काठमाडौ, आश्विन २१ - बाह्रवर्षे खड्गसिद्धि जात्रा दसैं टीकाको दिन सकिएको छ । पचली भैरवसँग १२ वर्षमा एक पटक राष्ट्रप्रमुखले खड्गसिद्धि गर्ने परम्परा मल्लकालदेखि चलिआएको हो । गणतन्त्र प्राप्त भएपछि पहिलोपटक भएको यस खड्गसिद्धि जात्रामा राष्ट्रप्रमुखको उपस्थिति भएन । राष्ट्रपति डा. रामवरण यादवलाई सरकारले जात्रामा जान अनुमति नदिएको हो । जात्रामा ऐतिहासिक मल्ल राजाको प्रतिनिधिका रूपमा भीमसेनस्थानका जयराम मल्ल उपस्थित भए ।काठमाडौंको मरु टोलस्थित काष्ठमण्डप -मरु सत्तल) अगाडि पूर्वतर्फ रहेको भूतेश्वर मण्डपमा जात्रा गरिन्छ । पचली भैरव नाचको बाह्रवर्षे खड्गसिद्धि जात्रा उपत्यकामा विशेष महत्त्वको मानिन्छ ।गठुहरूको एक समूह विशेष बाजागाजासहित पचली भैरव महादेवको मण्डपमा पुगेका थिए । यसअघि खड्गसिद्धि प्राप्त गर्न हनुमानढोका दरबारको मूलचोकबाट तलेजु भवानीको खड्गसहित जात्रा गर्दै राजखड्गलाई बोकेर समारोह स्थल पुऱ्याइएको थियो ।

पचली भैरवलाई आफ्ना गणहरूसहित टेकु पचली पीठदेखि शोभायात्रा गर्दै समारोहस्थल पुऱ्याइएको थिए । शोभायामा कुचो, जलधारा बगाउन ताँफ, सुकुन्दा र कलः बोकेकी पाँच जना नकींले स्वागत गर्दै पहिले नृत्यनाथको कलश, महालक्ष्मी, -कठितिया महाद्य) त्यसपछि देवीदेवगण क्रमशः सिंहिनी, ब्याघिनी, इन्द्रायणी - मनमैजु), पचली भैरव, भद्रकाली, वज्रबाराही, वैष्णवी, कुमारी, रुद्रायणी, ब्रह्मायणी र गणेश विभिन्न मुद्रामा नाच्दै लामबद्ध भई यात्रामा सम्मिलित भएका थिए । सबभन्दा पछि खीं, ताः, बबु, छुस्या र दुई जनाले पोंगा बजाउँदै वाद्यवादक र नाचको नाइकेहरू यात्रामा सम्मिलित भएका थिए ।

टेकुस्थित पचलीभैरवको पीठदेखि सिंहिनीको हातमा महापात्र, ब्यघिनीको हातमा डमरु, कुमारीको हातमा मयूरको प्वाँख, वैष्णवी -नारायणी) को हातमा गदा र चक्र, गणेशको हातमा बन्चरो र अरू सबैले हातमा खड्ग लिई सबै देवीदेवगण बाजाको तालमा विभिन्न मुद्रामा नाच्दै टेकुबाट, इनाखा, गोफल, लगन, जोशीदेवल, चिकंमुगल हुँदै भूतेश्वर मण्डपमा पुगेका थिए । खड्गसिद्धि जात्रा हेर्न काष्ठमण्डप वरपरि दर्शकको निकै भिड लागेको थियो ।

खड्गसिद्धि जात्राका लागि नवमीको रातमा सबै देवीदेवगणका मखुन्डो पचली भैरवपीठमा लगी जुनजुन गणका मखुन्डो हुन्, ती ती देवीदेवताका मूर्तिमाथि राखेका थिए । विजयादशमीको दिनमा पण्डित बद्रिन्त बज्राचार्यले बज्रयान बौद्ध धर्म तान्त्रिक विधिअनुसार पीठमा सहस्राहुति महायज्ञ गरेका थिए । त्यसपछि चर्या गीत गाउने, जीवन न्यास, आकर्षण प्रवेश, बन्धन, तोषण प्रतिष्ठा आदिकार्य गरी खड्गसिद्धि पूजा गरेका थिए ।

