Naah....Its not like I'm really worried about my absence or that Intellectual Vacuum I've created for the past 1 Year… lolz...But to find a reason to cover up my laziness or rather find a valid samalification(This is what is called as TaNglish) to make my friends forget that I've not written for more than a year. With this new year in the offing,I now have a valid point to samalichufy .

While I was trying to come up with something really good to make my re-entry into the blogging world with a Bang, I recollected the words of "He who must not be named" which goes like ... "Your work is 10% but publicity forms the residual 90% for something to become a huge success "... Now, whom shall I call for re-christening my blog...Hmm... Thats an interesting question ha...That was when I thought about the Grand opening ceremony which took place somewhere in Oct 2006... The reaction was quite unusual when I called up to invite them again. I assumed that they'd be sending me wishes like last time as they might be busy , but this time I did not get any wishes/mails until yesterday when they called me Back. Psst(Perhaps the global meltdown has made their heart to melt)...

1.Till Bates called me up to confirm about the Place and time.

2.Mr.Parry Page wanted a break from his backbreaking task to decipher his own "Page Ranking Algorithm".

3. Mr. Phoney Flair(He renamed himself from being Mr.Bony Flair.. No Prizes for Guessing it right).

4.Mr.Richard Mostinsoup declined saying that he was already in the middle of a boiling soup in the CAVA environment.

5.Mr. Gorge Push demanded that he will be gracing the occasion only If I assure that none of the guests would wear any kind of footwear. I just replied that he should carry on with his busy schedule (If Political Grapevine is to be believed ,Mr Push is now in a dire state, that he wants himself to be pushed from one of the Gorges in the Great Canyon.. No Prize again for guessing why he cant jump by himself ...Come on Folks...Please… Don't come up with yet another game blasting the charts with the name."Who can Push Mr.Push" ) and not to waste his "valuable time" with us.

Hmmm.... While I was happy to get the Publicity, I was worried about the ways to make the Two ends meet.. Naah ..Am talking about the expenses I needed to bear for their travel. How come I could manage it with the salary I get from a company which is smart in "Cost cutting concepts" (They’ve replaced Tissues with Notices to use Handkerchiefs) in the Pretext of "Going Green". Hmmm.. At last... I decided to take up a loan with the JDJDJ bank (with a strong belief that it will go into bankruptcy before they try to snatch the money back from me )
<u4:p>
With great difficulty I booked a date…damn! An appointment with Mr. Hijay Fullya for my master plan…

With great difficulty and repeatedly lying (மனசாட்சிய கிழற்றி வெச்சுடேன் ) that he was the most handsome man in this whole world and the apple (Botanists, please forget your subject for a while) of every woman's eye (Man..I get what you think….Very Big one indeed...) he agreed to my proposal.

Finally, he ordered the Fingkisher Airlines flight, which was all the way touring this world for the mostly sought Fingkisher Swimwear Calendar to pick up these guys from their respective places.
Thank Goodness,I needn worry about entertaining them....They’ve got everything free of Cost.. Now,Isnt that smart cost cutting ... Before your minds race ahead and think Mr.Fingkisher is Dumb.....He pointed out that * Conditions apply clause in the deal meant that "கம்பெனிக்கு நீ கொடுத்த காசு கட்டு படி ஆகாது.. அந்தபுரம் அங்கிருக்க...இவங்க இந்தப்புரம தான் இருக்க முடியும்" ...Yeah..you Got it right... Poor guys..... lolz...

Finally the day arrived...The guests arrived...While i was settling the autowalah, I couldn find the change I needed. While I was about to turnaround and tell him to keep the change....Someone else was there to settle it... It was only then I could figure out that figure...He walked to me and shook my hand and said.."The Change Is here" with a smile... Now isn that a Fitting entry which even our dear Ilayathalapathy would envy about..And a Surprise </u4:p><u4:p>guest too…

I end up with this Note(mokkai for many)... Thanks to Deepa ..

The tag:
Two questions in each category answer them and then tag your friends from the blog-o-sphere. (Simple enough right?) Leave a comment on their blog letting them know they have been tagged and you are all set.

