telephone or cable connection.

The 8x10 copy method also helps in placement of your furniture at move in time. You will be able to
tell the movers exactly where to put what, which eliminates confusion and shortens move in time.

If you are really thinking about building a Log Home, you have a lot of home work to do. You really need to get plenty of Log Home brochures and floor plans. This will give you many ideas of what can be done to make your Log Home dream come true.

Visiting a model Log Home is a must, at least one. There is no charge for information and seeing for yourself, it is a plus. Keep in mind that when viewing a Log Home brochure there is no comparison to the actual layout. Log homes have a larger appearance when you are standing inside of one, compared to viewing a brochure.With that being said don't over build thinking that it will be small.
Due to most designs, the ceilings are quite high, giving a lovely spacious atmosphere.

Remember you are only asking for information, therefore there is nothing to sign up for (NOTHING).

Have you been thinking about a Log Home, really living in one? We stepped outside of the box and did just that. I am now living in an 3,900 sq. ft Log Home. Some people still call it a "Log Cabin", however you relate to it, I am quite sure you know what you have in mind, Logs and more Logs. It is a feeling of
Nature inside and out and truly fitting onto the 5.6 ares it is situated on.
Our Log home was constructed,custom, (by builders), of 8" Round Logs, Yellow Pine with 9'ft walls in most rooms and no sheet rock any where. A total of 5178sq.ft.
Now you know I am talking Logs here.

If you are looking into the possibility of of constructing a Log Home you are aware that you need a piece of land to put it on. Your builder is one of the most important factors in the project along with many other things , such as where to get your logs from.

Well if you have this dream I suggest you pursue it. A Log home is so peaceful and comforting and each day it gives you something really beautiful to wake up to.

As with anything in life there are things you need to be aware of in order to make your journey a happy one.

Children of Parents suffering from Depression

Once again a parent has harmed her children and both children have died, as reported on the news.
Death of any child is heart breaking, knowing that a life has been taken before having had a chance to play, run and see what the world has to offer them. Accidental death makes it no easier to bear.

Depression can be one of the culprits leading to a person doing harm to anyone. Anger can also cause a person to behave or even have volatile thoughts of doing harm or even mental illness might contribute.
All of these behaviors affect the normal way of thinking, which has to be diagnosed by a professional.
So many people let things build up inside of them and appear to be of normal thinking and behavior until something like this happens.

Depression can cause a person to withdraw from the normal thoughts and no one knows that they are depressed and they don,t tell anyone or they might, but when they can not get any positive feedback, they continue to withdraw into their own negative thoughts. This does not mean everyone suffering from depression, a lot of people suffering from depression seek professional help, which helps them sort the bad thoughts from the good.

Harming a child to get back at someone else is so wrong, and not normal, what you would call, way off track.It is easy to let bad thoughts run away with you and very hard to seek help or admit that you need help.
Words or mistreatment can be the last "straw that broke the camel's back".
Tell someone what you are feeling, maybe you are just plain worn out mentally and you are not aware
of how dangerously close you are to the breaking point
.
The child or children are not the problem. DO NOT TAKE IT OUT ON THEM, JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE EASY PREY!
We as adults are suppose to be protecting all children at all times, especially if they are with their own Parents.
PLEASE, SAVE YOURSELF SO YOU CAN SAVE THE CHILDREN !

FRIDAY...THE 13Th

More than a few years ago, this day started for me with nothing unusual. I was excited about sending my daughter off to visit her uncle in Florida, she would meet up with her older sister there also, with all arrangements made and her excitement of flying on the plane from NYC was unbelievable, joy was in the air.

I was working as an Sale rep. at the time, wholesale/retail foods. Well nothing goes as planned, one of my customers was short a box of spaghetti, so that meant that I would have to hand deliver the merchandise to one of my best customers on that same day that my daughter was to take her flight. No problem, I learned early on that your customers needs must be met no matter what, no excuses.

With the one box of spaghetti in tow along with my daughter, we started out to the airport in Queens NY. to get her boarded. I noticed that I had parked in section 13, with no reservations or thought of Friday the 13Th we continued on. Upon getting her boarded I was told that her seat was #13. I quickly asked for a different seat, which they granted after some motherly persuasion. She was seated in her new seat and the plane took off. I had gone over all the don't talk to strangers and everything else I could think of so she would be safe, she was about 14 at the time.