ती सबै तान्त्रिक विधि सकिएपछि देवीदेवताको रूप धारण गरेका नर्तकलाई मखुन्डो, क्लेवर, पोसाक लगाइदिएका थिए । प्रत्येक गणको गलामा गहना, आङमा आधा बाहुला भएको चोलो, कम्मरमा जामा, पाखुरा र नाडीमा बाजुहरू लगाइदिएका थिए । पोसाक र मखुन्डोको रंग देवीदेवताको वर्णअनुसार जस्तो पचलीभैरवको नीलो, कुमारीको रातो, रुद्रायणीका सेतो, ब्रह्मायणीको पहेंलो रंग भएका छन् !

साँखु शंखरापुर नगरपालिका वडानं ७ धुँलाटोल स्थित कलात्मक सत्तल उत्तर, पूर्व मोहडाको झिंगटी छानो मुनि पूर्वी मोहडामा दुई वटाझ्यालहरुको बीचमा कलात्मक तीनमुखे सँझ्याल र उत्तर मोहडामा दायाँबायाँ दुईवटा झ्यालको बिचमा पाँच मुखे सँझ्याल थियो ।

पहिलो तल्लाको पाटीमा कलात्मक खम्बासहितको कवलको अग्राख काठबाट करीब ने. सं. ८१९ साल पछि साँखुका भुजिंपता(भुजिंपुतः) साहु जयशंकर भारोले निर्माण गरिंएको कुरा स्थानिय बुंढापाकाहरुको भनाई रहेको छ । जयशंकर भारो एकजना ठुलोब्यापारी थिए भने वहाँको दाजुभाई हरुले आफ्नो बूबार मुमाको नाममा बिश्वेश्वर महादेवको मन्दिर निर्माण क्रममा राखिएको ने. सं. ८१९को शिलापत्र र साँखु ईन्लाटोलको सदावर्त सत्तल निर्माणको क्रममा राखिएको शिलापत्र ने. सं. ८३६ को शिलापत्रमा क्रमशः हरिकृष्णभारो, कृष्ण शंकर भारो, जयशंकर भारो, बिष्णु शंकर भारो, रत्नसिंह भारो र जयरत्न भारोको नाम अद्यापी कुँडिएको देख्न पाईन्छ ।त्यस्तै साँखु ईन्लाटोलको सदावर्त सत्तलमा कृष्ण शंकर भारो र जय शंकर भारो ले बिष्णु शंकर भारोले आफ्ना नातेदारहरुको मृत्युपश्चात सतीगएकाहरुको नाममा पाटीमा बास बसेका सन्त, महन्त, जोगी, फकीरलाई खाना खुवाउने बन्दोबस्त सहितको गुठी रगठीयारहरुको समेत नामाबलीमा जयशंकर साहुको नाम रहेको बाट धुँलाटोलको “न्हूफल्चा सत्तल” को ईतिहास प्रमाणित हुन्छ ।

त्यस्तो मल्लकाल भुपालेन्द्र मल्लको पालाको आसपासमै निर्माण गरिएको सत्तल पाटीपौवाको सम्रक्षण,पुनर्निर्माण,सम्बद्र्धन गर्नु राज्य, समाज र टोलको पनि दायित्व हो ।

धुँलाटोलको उक्त न्हूफल्चामा गर्मी मौसममा टोलको भजन गर्ने परम्परा पनि थियो भने दिउँसो बुढापाकाहरुको आराम गर्ने, टोलकोसामुहिक कार्यको लागि छलफल गर्ने, जात्राको मेलाको बेलामा जमघट हुने र ल्हासा ब्यापारीहरु साँखु भएर जाँदा ऊ बेलामा ब्यापारी रभरीयाहरु बास बस्ने तथा पाटीको खम्बामुनि ढुंगाको प्वाल भएको कील्लाहरुमा तिब्बतको ब्यापारीक मार्ग को समयमा झण्डै२०१७÷२०१९ सम्मपनि सार्थवाहु साहुहरुको घोडा बाध्ने तबेलाको रुपमा समेत सो धुँलाटोलको “न्हूफल्चा” प्रख्यात थियो ।