Your oldest memories

My oldest memory dates back to the time when i was in LKG.I was this troublesome child to my class teacher and to amma. Everytime amma met my teacher, Ms.Angel (Truly an angel in my Life ) ,she would hear the same complaints. Before you could open up your guesses, I was one of the notorious kids in my class, but that wasn the reason to worry. I was notoriously silent. Day in and day out,Ms Angel would complain to amma....Your son is not even opening his mouth, Vaaya
moodikittae irukkuthu( She's Anglo-indian),yaarodayum paesavae mattengudhu... Poor people, they didn know that i was the future Oomakottan in the making.... But being notoriously silent isn't easy and the benefits you reap from are abundant. I was like this "pidichuvecha pillayar"(Ippovum Thaan :) ) and hence i would get all the attention in my household. I resembled a doll back then, whoever took me in their arms, i'd never cry and they'll start playing with me while i'd be reactionless. My minimum(Chinnama) called me zandu balm because of that. Maybe amma
and appa knew i would always be serious and hence named me Santhosh so that, happiness would be there atleast in my name..

I was the darling of girls in my primary school days. There are quite a lot of girls for whom i was the reason of pain. It inflicted pain on me too.Lol..Romba Alayaatheenga...As far as i can recollect,at least 3 gals banged into me in the corridor, in my primary school days and i was a constant source of to Appa- I helped him practise stitching (He's a Doctor). But i admired one thing in him. Even though i am his son,his hands wouldn tremble when he used to give me stitches. But sollave venam....Kannla Kaaveri aaru perukeduthu oodum.

One girl whom i never will forget in my life is Archana, who was my classmate in class 4. She was the one who taught me to write "f" . Believe it or not,it took 2 whole days of teaching to make me write 'f' properly.Poor girl, she had all the patience in the world to teach this dumbo. To this day, whenever i write that particular letter, she comes up in my mind... I wonder if i would ever meet her again.

Yet another incident which people still remember is the inauguration ceremony of "preparing home made idlis" for the first time in my household. We were/are one of those middle class families who thought owning a grinder is an extravaganza just because we couldnt afford it. I was very fond of idlis and dosais but my mother used to import the maavu :) from my grandmother's place and hence it would be made only once a while. Later, one day we bought a grinder. My mom looked like an angel to me that day and i feasted on those home made idlis and notwithstanding that, i went around the entire neighborhood announcing.. "Engamma Idli
suttaanga....Engamma Idli suttanga".... To this day,the neighborhood lady makes fun of me because of that.

What you were doing ten years ago ?

I think i was in class VI. I was praying all the while that my Vth standard holidays should get over as soon as possible and i should grow up all of a sudden that i should step into sixth. Hmmmm.. Not for anything that comes upto your mind, but just for the fact that i could get rid of those Ties and I would put on Pants(Trousers ,they say now) :) . And you'll chuck me out if i declare it's real advantages...I can wear two different socks and escape the eyes of our PT master. :) (The reason was that i used to lose my socks often and end up with different sets) . And yet another "would have" been turning point in my life. Deepavali was round the corner and unknowing a rollcape found its way inside my bag. Being one among those last bench guys at that time,we researched on how to burst it. And,beyond doubt i came up with an idea of using a compass to burst them. Everything worked fine but the timing was awful. The class was full of noise since the staff hadn't come and we thought that it was the most opportune moment. But as usual, though our timing was bad,Mr.Saturn's timing was perfect. The moment the compass stuck the ground, entry of the lady staff, pin drop silence everything was synchronous and "Bang" and one bloody fellow shouting " Maaam, yaaro class'la pattasu vedikraanga",,,, And it was my first moment of fame, Hmm...then wad...Kneeling down in front of the new P.T,quite a few lashes and atlast…I was famous for the wrong reasons. But,thank goodness it was shortlived :). Am just wondering if I landed up in the wrong hands. If I had been spotted by Abdul Kalam,I'd have helped blasting off a few missiles and rockets rather than my PL's and GL's blasting me to keep up with the deadlines.Poor India… Epdi irukkka vendiya naan ipdi aitaen.. 