Now I must deliver the spaghetti before lunch time to my customer which I did, no problems , my customer was happy.
I was traveling back to the office which was located in the Bronx when a storm popped up, raining like cats and dogs gone wild. the water was half way up the sides of the car. I was on the Triboro Bridge and the car stopped in the middle lane. Cars were speeding by and at one point I felt I needed to get out of that car now. At that moment I was hit from behind by a car traveling about 60 miles per hour, leaving me facing the oncoming traffic and since I had my seat belt on,my upper body was
pressed against stick shift and my head in the passenger seat.

Pure terror was all I felt, I could not get out and with all the screaming I was doing was to no avail, the cars were speeding pass me trapped in my car.Someone finally stopped and said he was a doctor, but he did not stay with me or try to help me get out of that car.

The police finally came and stated they could not stay due to an emergency, but they would send an ambulance, which they did, I suppose they were the ones to call the ambulance.

So, for my thoughts on Friday the 13Th, I have always remembered and gotten past that unforgettable day. My daughter arrived at her destination safely and that was my only concern. I was unable to walk for about a month.
I tried to keep the accident a secret, well when my daughters found out about it they cut their visit short and returned home.

You never know what's in store for us on a given day, but we must count our blessings for every day granted to us.

HONEYBEES

OBSERVATION BEE HIVE

Have you ever had a friendly visit from Honeybees, in their Observation Bee Hive ? My interest was sparked after eating the delicious local Honey and Creamed Honey made and sold by

http://www.wolfriverhoney.com/ I learned about the pollination process and found out that without Honeybees there would be less production of fruit and vegetables, without a doubt, we need Honeybees.

Some of us may benefit from eating Local Honey, such as helping to fight off allergies. Honey can also be used in many recipes. Try honey in tea with lemon .It is also tasty drizzled on warm pancakes .

Beeswax comes from the glands of the bees and they build their honeycomb with it. There is much more involved for the beekeepers to process the honey and it is a lot of hard work just for one little bottle. This is really the only time I was faced with bees and did not flee. They were contained in their Observation Beehive, which is used as a teaching tool. The Beekeepers are just as busy as the bees doing what they do best and the process was explained to me step-by-step.

What a wonderful learning experience, for we take for granted how some things are done and what care and patience Beekeepers take to provide us with top quality products. The Honeybees are well taken care of, summer and winter. They are not kept in the observation beehive, they are all released back into their beehives where the Queen Bee and her workers make magic.

Matzo Ball Soup

This is a easy and delicious soup, what we call comfort food. We need all the comfort we can get from one source or another. If you you have never tried Matzo Ball Soup, try it, you will like it.

Ingredients:
Matzo ball Soup mix, Contains two bags
a).matzo ball mix # 1 bag
b).soup mix,bag #2 ( I do not use the soup mix)
1 cup of coarse cut celery
1 cup of chopped carrots
2 cloves of sliced garlic
1 small onion chopped
4 skinless chicken breast or 6 chicken wings, raw, or any pieces of your choice
1 tsp ground thyme or fresh
1 TB ground parsley
2 eggs
2 Tbs veg. oil
1 tsp sea salt
water to cover ingredients

1. Place carrots, celery, onions and garlic along with chicken and ground thyme into pot large enough
   to hold all ingredients, plus water.
2. Cover and bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until chicken and vegetables are done. Add soup mix (optional).

3. In a small bowl,mix
   2, eggs
   2 Tbs veg. oil
   # 1 package of matzo ball mix
4. place this mixture into refridge until chicken and vegetables are done
5. Take a tbs measuring spoon and scoop up matzo ball mixture and drop each spoonful into simmering,
   soup. Make sure each spoonful holds together by lightly shaping them.
   Add parsley, and cover with lid
   Chicken can be pulled apart into bite size pieces.


   Time: cooking time for matzo balls is approximately 30 minutes.

Farm Fresh Produce

Fresh produce is in abundance, don't want until it is all gone. it is time to support your local farmers in their endeavors to provide us with all the fresh items that we might need to get us through the winter. Their time, pride and hard work is reflected in the bounty that they provide us with.