त्यसकारण “न्हूफल्चा”को मर्मत, संभार, पुनर्निर्माणकोलागि जागरुक हुनु नितान्त आवश्यक भएको छ ।

२०७२ सालको भूकम्पले ध्वस्त प्रायः भएको उक्त “न्हूफल्चा”को पुनर्निर्माण ले झण्डै ३०० वर्ष भन्दा अगाडीको ईतिहासको पुनर्जागरणहुने बिश्वास लिन सकिन्छ ।

The Bajrayogini Temple, located in Sankhu, Nepal, is renowned for its powerful spiritual presence and historical significance. The temple's origins trace back to the time of King Mandev, who is said to have meditated at Gunbihar, a site near the temple. The temple, adorned with intricately carved stone taps and statues, is one of the oldest religious sites in Kathmandu, dating back to the 4th century AD.Inscriptions around the temple indicate that it underwent significant renovations approximately 500 years ago during the reign of King Pratap Malla. A valuable religious manuscript, written in ancient Newari script and housed in a Danish library, chronicles the development of Bajrayogini, detailing the establishment of Sankhu and the Bajrayogini Fair, which is a long-standing tradition.

Located 2.5 kilometers north of Sankhu, Bajrayogini is a prominent religious site. During the Kirat period, it was known as Gunbihar, a name that reflects the Kirat language and is now near Gunbaha. The temple's deity, Shree Shree Shree Prachanda Ugratara, is depicted with a red face, three eyes, and is adorned with ornaments. She holds a sword and an amethyst, embodying the Bajrayan Tantra. Flanking her are statues named Singhini on the right and Byaghini on the left, with Heruk and Achal adding to the temple's beauty.

The three-storied pagoda-style temple is accompanied by the Dharmaghatu Chaitya and a two-storied Jogeshwar temple, the latter being the only Boudha Chaitya (monastery) of its kind in the world. The temple's history is believed to be even older than that of the Swoyambhu Temple, as per the temple's priest, Shidhiwar.

Surrounding the Gunbihar area are nine caves dating back to the Stone Age. One of these caves, featuring two rooms, is a rare find. Within these caves, priests perform penance, and one cave houses an enchanted stone statue of Bajrayogini. Some of these stone statues have been relocated over time.

The Bajrayogini Fair, held from Chaitra Purnima (a significant day in the Nepali calendar) and lasting eight days, falls around the full moon of March/April in the Gregorian calendar. An interesting legend about Bajrayogini's origin, written in a holy book around 200 years ago, recounts that a five-colored flame emerged from a stone fork, eventually giving rise to the volcanic goddess.

The first priest, Gyanacharya Yogi, who performed penance in the cave of Shidikul Mahabihar, was bestowed with the title of Bachashidi Bajracharya and given Bajracharya Dikshaya (super knowledge). The current priests are descendants of Bachashidi Bajracharya.

The town of Sankhu, shaped like a conch shell and named Shankharapur, was established by Jogdev Bajracharya following an order from the goddess to run the fair in 1801 Kaligat Sambat. The Bajrayogini Service Committee, with support from His Majesty's Government, the Department of Archaeology, trust institutions, and public support, is actively involved in the conservation of this historic site.

