Document splitting Definition

Document splitting enables a complex display of documents. Line items are split here for selected dimensions. This ensures that you can draw up complete financial statements for the selected dimensions at any time.

Using the document splitting procedure, you can also create a segmented display of a (partial) balance sheet according to a legal requirement (for example, IAS) or according to areas of responsibility.

In addition, you can allocate at the time of posting additional costs (such as realized or valuated exchange rate differences) to the CO account assignment objects that incurred the costs. Assets can also be subsequently capitalized at the time of posting.

End to End Setup Guide for Solution Manager EHP 1

Now in the second part of the earlier quoted Multi-part series about E2E and Allied activites, I post here the new setup/configuration guides w.r.t Solutiion Manager SP18 aka EHP1.

Most of the earlier activities in the basic config of Solman were manual, which included RFC generation and the likes, however in the new EHP1 which has now been running SP21, which is nothing more than a bugfix for the issues in SP18 and the later series aka SP19, SP20 the activities have been actually automated, and if you do put your head through the guides, you shall be able to assist the customer better in their handling of Solution Manager pertinent activites. All importantly with Automated RFC generation and testing of even the RFC"s on the Java Stack side being possible with mouse clicks instead of manual traces, SMD implementation is a lot easier.

As always these guides are downloadable from the SAP service Marketplace, and are a good read, and a valuable resource for Basis Nomads like me. What i really enjoy about the new EHP is that the Solution Manager Diagnostics has become easier to implement, well not really but has gone a tad easier to implement without having the implementing consultant wish he was rather buried alive