One might say that you don't have time , or don't know what to do to prepare the items for freezing. With the way the economy is now it is well worth learning how to prepare your own. Canning is time consuming, but freezing is simple. It is also a way involve the whole family . You and the children can
have fun and is a learning experience.
Produce such as zucchini, yellow squash, green beans and greens can be washed, chopped and blanched in boiling water for 5 minutes and taken out in placed in a ice water bath just to cool and stop the cooking process and then placed into plastic, freezer bags. Depending on how you want to prepare the item, they can be added to a dish or sauteed with herbs and olive oil. If you prefer you can also wash your fresh veggies, dry and brush with olive oil and place onto the grill,pears, peaches and plums make a delicious grilled desert especially when drizzled with some fresh made bottled honey.

Fresh tomatoes, green peppers, melons taste so good when they are right from the earth, no additives and the like. So why not give it a try and you will have a smile on your face when pulling your fresh from the freezer in dead winter.

Arthritis "Mr Arthur"

"Mr Arthur" is tipping around all over, better try to stay out of his way. He is almost invisible you know, except for the swelling pain and aches. Arthritis seems to come from nowhere and you wonder, well what is this and you wait for it to go away. If you are lucky it might disappear, but not likely without treatment.

Joint inflammation, stiffness, pain and swelling are some of the symptoms. All of these things can cause tissue damage and if prolonged will create more problems if untreated. There is cartilage which allows the bone to move without friction and pain. The fluid nourishes the joint reducing friction. Disease or injury can also have negative effects on joints.

Diet and vitamins help reduce the risk of more damage. Exercise, such as walking also helps.

How do you feel about pets and have you learned anything from your pet? Pets bring something into your life that is unexpected and rewarding. A pet makes you relax and show feelings that you might think you don't have or might not know how to express. If trained properly, they really are the best friend a person can have. They don't talk back or tell you when you are acting ugly, they just look at you and you know they did not deserve that. They make you think about your behavior and responses to them which kind of makes you reflect on your responses at times.

Dogs, as pets are a rewarding adventure. They will chew and have an occasional accident, but will stop eventually with the proper training.Usually dogs will protest to being left alone and will make you say to yourself , that's it. As time goes on you will see that they are trying their best to please you. Who else can you tell all your secrets to and they will never, ever tell.

You might wonder sometimes, who's training who. As time goes on you both know what the other wants and needs. You need to do some research as to which kind of pet you want, finding out what temperament they have is important so you kind of match it up with yours be it a kitten or a puppy.Keep in mind they need Vet. care, food and a proper living area. They need to be walked or have a run. The one thing they need which is most important is love, and you are set to go. Children can also learn quite a bit from having to care for a pet of their own and they will always have a friend.

JULY 4th , INDEPENDENCE DAY Celabration

The Celebration of our Independence on July fourth is just a few days away, Sunday. The Declaration of Independence Day was voted on July 2nd, 1776, and approved by Congress on July 4th, 1776. The first celebration was on July 8th, 1776. Independence Day, " Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness".

How will you and your family celebrate this great day? Picnics and family gatherings are in order or
just plain relaxing and enjoying our blessings.

What ever makes you happy, that's what you and your family do. This Holiday was originally celebrated with fire works which was a tradition to celebrate the birthdays of their leaders..

Fire works are really a sight to see and enjoy, if done by those that are experienced, and held in a safe area. All children or most love to see the fire works, but fire works are not toys so make sure the children are out of harms way .
Some of us will have a three day weekend, so enjoy and be safe.

FREEDOM.... FOR " OIL"

Most living things are not equipped with a shut-off valves. Such as the human body and the like, and if so, as to my knowledge man can mimic the condition. The sea, the earth and the air we breath have no limits. There is no natural shut off valve in their make up.
With that being said, OIL rigs are designed and operated by man. I was under the impression that any kind of machinery of that nature (Man Made) had to have an On and OFF valve within it's mechanism in order to pass inspection and to test it. I would think that as each unit was put in place it would not have been set at full throttle or whatever it was going to connected was closed off. Can they really connect a new pipeline or rig with the Oil gushing out. I would think not, well maybe...
Where is the ON and OFF valves which should be mandatory and created for emergencies such as
this?
Every man made and installed mechanical device we use has to have an On and OFF switch or it is classified unfit for consumer use.