साँखु बज्रयोगिनी देवीको विधिपूर्वक कलश पूजा सकेपछि देवीको शिरको तीनवटा गहनाहरुलाई देवी नृत्य गर्ने पात्रहरुलाई प्रदानगरेपछि देवीको शक्ति चढदछ । त्यहाँ शक्तिको भरमा रात्रि साँखुनगरमा परम्परागत डबलीहरुमा देवी नाच नचाइन्छ ।देवी नृत्यको लागि गुठी र जग्गाको व्यवस्था गरेको छ । गुठियार हरुमा नाइके र सहायक नाइकेहरुको व्यवस्था गरेर बाजा बजाउनेसमूह, गीत गाउने समूह, नृत्य गर्ने समूह, कलाकार समूह, देवीगणहरु ख्याक, कंकाल र बेताल नृत्य समूह र उनीहरूलाई मुकुण्डो, गहना, लुगा सजावट गर्ने समूहहरुलाई सहयोगीहरुसमेत रातभर जाग्राम बस्दछन् ।परम्परागत रूपमा देवी नृत्यको व्यवस्थापन गर्नुपर्ने भएकोले भाद्र शुक्ल अष्टमीको कागेश्वरी मेलामा देवी नृत्य निकाल्नको लागि एकमहिना अगाडिदेखि नै गीत, वाद्य र नृत्यको अभ्यास शुरू गरिन्छ । साक्षात् बज्रयोगिनी देवीको शक्ति आव्हान गरेर नृत्य प्रस्तुत गर्नु पर्नेभएकोले धार्मिक विधिविधान पूरा गर्नुपर्दछ ।देवीनृत्य गर्ने कलाकारहरु व्रतबन्ध गरिसकेको हुनुपर्दछ । कपाल खौरनुपर्ने, नियमित पूजामा संलग्न हुनुपर्ने, तालिममा सहभागिता हुनुपर्ने। गीतको बोल र लयअनुसार नृत्य गर्नुपर्ने भएकोले अनुशासनात्मक परिधिमा बस्नुपर्ने हुन्छ यस साँखु देवी नृत्यबारेमा देवी गुठीकाखिंबाजा नाइके कवलका श्रीकृष्ण श्रेष्ठ खानेवालेका अनुसार दैवीशक्ति प्राप्त महिमाबारे धेरै पुरानो देवीनाचको बारेमा थ्यासफुको कार्यगर्नुपर्ने बारेमा जानकारी दिनुभयो साथै देवी भागवत् पुराणको महिमा र शिव पार्वतीको अर्द्ध नारेश्वरको महिमा सम्बन्धी कथाव्याख्यानुसारको देवी नृत्य चलाएको बुझिन्छ ।

