I will try and answer a few frequently asked questions on making an entry (and a Career) in SAP as a Functional Consultant in India . The answers are based on my observations of the Indian SAP scene over the last 8 years, and not backed by any research. This is a personal opinion and not necessarily shared or endorsed by my employer

This week I visited a software company that specializes in monitoring social media. I discuss how this technology can and should be used, in a disciplined fashion, to identify risks and opportunities to be acted on promptly. I ask whether you are using it, whether you are using it effectively, and why not. Do you agree with my position, and how do you answer those questions?

Is it worth to use Expert Routines? In help.sap.com you can find information: "You can use the expert routine if there are not sufficient functions to perform a transformation. The expert routine should be used as an interim solution until the necessary functions are available in the standard routine. You can use this to program the transformation yourself without using the available rule types" When I read it for the first time I was scared of using it. Now I am using it every time when the transformation is complex or I need to improve loading performance.