Today
Your first thought in the morning
Yet another week of rushing to office at 6.30 and running to catch the bus for the 90 min journey, just to spend time in hi-fi glass cages in front of a machine.

If you build a time capsule what would it contain?
A handful of people whom i regard the most important in my life,my desktop with internet.

Tomorrow
Hmmm... Playing along with quite a few other associates of my company with a million dollar baby and shutting it down and booting it up treating it something worse than a desktop pc.Thinking deep about life.

What do you see yourself doing 14 years from now?
Hmmm... Kaveri Karai Oram... Few acress of land and doing Industial farming. Koovam Karai Oram...One small room with a handful of Dependable guys running a small software firm..... :)

And I tag.... Prabhu

Destiny

Wherever you Go... You got it right...!
There's nothing wrong with your sight or your thinking.

"The Key to be complete in life is to stay incomplete"

In the outset it may sound highly ridiculous. Trust me..! When this thought struck my mind i thought so too.But Coupling it up with certain observations i found out innumerable reasons to justify my statement.

Don't narrow down your views with the statement inline. Expand your thoughts and you'll find it applicable to all aspects of life.

Staying complete will by itself make you incomplete. A sense of completeness often makes you lift your collars and make you look at the people around you with a sense of pride and make yourself happy by thinking that they're incomplete and you're way ahead. Everytime i feel so,something comes up and strikes me hard and helps me wake up and face reality. It always teaches me the same lesson from time to time.

"Winning is not a very difficult aspect of life but your ability to make winning a habit matters the most."

That's one of the famous proverb.Practically speaking, its all crap.
To put it simply
"எட்டுசுரக்காய் கறிக்கு உதவாது"

Winning is a very bad habit that you'll get addicted to it that makes you feel worthless once you face a loss. Make losing once a while a habit and trust me... "You won't regret".

Be prepared for forceful incompletion. Don't think that you're too good to lose anything. Being too good has its own implications. Don't be too good that people keep you high in position,a possession that is valued too much for everyday usage.
While that happens, the good ones think that you're too good for them and thereby you'll land yourself amidst the unworthy ones.
When are those who are really worth realise this and come out of the folly that they stop avoiding certain things in life thinking that its too good for them to own...!
None of us is an exception. It starts from the Basics...
The middle class who feel underprivileged for certain things thinking that its too good for them.
People in stock market thinking that this stock is too high in value that its not for us or rather it wouldn yield you much.
The list goes on...

Not A Surprise....

I have been amused by the Indian media. They cover(in all senses) and uncover pretty lot of important issues. While uncovering a very important issue which is the need of the hour with atleast ten minute updates with follow ups and debates to analyse the most important head ache of the country, this issue is rightly judged as a not so important news that it hardly manages to find a place in their websites. While there is very little to blame the media for giving the former very much importance than the latter as its been the practise for ages for,the only place where you can find "Education" having a priority over "Entertainment" in India is the English Dictionary and for these media barons "Paisa" finds more priority than the "People" for its why they're here,to reap in profits and that's what is termed Business.

As the tamil proverb goes,
"கற்றது கை மண் அளவு கல்லாதது உலகளவு"
The above is yet another case, many have passed and many are yet to come...

Life Comes a Full Circle?

The ongoing events make me nostalgic and often makes me wonder whether life often comes to a full circle from time to time. I couldn help but laugh at myself ,thinking about the popular punch dialogue in movies seemingly so identical to the state in which i am.

It goes like this,
"வாழ்க்கை ஒரு வட்டம்,
இன்னிக்கு மேலே இருப்பவன் நாளை கீழ இருப்பான்,
இன்னிக்கு கீழ இருப்பவன் நாளை மேலே இருப்பான்"

Memories of the past start to surface up and it often makes me think similar in lines to the theology that everything in this world follows a definite pattern. Whether to blame/complement myself having plenty of time but using it for this may/maybenot worthwhile self-analysis.