प्रत्येक वर्ष कागे अष्टमीको दिन कागेश्वर महादेवस्थानमा ठूलो मेला लाग्दछ । मेलामा विशेषतः गोसाइँकुण्ड, पाँचपोखरीको तीर्थ यात्रागरेका तीर्थ यात्रीहरुले सो स्थानको जल कागेश्वर महादेवलाई चढाएपछि मात्र फल मिल्ने भन्ने जनविश्वास रहेको कारण पनि उक्त दिनकागेश्वर स्थानमा जाने भक्तजनहरुको भिड लाग्ने गर्दछ । मेलामा विशेषतः तामाङ समुदायका झाँक्री विद्या सिकेका व्यक्तिहरूको पूजाआजाको लागि पनि भिड लाग्ने गर्दछ . वर्षभरिमा कोही कसैलाई काग वा चराचुरूङ्गीले विष्ट्याएमा कागेअष्टमीका दिन कागेश्वर महादेवस्थानमा गएर स्नान गरेमा चोखो हुन्छभन्ने कथन रहेको छ । मेलामा आएका भक्तजनहरुलाई कागेश्वरी गुठीले आफ्नो आयश्रोतबाट प्रसाद बाँड्ने चलन थियो हाल आएरगुठीको जग्गा रैकर र व्यक्तिको नाममा दर्ता हुन आएपछि यो परम्परा हराएको छ ।कागेश्वर महादेवको बारेमा एउटा किंवदन्ती कथा यस प्रकार वर्णन गरिएको पाइन्छ । धेरै पहिले एउटा गाईले किसानलाइ दूध दिएन ।त्यसपछि त्यो गोठाला किसानले गाईको चियो गरेर हेर्दा गाईले निङ्गालोको झाङ्ग र एउटा ढुंगाको पहरा छेउमा गई दुध आफैँले चुहाएरचढाएको भेट्टाए । त्यसपछि सो स्थानमा राम्रोसँग खोजविन गर्दा सुनको काग देखिएको थियो । त्यसपछि सोही ठाउँमा तत्कालीनसरकारले गुठी बनाई केही जग्गा आयस्ताको रूपमा राखेर कागेश्वर स्थापना गरी पूजाआजा गराएका थिए । कागेश्वर गणेशकोपादपृष्ठमा पुरानो अभिलेख पाइएको छ ।साँखुमा कागेअष्टमीको दिन देवी, चण्डी र भैरव गरी तीन देवताहरूको नाच देखाउने चलन रहेको छ । यस नाचलाई स्थानीयले देवी प्याखं भन्ने गर्दछन् । साँखुमा नचाइने देवीको नाच अन्य स्थानमा देवीको नाचभन्दा केही फरक रहेको विश्वास गरिएको छ योरातभरि साँखुका परम्परागत चारवटा डवली (चलाखुटोलको देवी व इल्लाटोलको लायकू दबु, धुल्ला टोलको द्यः दबु र साल्खा टोलकोजनदबु) हरुमा र विभिन्न देवस्थानहरू र चोक चोकमा द्यःल्हायेगु र बाटामा समेत नाच्दै जाने चलन रहेको छ । यो नाच चलाखुटोलमापश्चिम फर्काएर नचाइन्छ भने दुगाहिटी टोलमा उत्तर फर्काएर नचाइन्छ त्यसैगरी सुन्टोलमा उत्तर फर्काएर नचाइन्छ भने साहाँगालमा पनि उत्तर फर्काएर नचाइने हुँदा दबलीमा नचाएको हेर्न अप्ठ्यारो छइपाटोल, र ईल्लाटोलमा देवी नृत्य पश्चिम फर्काएर नचाइन्छ भने धुल्लाटोल र साल्खाटोलमा पनि उत्तर फर्काएर नै नचाइन्छ ।यस नाचमा ख्याक, कंकाली र बेतालको अर्को समूहले पनि रमाइलो गरी नाच देखाउने चलन रहेको छ । सायद एउटै किसिमको चर्यानाच हेर्दा खल्लो नलागोस् र देवी नाच नाच्ने व्यक्तिहरुलाई केही समय आराम गर्ने वातावरण मिलोस् भनेर यसरी ख्याक नाचकोव्यवस्था गरिएको हुनुपर्छ उक्त देवी, चण्डी र भैरवलाई पूजा गरी साक्षात् भगवती स्वरूप मानी धार्मिक आस्थाका साथ पूजा प्रार्थना गर्नेगरिन्छ ।नेवारहरूको परम्परागत शास्त्रीय गीत मालश्री र खिं, नायखिं, नाशगोरा, अस्टारा, तिन्छु र माहेलीका साथसाथै अन्य बाजाहरू बजाईशास्त्रीय सङ्गीतको आधारमा यो नृत्य नचाइन्छ बाजा बजाउनेले गल्ती गरेमा खड्ग लिई नाचिरहेको बेला सोही खड्गले उक्त बाजालाईछप्काउने (प्रहार गर्ने) गरेको भनाई सुनिनमा आएकोले उक्त नाचमा बाजा र राग गीतको पनि उत्तिकै महत्त्व रहेको मान्न सकिन्छ । २०७९सालमा नयाँ कलाकारहरूबाट देवी नृतय प्रस्तूत गरियो । यो नाच दशैंको केही दिन अघिदेखि तिहारसम्म र श्री उग्रतारा बज्रयोगिनी जात्राको निम्तो जाने दिन ( जात्रा ८ दिन अघि) देखि बीचाःपूजा (जात्रा सकेको ४ दिन पछि जाने पूजा) नसकेसम्म (२० दिन) देवी नृत्य निकाल्न नपाइने भनी देवी नृत्य सिकाउन पूजा गर्ने पुजारीगुभाजु (बज्राचार्य) लाई चाहिने विधि पुस्तकमा उल्लेख भएको पाइन्छ कागेअष्टमी बाहेक यस नाच नचाउन यदि कसैले नासद्योः(नाट्येश्वर) को पूजा गरी अनुरोध गरेमा रामनवमी र जुगार नवमी (बज्रयोगिनी दिन देखाइने चलन रहेको छ नाच सिकाउन र निकाल्नुअघि हृयाउँख्खा माजु (श्री उग्रतारा को पुजा गरिन्छ नाच सुरू गर्नु अघि देवी चण्डी र भैरवी एकएक वटा हृयाउँख्यामाजुको शिरकोकिकंपा राखि दिने चलन रहेको छ । यसले गर्दा श्री उग्रताराले नै तिनीहरूलाई दैवी शक्ति दिने अनुमान गर्ने गरिएको छ ।यस नाचमा देवी, चण्डी, भैरव, ख्याक, कंकाल र बेताल आदिका साथै राग गाउने र वाद्य वादकहरूको महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका रहेको देखिन्छदेवी र चण्डीले रातो रङ्गको भने भैरवले कालो रंगको मकुट र जामा लुगा लगाउँछन् । उनीहरूले खुट्टामा घंघला हातमा चाँदीको कङ्गन, घाँटीमा ठूलो बुट्टाको सिक्री, तायो र शिरमा ह्याउँख्खा माजुको शिरमा रहने किकंपा (जुन जात्रा पछि फिर्ता

