Even though I'm not a pilot, I've always liked the Skyhawk/Navihawk titanium line of Citizen watches. My brother is a commercial pilot and has an older one. He loves it. They are just too cool. But I never liked the fact that they didn't have a backlight for the LCD displays. Well now they do! It has an amber backlight that works great. This watch is the new titanium version of the much heavier stainless steel JY0000-53E that came out last year. Of course the weight of this watch is ridiculously light due to the Titanium construction. For such a big watch, I can hardly tell it's on. I can't stand a heavy watch bouncing on my arm. And be aware, this is definitely a big watch. But that seems to be the trend now (which I like). The atomic time function works like a charm. I also like having world time at my fingertips. I have family members that live overseas, so it's nice to be able to check their local time at a glance. It's great knowing I will never have to change batteries with this watch. The solar-powered "Eco-Drive" is an incredible feature that every watch company should have. The watch has 2 alarms, world time zones (43 cities), solar power, atomic time, a countdown timer, a chronograph, a slide rule, UTC time, a 24 hour clock, ultra-light and nearly indestructable titanium construction, 200 meter waterproof, mineral glass, and it looks outstanding. What more could you want? I think it even does the dishes, bathrooms, and windows. But I haven't looked up those features yet in the 115 page manual (English portion). One thing that's missing is a one-touch feature to bring all hands to the 12 o'clock position to clear the LCD displays during certain times of day. The hands occasionally obscure your attempts to read the LCD's. Another little gripe is you have to pull out and turn the crown to check the date. And it'll show you the date of your second time zone only. You have to do a couple more steps to get your home zone date if your second time zone is across the dateline from you. I think there's a way to set the LCD 2 to show the date all the time, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet. (Correction 4/1/08: I don't think there is any way you can get LCD 2 to show the date.) Forget Rolex, Breitling, and Omega. They might look cool and have their high-falutin image, but they have nowhere near the functionality and practicality of this new Citizen. And they all cost about 10 times more. They are also much heavier. Bottom line: It's virtually indestructable, ultralight, maintenance and adjustment free. I never have to set the time again nor will I ever have to change a battery or put it in a watch-winder (for automatics). I'm a big fan and proud owner of one of the coolest watches on the planet.....By Jeff

I am what many would call a watch nut and own over 30 ranging from Timex to Rolex. For me to buy a watch there has to be "something there" for me to get excited about. At $240, this is one of the very best buys on a fantastic watch that you can find! I was so impressed with this watch I purchased a second one as a gift for my father in law who by the way, was very impressed with the watch himself. Before getting into all the things I like about this watch I want to point out one of the other reviewers posted a problem with the buckle on his watch having some "points" on it that dug into his wrist and made the watch uncomfortable to wear. This must be a factory defect as this is not the case with either of the two that I purchased. While the watch strap is not usually covered by warranty I know from 1st hand experience that Citizen has a dedicated and friendly customer service department and I believe if he contacts them he will find a new strap coming to him rather quickly. Also as to the strap, I have been disappointed somewhat in the past when purchasing a watch and the strap that comes with it is not substantial in length. I have a 7.25 inch wrist and this has not caused me a problem but I would readily notice if someone had a larger wrist they would have to go out and purchase a new and larger strap to be able to wear their new watch. The strap that comes with this citizen will allow someone with a larger wrist than mine to be able to wear this watch with the strap that comes on it. This is very good as I believe the supplied strap is very handsome on this watch. The BL5250-02L is a marvelous little piece of technology at a very good price! At a suggested retail of $400 I have routinely found the watch at local authorized dealers at around $300. My watch was purchased on line for $240 with free shipping and for an additional $5 you could have "next day" shipping. This watch comes to you very user friendly right out of the box. Along with the user manual also comes a mini disk that when played will have you understanding all the features, time settings and adjustments. You will have your watch set and on your wrist in about 10 minutes. Also, if you lose this information you may go to Citizen's web page and pull up the same info on an interactive video. The Echo Drive models have a power cell in them that is charged by available light so there is no battery change ever! The perpetual calendar allows you to set the watch once and then it recognizes short months along with leap years so there is no further adjustment for that. Also, there is a duel time zone feature. I use this for setting the second time zone to address the yearly time change of one hour. Doing this with the simple turn of the dial my watch snaps into Daylight savings time mode and then back with another turn when the time comes to go back. It just does not get easier than that. The rotating bezel certainly may be used for more than just looks. One of the ways I use mine is when I plug a parking meter. I just rotate the bezel so my minute hand moving toward the marker allows me to quickly see when I need to be back at my car. The alarm function works but it is not very noticeable. I have two Seiko's that have a very audible and piercing sound. In this area I have to say Citizen could improve the watch. However, I do notice it if I am awake. I just don't know if it would wake me from a deep sleep. The finish of the watch is very nice and the strap is very comfortable to wear. The watch while feeling very solid is not as heavy as you may would expect and it wears very nicely on the wrist. The watch is advertised as a "deep blue" face and that is an understatement. For all purposes except in direct sunlight it is black. This does not bother me at all because it looks great and again, in direct sunlight it does have a blue hew that looks good also. Besides great function and price another strong point on this watch is the luminosity of the hands and markers. With over 30 watches my Seiko's seem to have a lock on that area but this citizen comes in a very, very close second. After being outside all day I can read my watch all night long from my darkened bedroom. Last but not least, this watch comes with a five year warranty and as I stated before, Citizen has great customer service. I have just touched on the many features of this finely made watch and for you that do not like straps and would prefer a bracelet, Citizen offers the same watch on a bracelet as model number, BL5250-53L. It retails for $500, local price around $400, web price $300. I rate this watch a solid 4 out of a possible 5 stars. I would have given it 4.5 if the alarm were more noticeable. I am very picky and I did not even rate my Rolex 5 stars. I highly recommend this watch and would but purchase it again. In fact, I did when I purchased one for my father in law. If this watch appeals to your eye buy it! Price, functions, ease of use, warranty, and customer service is just icing on the cake! ....By Charles R. Carroll