I find it very difficult to decipher the pattern of my life,if at all it existed. While, when i feel i have deciphered it a bit, another new one emerges out making my discoveries inconclusive. But the end result so far has been that, though at a point of time i believe the events do not follow the pattern,i've always been wrong and later realise that everything fits in place according to the pattern.

This applies for everything right from my childhood. Having hated mathematics until VII'th,later love it like hell only to be neutralised in my college days. Though i opened my account with an excellent score only to find it difficult to get through in the exams to follow,Thanks to "You Know Who".I neither hate nor am as mad as i was, but i still love numbers.

The same pattern applied to my career. I hated Computer Science to the core but later i found myself to love it to the extent to which i hated it. Falling in line with my pattern of life, now i find it being neutralised, though it doesn mean i hate it or rather love it but one thing is for sure, I am not as insane as i was earlier. It would have done justice if you had called me a Computer Maniac previously but not now, though i still love it as its become a part of my life .

Now that I have been at home for more than 5 months,a big break between the important transition in life. This is similar to the 5 month break i had when there was a transition from school to college.

While I was busy correlating it to myself,i realised pretty late that it applies to everything in this world.
1.The Indian stock market which was ignored few years back,to be celebrated for the past few years and now going through hard times only to recover soon.
2.The great Indian story which was neglected a few years back stating that it wasn possible even in wildest dreams to the present condition that "The Indian Growth Story is Invincible"
3.The Great Indian IT industry which was thought to be invincible only to fall to a rising Rupee as Goliath fell to David. But soon to recoup its lost glory......

This happens to me in all cases. Life coming to a full circle pretty often. But I'm Happy that so far it has been concentric in nature.
Each time it comes to a full cicle and the next one inscribed encloses whatever i have had so far and bringing in more with it but excluding nothing which i had so far. Bringing in more happiness, strengthening the existing one and everything moves around a common point.

Hope,This one also turns our to be a concentric one..!

Now,Thanks for those who have read this post.... Please answer to my question...

Guys, Is this enough to get a M.Phil or a Doctorate for me? Expecting your feedback.....

1two3ty1#11

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5121054909372721170" style="FLOAT: left; While those who don't pay tax seem to reap in the benefits, the tax payers are penalised just for paying their taxes properly.
While tax payers are asked to cough up more for essential commodities like cooking gas, those who don't pay any tax get the most essential commodities like colour TV free of cost.

Isn't this humiliation more than enough for a tax payer?

While the high earners are smart enough to evade tax by making use of every possible way,ranging from illegal money laundering to the legal ways to evade tax such as investment in mutual funds,shares,bonds etc;The middle class is caught in a soup only because of its widespread ignorance towards those acts of deceit.While the tax payers make or break an economy;
Is this the treatment they deserve?
Is this the reward for contributing to the wellness of a society?
Is this the reward for lending support to build this country?

While I am not against the concept of building the nation from the grassroots level which involves empowering the poor, but rather why penalise innocent tax payers especially from the middle-class! Will these freebies empower the poor?
I don't find any link between empowering the poor and providing colour TV's for the poor.Rather We can arrive at a conclusion that the government has short term interests, only to garner more votes. And it is rather disturbing to know that poor people are considered as yet another vote, but not as a valuable human resource....

Turning The Wheels of History......!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_zTi6HuatrCo/Ruv1nuu7onI/AAAAAAAAAAU/Ahq2f19YCEI/s320/2007083061782101.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5110448265090540146" />
"It takes a hundred years to turn the wheels of history", this phrase is true in the case of TATA steel. Starting this venture was not an easy job. Jamsetji Tata needed to run from pillar to post inorder to start the plant as a first step to bring in the industrial revolution into the country.India had already missed the bus with the global economies scaling up their production and their exponential development was only due to industrial revolution in which iron and steel played a pivot role.

But,easier said than done..! That too under the clutches of imperialism.Along the way he had to suffer the scorn of people such as Sir Frederick Upcott, the chief commissioner of the Great Indian Peninsular Railway, who promised to "eat every pound of steel rail [the Tatas] succeed in making". There is no record of where Sir Frederick was when the first ingot of steel rolled out off the plant's production line in 1912. Jamsetji Tata had been dead eight years by then, but his spirit it was, as much as the efforts of his son Dorab and cousin RD Tata, that made real the seemingly impossible.