बुझाइन्छ) का साथै विशेष प्रकारले सजाइएको (चुबेकु स्वाँ अर्थात् सुगन्धराज फुल) फुलका साथै अन्य गरगहनाले सजाइने गरेकोपाइन्छ साँखुमा प्रदर्शन गरिने देवीको नाचमा अन्यत्रजस्तो महिषासुर दैत्यको प्रतिनिधित्व रहँदैन र खाली प्रतीकात्मक रूपमा देवी, चण्डीर भैरव तीन जनाले नाच्दै आफ्नो खड्ग ढुङ्गामा छप्काउँदै (प्रहार गर्दै) दैत्यको वध (हत्या) गरेको मुद्राको ज्वलन्त अभिनय गरी देखाइन्छ। यस सम्वन्धमा प्रचलित एक किंवदन्ती अनुसार पहिले साँखुको देवी नाच हरेक वर्ष काठमाण्डौको हनुमान ढोकामा लगी नचाइन्थ्यो ।त्यस क्रममा एकवर्ष हनुमान ढोकामा साँखु र काठमाडौंको देवी नाच बीच जम्का भेट हुँदा साँखुका देवी नृत्यमा दैत्य पात्र नभएको भनीखिज्याइएको थियो । त्यस क्रममा साँखुका देवी गुठीका गुठियारहरुले साँखुको देवी नाचमा साँच्चिकै देवी भगवतीको प्रवेश हुनेभएकोले दैत्यको रूपमा नाच्ने व्यक्तिको शारिरीक रूपमै वध हुने जनविश्वास रहेकै कारण दैत्य पात्र नराखिएको जिकिर गरेका थिए ।तर यसरी जिरह गर्दा काठमाण्डौका देवी टोलीले नमानी ´ल हाम्रो दैत्य पात्र राखेर नचाउन सक्छ ? भनी चुनौती दिएकाले बाध्य भईतिनीहरूको दैत्य पात्र राखी नचाउँदा दैत्यलाइ छुदै नछुवाई आफ्नो खड्ग देवीले ढुङ्गामा प्रहार गरी दैत्य मार्ने अभिनय गर्दा दैत्य पात्र हुनेव्यक्तिको तत्कालै अचेत भई मृत्यु हुन पुगेको जस्तो अचम्मको घटना घटेपछि साँखुको देवी त साँच्चिकै दैवी शक्ति भएको मानिएकोथियो सोही बेलादेखि यस देवी नाचलाई साँखुमा मात्र नचाउनु, हनुमानढोका ल्याउन पर्दैन भनी राजाज्ञा भएपछि साँखुमा मात्र नचाउनेगरेको भनाइ रहेको पाइन्छ

यस नाचको थालनी नेपाल संवत् ९७६ भन्दा धेरै वर्षअघि के साँखुमा सुरू भएको देखिन्छ । एक दिन हृयाउँख्खा माजुले तीन जनाबच्चाहरूको भेष धारण गरी चलाखुटोलको सिन्धु चोकम आई नाचिरहेको बेलामा साँखुका शक्तिशाली तान्त्रिकले देखी तिनीहरूहृयाउँख्वा माजु नै रहेको भन्ने विश्वासमा तारण राखी (तान्त्रिक बलले) समाती अबदेखि वर्ष वर्षमा आई नाच देखाउने कवुल गराईछाडेको र त्यसै बेलादेखि साँखुमा देवी नाच शुरू भएको भन्ने किंवदन्ती रही आएको छ दैवी शक्ति सम्बन्धमा देवी नृत्यको लागिआवश्यक सरसामानहरु गुठीको नाइके (मुली) को घरमा राखिने र त्यसको कोठामा हरेक दिन आरती गर्ने गरिन्छ ।