Monopoly and Cluedo can become a bit tiresome after 20 odd years of playing it each Christmas ... but we will definitely be playing this game at Christmas! You can have up to 3 teams of however many you like in each team and decide on team rules before you play the game. It's a real race to create a playdough model before the other team guesses what their model is! Some of the things you have to create are very bizarre ... cards like 'gravel' and 'atom bomb' came up - very testing! However this game kept us entertained for nearly 5 hours! Well to start off the gold rares are ok and have little resell value but the ones that are good and worth a good penny are Doomcal and Ryko which are both pretty good cards. Now the main thing about the set is the playmat. The playmat is a great and well made mat like the other official ones that go for 50+ dollars and it is a good size and made of rubber. The three mats are yugi, kaiba, and lastly both of them on the mat which can only be found in official tournament stores(look at bottom of box to check). Lastly do not buy if it is over 29.99 as I got mine for 24.99 so good luck on your pulls and have fun with the game By Rick D. Barillas

I have been looking for a second speaker dock for my Iphone for several months and had tried 5 other docks all of which had lack lustre performances at best. Trouble is, I have been spoilt by my Bose docking system that I have had in my kitchen for the last year, and expected to find it's sound quality and depth for half the price, which I had almost given up on, until that is, I stumbled on a little known American manufacturer called Klipsch (little known here in the UK that is), who were receiving high praise from gadget magazines like Stuff!, What Hifi, etc and expecting to be disappointed yet again, I decided to order the Klipsch Igroove SXT WWi, WWi meaning - Works With iPhone, from Amazon, knowing that if I was unhappy I could send it back! The Klipsch arrived promptly 2 days later and I eagerly hooked up my iPhone ready to be disappointed, but no, far from being disappointed, the biggest grin ever came over my child like gadget addicted face! I was blown away! Not only was the Klipsch about a third smaller than my Bose speaker dock, but it sounded just as good, if anything, better. Base is rich and deep without being overpowering, treble is crisp and sharp without being harsh and tinny as on most sub £100 docks, and mid range is equally as good. Power is astounding for something this small and breaks the laws of physics, although for me I will mostly listen to it at less than a quarter volume, as you don't need to drive it any harder to appreciate it's rich tonal balance. It seems to be good with all types of music, pop, classical in particular, and using the Internet radio on the iPhone/iPod is particularly good. All in all I have to give this 5 out 5 for it's sound quality which is what most people want when buying a speaker dock, I have even moved my Bose out of it's pride of place in the kitchen now and put the Klipsch there I am that impressed, as I reckon it has more depth and warmth that the Bose lacks just a little, and therfore it's been relegated to the bedroom! Sounding somewhat like an employee of Klipsch, though I am not! I have to say that if you are looking for Bose quality sound but without the pricetag, I can assure you that the Klipsch Igroove SXT WWi is just as good if not better!!!....By Mr. G. Pearson

I ordered this figure because I am a fan of Halo games and McFarlane's line of Halo figures. This figure has very good detailed paint, and it looks very nice. It comes with a knife, frag grenade, shotgun, and what looks like a pair of binoculars. You can attach all of the accessories to the figure except the knife, which cannot be put in the sheath. The only problem with the figure is that it is very difficult, if at all possible, to make the figure hold the shotgun in a stance that looks at all realistic. I haven't tried for more than 10 minutes, however, during this time, I managed to make his left hand snap out. I was able to snap it back into place, because it was a ball joint. This figure, much like all other McFarlane figures, really shouldn't be used to play with too much, as they are quite fragile in certain places. They cannot hold their equipment with a very good grip either. This figure is very detailed and a great item for fans of Halo to have.By DogByte