Hundred years after that, the wheels of history have turned yet again in favor of them with the successful integration of CORUS-The world's 6th largest steelmaker with TATA steel, which was in the 54th position. Rather it can be termed as history repeating itself. With Jamsetji tata achieveing the nearly impossible task of starting a steel company while we were still in the clutches of the british and this time even,it was Ratan Tata who achieved something in the similar scale but in a different perspective. It wasnt an easy task to bid for CORUS with an opponent as aggressive as Benjamin Steinbruch. While it was considered nearly impossible for the TATA's to pip CSN with a majority of global factors against them,it emerged as a darkhorse by pipping CSN only to face investors in the home turf terming it suicidal on their part to bid for CORUS which only helped the TATAs by making its shares plunge into an all time low.

Now, one year after the bid was placed,Tata's have emerged successful in the initial process of integration and declared a whopping 6388Cr consolidated profit and the same investors responsible for its all time low saw its stock rally Rs.60 in a matter of three hours,Yet again proving that
"Its a fickle world out there"....

Striking The Right Chord

Of late,I've been captivated by the concepts behind the commercials on air. Moreover to tell you the truth,I sit in front of the Idiot box just to watch these new commercials cropping up each day ,getting even better and better as each day progresses with their creative thinking. I may sound crazy but i find these commercials more worthwhile to watch, compared to that of the run of the mill programs.

When we analyse in depth, we can understand that the evolution of these had'n been easy and it took over a period of time to evolve.Looking back,a few years down the lane,we could see only the Shahenshah's and czars of a few fields like Bollywood,Cricket in those big budget ads with the Advertisement Agencies and companies running behind them and paying them like hell. but it Did work for a few years. But looking at it now we can find, its not the case today. The most effective and successful commercials don't depend on them anymore. The Industry has proved that it is no more under their mercy.

Lets analyse quite a few of the most Successful Ad's and the only common aspect between them is that, Yeah, you Guessed them right... It does not have Starpower embossed over them.

There were days when Air-tel was running behind Sachin. It was quite helpful for positioning their brand in the competitive environment. But what inspires me About Sunil Bharthi Mittal's Conglomerate is its ability to understand and predict the future. There was a buzz in the media when Air-tel failed to renew his contract. Many even gimmicked that Bharthi had made a wrong decision, while Reliance grasped this opportunity to bring him under their Arm with a misconception that it would create a command over the others in the telecom domain. But it played the Spoilsport.
Look at this Ad.You'll understand that it struck the right Chord.

Banking commercials would normally associate themselves with bringing to light the Services like internet Banking,Loans etc etc. There has always been a misconception that banking needs to be associated only with money, profits etc. But they have terribly failed to realise the emotional bond which needs to be created among its customers. I still remember my Grandfather insisting upon his family members to trust their money with the bank he has been associated for decades. Though that particular Bank had been a learner from others in these cutting edge technologies and other facilities. So This one would be one which demonstrates it.

The ones below are some of the other ad's which are so cute and innovative but yeah, they are quite unnatural or a bit imaginary. But they hit bang on target, serving the purpose of the commercial. My words would be minimal to Describe it.....

Linda Fever......

That was the time the Linda fever was at its peak. Tried my best and applied every bit of my effort..... All to make a Top Spin...
"Mastering the Art of Pambaram Vitting"

I even had a thought of calling up Vijayakanth for tips...But poor guy,he was in a political turmoil then. So yeah, well equipped with a string and the top i started to a vacant place in front of house where i could stealthily undergo the training.
Took tips from everyone and started to apply everything. But net result 0....

Hence i finally decided to resolve the issue applying my Engineering Skills. So sitting down, analysing the planetary data,Gravitational Pull and the earths motion into account ,considering the feedback, changing the angle of inclination etc etc....i started to analyse ,in what all ways i can "Master the Art of Pambaram Vitting"

hmmm....Not to forget how embarrassed i was when kids stared occasionally with a kind of mocking look...hmmm..."avanga Manasula enna Odithho" seeing a grown up guy like me..sitting with a top and the string.....