एकपटक देवी नाच चलाउन नसक्दा बज्रयोगिनीको सम्पूर्ण बाँदरहरु साँखुमा आई उत्पात मचाई दुःख दिन थालेपछि नाच देखाउन ढिलोभएको कारणले यस्तो भएको होला भनी नाच देखाउनको लागि सिकाउन शुरू गरेपछि बाँदरहरु विस्तारै साँखुबाट हट्दै गए भन्नेकिंवदन्ती पनि चर्चित हुँदै आएको छ । साँखुको देवी नाचलाई अत्यन्त शक्तिशाली र उग्ररिसमा ठूलो विध्वंस र खुशीमा कल्याण सुख रसमृद्धि दिने हृयाउँख्वा माजु कै रूप मान्नुपर्ने र मानिआएको पनि पाइन्छ त्यसकारण साँखुको देवी नृत्य साँखु स्थापनाकाल देखि नैअस्तित्वमा रहेको अनुमान गर्न सकिन्छ

नृत्य चलाउन गुठीको व्यवस्था रहेको छ जसले गुठीको जग्गाबाट प्राप्त हुने धान र गुठी भवन भाडामा दिएवापत प्राप्त हुने बहालरकमबाट यो नाच देखाइँदै आएको छ । गुठीले यसलाई मनोरञ्जनको स्पमा नलिई साँस्कृतिक नाचको रूपमा लिएको छ । यसनाचलाई अझै विकसित, उत्कृष्ट र आर्थिक एवं भौतिक रूपमा सम्पन्न बनाउन सकेमा विश्वसाम् नेपाली कला संस्कृतिलाई परिचितगराउन र पर्यटन प्रवर्धन गर्न यसबाट थप टेवा पुग्ने कुरामा कसैको दुईमत रहँदैन ।

The ancient town of Sankhu or Sakwo (original name) is well situated at the crossroads between Nepal and Tibet. The trade route passed through this beautiful town. It was the first resting place after a day's walk from the Kathmandu valley. Tradesmen, travelers and monks going to Tibet and further north and east from Nepal stopped here. This is the last town before the start of the two months' long treacherous travel to Lhasa through the rugged Himalayan ranges. From here the road is risky with desolate mountains. In fact, it is believed that the significance of Sakwo's development as a flourishing town is due to this critical location at this point in Nepal to Tibet route. The convoys starting from here travelled with hundreds of porters, mules, and donkeys carrying supplies and merchandise.

Those rich merchants who had their own houses in Sakwo rested there but others just rented a place for a few nights of preparation for their long journey to the north. There were several resting places called Phalcha or Satah which were free for any travelers. Local people also could use these for resting and socializing. During summer, these Satahs were

Tole in Sakow is one of the most popular resting places for travelers used for the last three to four hundred years.

During the festival of Pancha Dana, Goddess Bashundhara is placed in this Satah. It is believed that this Satah was built by Shahu Jaishankar Bharo of Bhujinpataa in early eighteenth century during the period of Bhupalendra Malla. It is a beautiful two storey building with elaborately ornate wooden carved windows and pillars prominently located.

It is decorated with Sal wood carved windows, doors and columns and is an architectural marvel of the town of Sakwa.

The front façade facing north to the main street reflects the rich carving tradition of Sakwo. The five-bay carved Sanjhya, a masterpiece of the late Malla period, is flanked by two single windows. The top of the middle bay is adorned with an exquisitely carved image of Narayana riding on a Garudha. On the east side facing a dyo daboo originally had three bay Sanjhya flanked by two single windows which were later replaced by a large single window. On the ground floor, there were rows of six carved pillars on the north side and four on the east side. The elaborate carvings on the wooden beam or lintel and the wooden brackets indicate the importance of this Satah. Leading to the top floor is a beautiful carved Malla period door. There are also two niches recessed into the wall and decorated with a highly ornate frame. Niches housed the stone images of Bishworupa Narayana and a Narayana with four arms. Both the images are missing now. The stone

inscription commonly found in such with the initiative of the local people, decorative edifices is also missing.