The Double Eagle M83 is the best entry level M-4A1 available. With .12 gram BBs it is fairly accurate in 5 round bursts. It shoots around 230fps to 260fps which is plenty if you wait for a target to get in range or are playing CQC. .12s are nice because they are very cheap, but they lack stopping power and can't cut through brush at all. They are extremely safe though, so if you are a parent buying for a younger child, this gun is a great way to get your kid a safe airsoft gun that they will enjoy and and also have them learn the ropes of basic airsoft safety. In a pro-match you wont have a prayer in an open environment but in basic backyard wars, this gun holds it's own and is superior to other entry level weapons. The construction is plastic and the iron sights twist a significant amount when you apply pressure to them but because you won't be engaging enemies at long range, this problem is not that big of a deal. The gun is very light and quick to the snap. The fire-mode switch is plastic but easy to use and sturdier than other models I've seen. There is a secondary safety mechanism built into the main pistol grip (trigger unit) that requires you to be gripping the gun in order to fire. Placing the elastic band the gun comes with around the grip will cancel out this feature (which is what I did). The accessories it comes with are okay, mostly for style. The laser pointer is very (seriously) bright but does not mount very straight on the rail. Mounting it on the bottom rail compensates for this but if you attach the gun strap it will block the laser beam. The forward pistol grip is plastic but it does the job and looks great. I was worried about over twisting the barrel unit by applying too much pressure on the pistol grip. The gun is light enough to not need the grip so I decided not to use it. I do not like the red cross (dot) sight it comes with but my friends do, it is a cheap scope that might normally cost 3 to 7 bucks. I decided to use a 10 dollar red dot sight that I bought separately (and can be easily transfered to new guns) instead. A red dot sight in conjunction with this weapons is very efficient. Do not bother mounting a scope with a zoom, this is an entry level gun and it's not accurate enough to make it worth putting that kind of sight on it. The flash light is, eh... It's unsafe to play at night anyway. The 2 plastic heat shields it comes with are great and cover the RIS rails you don't use so it's smoother on your hand. I think more guns should come with heat shields like this, it's a great and under-rated accessory. Buy extra magazines, they are cheap and well worth it. The magazines are surprisingly sturdy and have never jammed or failed on me (and I own 6). The battery lasts surprisingly long and although it can be a bit difficult accessing it, it is overall much better than other entry level batteries. The gear box is plastic so do not put .2gram BBs or heavier in it because you risk over stressing it. Try to avoid dry firing as well. If you treat the motor well it will last you a while. The charging handle and forward assist do nothing and are locked in place. The hop up is located under the cartridge ejector which flips up and down. The suppressed barrel is great and provides backup for if something were to happen the main barrel. Overall the Double Eagle M-4A1 gun is decent and fun to play with. If anything it looks and feels great. The price is very good as well. Don't waste your money an entry level weapons any more expensive than this, at that point it's worth getting a medium grade weapon with metal internals. By Timothy E. Morris

I don't think I actually look 10 pounds lighter in this suit, as the ads promised, but it is quite flattering. The neckline draws attention upward and the skirt is just the right length. Most importantly, the compression and shirring do a good job of concealing my belly flab. After having three kids in less than five years my belly is definitely not my best feature. this film arrived quickly and fit the camera just fine. however, even though the expiration date said 2009, the film had clearly been tainted in some other way, left out in heat or cold, or something, because the color was very poor and the pictures never really fully developed, maintaining a fuzzy, orange-ish color. Hopefully it was only this batch, but as the film has gotten so expensive and difficult to find, I won't be able to afford risking it again with this provider.

At a range between $7 and $10, this is one of the best values and investments out there. What is it actually used for? A UV filter has two primary purposes: to filter out unwanted ultra-violet light and to protect the lens. For most general photography applications, you will not notice the difference in UV light. Only when you have intense sunlight at a specific angle will you start to notice the UV light. It will not alter your photos and their lighting negatively, so you can pretty much leave this filter on all the time. This filter doesn't do that great of a job in actually filtering out harsh light at the ultra-violet spectrum, but if you're an amateur photographer, you won't need that function. If you do encounter a lot of harsh UV light (you live out in the desert or in Alaska), then you should consider a different filter. As an advanced but non-professional photographer who averages 500 photos indoors and outdoors per week, I have not yet encountered any harsh UV light that this filter cannot block. I use this on my Canon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens, and I pretty much never take it off. This filter will protect your lens from scratches to the glass. When you get smudges (which you will) on this filter, you just wipe the filter or remove it and clean it. It's much easier to clean this filter than the glass on the lens. But the most important part is that this filter serves as insurance for your lens. If something comes flying at your lens, you have a choice of replacing a $7 filter or a $150 lens. It's a no-brainer! Now, this filter is useful for either the amateur photographer or the advanced photographer who has a relatively cheap lens (a $150 lens is considered CHEAP compared to $950 for the Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 IS). If you own a more expensive lens, you'd want to go with a better filter, such as one from Hoya or B+W. But if you own the Canon Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 IS or an L lens, you know that already. All in all, I gave this filter 5 stars because of its great value. If it costs $20, I would have reduced it to 4 stars. Considering its use, you cannot beat this product.