So here goes my application of physics....

"A rapidly spinning top will precess in a direction determined by the torque exerted by its weight. The precession angular velocity is inversely proportional to the spin angular velocity, so that the precession is faster and more pronounced as the top slows down. The direction of the precession torque can be visualized with the help of the right hand rule. This process involves a considerable number of physical and mathematical concepts. A torque is exerted about an axis through the top's supporting point by the weight of the top acting on its centre of mass with a lever arm with respect to that support point. Since torque is equal to the rate of change of angular momentum, this gives a way to relate the torque to the precession process. The expression for precession angular velocity is valid only under the conditions where the spin angular velocity w is much greater than the precession angular velocity wP. When the top slows down, the top begins to wobble, an indication that more complicated types of motion are coming into play."

While i was thinking so much but could'n finally make a top spin, even after working hard for two days,a girl(must be less than 8yrs) came over there, stared at me with a subtle smile, took a top from her pocket, spun it just like that, then took into her palm while it was still in motion with help of the string. Then oru nakkalaana look..Thats it...Then i decided...

" Ivalo Nadantha Apparamum unakku ithu venamannu "...... hmmm....

In mounam Paesiyathaey style... "Avala Vantha,Avala Nakkala Oru Look Vitta,Avala Pambaram Vitta,Avala kaila Edutha,Avala Siricha....hmmm"

My Experiments with "Pambaram" - I

Quite a Catchy title...."My Experiments with Pambaram" lol.....hmm....wad to do..Thought of writing "My Experiments with truth"...But enakku munnadi Enga Thaatha Munthikittar....

For Those who donno wad a pambaram is...I give u Few options...

Option 1: Its the Tamil Vernacular Name For "Top ".
Option 2: Ask Our Dear Captain Mr.Vijayakanth
Option 3: Google Around

And if anyone feels that it is unnecesary or unworthy to know about it....Sorry...You got it wrong...
Coz... even silly things have great potential and can bring a big turnaround..Eg.... Deep inside,i thought to myself what sitting in front of PC 24*7 had resulted in. But Atlast....I was out of it...Atleast for a while....

Greeenery Everywhere!..... Aahan...Guys Wake up!....Naan Nallavan.....am not talking bout that..I meant the Real Green Pastures which we cannot find out at a place like chennai or wadeva, most rightly named "Concrete Jungle"

A thought Just Striked me...If my position is itself in a sorry state...then wad about future Generations...Laughed inside with a thought that perhaps in future we must explain to our children the results after Googling "greenery " and stating...
"Thambi Ithu thaan Greenery,Ithukku paeru thaan Vayal Vezhi,Ithukku paer than Kalathu medu".....and starting off.....
Long long ago...So long ago..But not so long ago....there existed these things ...lol.... :)

A Soulful Retreat

hmmm....It was again a Visit to my Chithi's Place. But this time,a visit of a different kind and a different purpose which only a select few know about. Armed with quite a few books like "The monk who sold his Ferrari" and "The Alchemist" ,I made a soulful retreat to her place. No PC,No Internet..... It was just me and the only outlet was my mobile

"Microsoft Zune"--- Sewed Imperfect..Atleast for now..

'Zune" is here folks....But not so "Soon".....It took Microsoft nearly Four years to realise its folly in predicting wads in store in the future....hm...As always..Let me point a fe instances!!...

-->Guess who told that a meagre 32KB of memory is the maximum, any application in this world requires to run...hmm...Yeah...u guessed it Right...None other than "Bill Gates

-->Internet wasn considered a potential technology(pre 2K) and its growth wud be minimal(Thou many went the same way...that all were surprised the way it grew and continues to.)...

-->Web 2.0..."Oh Man..Come on thats not going to work out".....hm..But they were soon enough to formally inaugurate it even in India on Nov9...(under the auspices of Mandira Bedi)...haha...