The building was in poor condition before the great earthquake in April 2015 due to lack of proper maintenance. The roof was damaged, the wall cracked, and woodwork town of Sakwo. decayed. During the earthquake, the eastern half of the Satah completely collapsed. Seven years later,

Shankharapur Municipality is Sealed

Sankhu, All the checkpoints entering the city area will be sealed from today after 12 people tested positive for corona in 290 people in Shankharapur Municipality on Thursday. A total of 290 people underwent RDT at Indrayani Health Center, People's Life Care, Sushma Koirala Memorial Hospital and Ghumarchowk Urban Health Center on Thursday.

Those who tested positive in RDT have been placed in the quarantine of Bal Chhetrya Nepal in Municipality Ward No. 7.Everyone will be kept here until the PCR test report is received. Necessary facilities and meals will be provided by the municipality to those kept in quarantine.

The municipality has stated that those who tested positive in RDT will be sent to the National Public Health Laboratory, Teku for PCR test after collecting swabs this morning. He said that the Kathmandu Valley exit checkpoints from the municipality and other checkpoints connected to other municipalities will be sealed from 10 am today.Until further notice, all entrances and exits to urban areas will be completely closed.

Shankharapur Municipality, Ward No. 7 has published a notice requesting to open a shop in Sankhu Bazaar from 6 am to 9.30 am and from 5 pm to 7.30 pm. The notice also states that fines will be levied if the shop is found to be opened later than that time. It is also stated in the notice that if a person comes from outside the district to stay with a relative or stay at someone's house while he is staying in Lakdown due to Kovid 19, he should immediately inform the municipality and if he does not provide such information, the entire responsibility will be on the house owner.

काठमाडौं। नेपालको प्राचिन तथा ऐतिहासिक नगरी काठमाडौंको साँखु स्थित शंखरापुर नगरपालिकामा ‘कला सांस्कृतिक ग्राम नेपाल’ बन्ने भएको छ । नेपालको सम्पूर्ण कला, साहित्य, संस्कृति झल्किने गरी शंखरापुर नगरपालिकामा ‘कला सांस्कृतिक ग्राम नेपाल’ निर्माण गर्न लागिएको हो।शंखरापुर नगरपालिकाले डीपीआर निर्माणका लागि संगीतकार लक्ष्मण शेषको संयोजकत्वमा जेवी घले, वसन्त वित्यासी थापा र अष्ट लामासहित १५ जनाको कार्यदल गठन गरेको छ । कार्यदलले सोमवारबाट अध्ययन सुरु गरेको छ। डीपीआर तयार पारेर नगरपालिकाले राष्ट्रिय गौरवको आयोजनाका रुपमा अगाडि बढाउन संघीय सरकारलाई प्रस्ताव गर्ने तयारी गरेको छ। शंखरापुर नगरपालिका मेयर सुवर्ण श्रेष्ठका अनुसार, कम्तिमा १० वर्षे योजनाका रुपमा नगरपालिकाले कला सांस्कृतिक ग्रामको काम अगाडि बढाएको हो। १५ जना रहेको कार्यदलले १० दिनमा अध्ययन प्रतिवेदन बुझाउने छ। प्रतिवेदन आएपछि राष्ट्रिय नीति तथा कार्यक्रममा पारेर अगाडि बढ्ने नगरपालिकाको योजना रहेको छ।शंखरापुर नगरपालिका कला सांस्कृतिक ग्राम नेपाल बन्यो भने यो मिनी नेपालका रुपमा रहने छ । यसमा नेपालको कला, साहित्य, संगीत, संस्कृति देखि सम्पूर्ण कुराहरु यहीँ हेर्न सकिने अध्ययन कार्यदलका संयोजक लक्ष्मण शेषको भनाई छ। संयोजक लक्ष्मण शेष भन्छन्, “सम्पूर्ण देवीदेवताका मन्दिर र तालहरु हुनेछन्। यो देशको जिवित संंग्राहलयका रुपमा रहने छ । नेपाल आएका हरेक पर्यटकले यहाँ आएपछि नेपालबारे सम्पूर्ण जानकारी लिन सक्ने छन्।”
