It’s like you’ve known them for longer than a couple of hours? Well, this is exactly how I felt with Kate & Rob. One of my most favourite parts of this job is meeting new people, but the added bonus is meeting great people like this couple.
I will say however that one of the worst parts of this job is trying to decide which photos to post!! Kate, you are so gorgeous and Rob, you can definitely sport that cowboy hat!!

Kate & Rob met over their love for horses and are a self-proclaimed cowboy/cowgirl from North Van. :) . So, we felt it was fitting take some shots around Campbell Valley Park and then head down the street to their stable where their beloved Jessie lives. During our consultation, I expressed my crazy fear of horses (it’s a loooong story ;) )    but Kate assured me I had nothing to worry about. I was quite hesitant when I met Jessie, but by the end of the session I was brave enough to pet him. That’s how awesome these two are….they put me at complete ease and put me well on my way to conquering a childhood fear. Thanks, guys!

I had an absolute blast hanging out with you two and chatting about your outdoor, September wedding. It is going to be ammmaaaazzzing and I am so excited to be a part of it! See you soon :)

I cannot believe it has already been almost a month since Lizzy & Ryan tied the knot! It still feels like it was just yesterday that I was looking at a bride who resembled a young Audrey Hepburn and a groom who couldn’t take his eyes off of his new wife. Who could blame him, right?

Mother Nature posed a threat most of the day, but thankfully she cooperated at all of the right times. When I arrived at the house where Lizzy was getting ready…it was dry. As soon as I got into my car to drive to the ceremony…it started to pour. When I arrived at Coyote Creek, the sun came out and a decision was made to go ahead with the ceremony outside. Yay! :) It stayed dry for the whole ceremony (which was beautifully led by Ryan’s dad) and then started to drizzle towards the end of the family formals. On our way to Bear Creek Park for the wedding party shots, it rained again but then cleared up. It just made an already perfect day even more perfect :)

There are so many things I love about weddings, but one thing in particular is when the groom sees his bride for the first time. My heart literally skipped a beat when Ryan saw Lizzy for the first time walking down the aisle. Once her parents lovingly gave Ryan their daughter’s hand in marriage, the two could not contain their excitement.  For the rest of the day they held each other close and continued to say things to each other to make the other laugh. That is one thing I’ll always remember Lizzy telling me…..she said that one of the things she loves most about Ryan is that he is able to effortlessly make her laugh. I can definitely attest to that and I know for a fact that these two are going to make each other giggle until they are old and gray :)

I want to thank you two so very much for including me in your special day. Your beauty on the inside and out takes my breath away and I wish you an eternity of joy and happiness together.

Who doesn’t love karaoke?
Combine the two together and you have a perfect story! That’s right, 3.5 years ago Nina & Morgan caught each other’s eye at the neighbourhood pub’s karaoke night. And since then the rest has been history.
Fast forward to the summer of 2011 when these globetrotters were in Greece. Yup, that’s where Morgan popped the question.
HOW ROMANTIC, EH?
It’s now 2012 and in a few short months, Morgan and Nina are going to say “I do” in the presence of their family and friends at Swan-E-Set. I cannot wait!!!

Look at these two! They are both absolutely stunning and amazingly beautiful on the inside and out. We had a fun evening hanging out at the beach and they were both complete naturals in front of the camera. They fit together so perfectly. They make each other smile & laugh so effortlessly. They are crazy in love and I LOVE it  :)

Thank you two so much for such a great session & thank you for putting up with my Selma like voice ;)  I am definitely looking forward to your wedding in September. YAY!!!

She is currently here visiting her family & her besties, in addition to introducing everyone to her new, beautiful baby boy, Gage. She contacted me a few weeks back letting me know that she was going to be in town and asked me to snap some photos for her. Of course I jumped on the opportunity and boy oh boy….as soon as I met lil’ Gage I fell in love with his massive eyes!!! You’ll know EXACTLY what I am talking about as soon as you check out the images :)

He was a dream to photograph and so was his mama! I mean…..look at how FANTASTIC Jenn looks for just having a baby!

I went digging through some old albums and found some oldie, but goodie photos of my mom and I. Look at how gorgeous she was…especially in the photo of us in the hospital when I was only 6 days new!!!! On the back on the image she wrote “England – July 27th, 1977. Sara, as usual, wide awake.” Sorry, mom ;)
Mom, you are more gorgeous now and I love you to bits. Thank you always for EVERYTHING!!

To all of you other moms…have an amazing day surrounded by the people you love! Relax, you deserve it!