-->Online Spreadsheets(Google introduced)....."Come on man they are crazy"...But soon Microsoft office was put up....

Following the footsteps Microsoft Zune was formally launched today only to get critics comment on it. Moreover some of them make Microsoft a Laughing Stock...Only to expose that it was particular in delivering the product for matching its rivals in terms of quantity but not "Quality"...The main rival here is iPod which has become a household name and even Sony Corp. Tried in vain only to declare its defeat!...

So here's the Laughing Stock

1. Microsoft Zune ....would work only in "Windows Xp" but not in "Windows Vista"...Thats really Cool...So we might have to look out for some third party vendors to create it soon enough..

"Maybe even the Developers of Zune were'nt given Access to its propreitery Vista's code"..Lol

2.It does not Synchronise with "Windows Media Player 11".Thank God...iPod supports all version of iTunes.

3. Bill Gates expression to the fact that Microsoft signed a multi milion dollor deal with a popular Music Content provider was "hm...is that so"...

So Why Cannot it Dent iPOD?

Microsoft's Zune music player has little or no chance of denting Apple's iPod juggernaut and contrary to all the digital ink spilled on product comparisons and reviews most of the reasons are strategic. Apple has built up quite a moat around its iPod business.

Bottom line: Even if Microsoft's Zune is just a first volley,it has a tough road ahead.

ONE : Apple has managed to integrate the iPod into daily life. Today Apple announced it is partnering with Air France, Continental, Delta, Emirates, KLM and United integrate the iPod with in-flight entertainment systems. This development builds on an August integration deal with Ford, General Motors and Mazda and a January partnership with Chrysler. Overall, Apple has wormed the iPod into 70 percent of 2007-model automobiles.

TWO: Apple has critical mass to thwart new features on the Zune. The most interesting feature of the Zune is the ability to wirelessly share and download music.

"There won't be enough Zune users to make this feature really sing".

Apple has sold more than 70 million iPods. It could copy Zune's wireless feature and make a huge impact instantly. "The Zune's most talked about differentiator, wireless sharing with other Zunes, will not turn out to be a significant selling point. If, at some point, there are millions of Zunes in the market, the wireless sharing capability may prove to be a more compelling feature.

THREE: Content partnerships. Speaking of critical mass, Apple has lined up more video and music deals with iTunes relative to Zune's market place. While this moat is formidable it may be the easiest to overcome. Why? The entertainment industry is wary of Apple's clout and it can't hurt to have another big player as a counterbalance. The customer experience may be a little harder for Zune to conquer.

FOUR: The grandmother effect. Ask your grandmom about the iPod and you'll get a response. That state of affairs has taken years of marketing to cultivate. The Zune? Still confined to geekdom and one swell launch party isn't going to close the gap soon.

FIVE: The halo effect (or lack of it). If you believe in Apple's so-called halo effect, which dictates that iPod sales lead to Mac sales the reverse could be true with Microsoft. It's the holiday season and Vista's delay is likely to hamper PC sales. Will that impact Zune sales?

But Folks...That was Really an Awesome Attempt made by Microsoft to Dent iPod...But not Atleast for now..Just play it Safe!!..Kudos To Microsoft!...Hope Bill will succeed his usual way to impose Billings on Us ,To Build and Increase the Vastness of his empire and extend his clutches to all walks of our life!!!

Belling the CAT....

Hm.."Belling the CAT"....Seems a well known phrase. But for me it has meant different.I too considered it easy to Bell the CAT...Cmon man..is that difficult to get 60 on 150.Are these people so Dumb!...hm..only then i Began to Realise.."How Dumb I am?"

Hm..So you can see the above picture. That was my position few months ago.So wad turned out to be a CAT for me at an instant when i had more time has turned out different now..How can I forgot the basics of Biology...Damn."I forgot that even tigers belong to the CAT family"

So no way for me now except to..hope u got it from the picture!!!

hm..Anyway....Last minute preparations are getting along pretty well....hope i will give my Best Shot At it...Hope the tiger turns out to be like "The Bengal Tiger" @ Dada...hm..hope u got it right...
