I shot this when I went to Chicago with my family this summer. It was the first time I'd ever been there and I fell in love with the city. I hope to go back there someday soon. The girl on the train is my cousin Sarita. The music is a cover of "Over the Rainbow" by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes.

I'm going to do this thing where i do a bunch of different vlogs each showing a different person in my life. Today, it's Mr. Dehart (AKA De Corazón, Shaggy D, and some other nicknames i can't remember right now.)
Dehart is an English teacher from my school. He's teaching a 2 week "english minicourse" which is this thing where in 2 weeks out of the year, all the english and english elective teachers teach a 2 week minicourse on pretty much whatever they find interesting and the students get to choose which teacher they want to have during those two weeks. Mr Dehart is teaching "The History of Breakdance". Mr. D also makes an appearance in my first vlog "mexico".

this is about 45 minutes of video sped up to about a minute and a half, i had another tape too but i was having trouble capturing it. i'm going to attempt this videoblogging week 05 thing, we'll see how i do.

I went with my friends Pablo (also my SAY Si instructor) and Victor to a Ford Dealership in Floresville, TX to shoot some commercial dealing with American Idol and Ford Focus... i never did figure out exactly what it was for but it was fun just to hang out with them.

my little sister, Emily just set up her first videoblog actually it's the first video she's ever made. I taught her to edit it on final cut pro. She caught on so quickly that later, when my mom decided she wanted to learn too, Emily stepped in and helped teach her!

it takes up too much time! i never get to do what i want to do. i'm so bad at concentrating it takes me all sunday just to thouroughly read the weekly chapters for AP U.S History. i'm supposed to be researching colleges and scholarships in my spare time. but i hardly ever have any spare time. today i couldnt find my history book so i printed out these course note things but i only read the first page. i felt too lazy to do anything. i just kept getting distracted by watching vlogs and watching TV with my family. so that means i'll be failing another quiz tomorrow. i was supposed to clean my room but that didn't happen either. i dunno, writting this is just making me feel worse so i'm just gonna go to bed.

well, i was hoping to put a video up onto the internet archive so it could start processing tonight but for some reason, FCP unexpectedly quit and i was set back about 20 minutes of work cause i hadnt been saving so i had to find the autosave vault which i stupidly forgot to reset when i started the video and when i realized i needed it, i couldnt find it anywhere! i finally found it, but its still gonna take a while to get it up onto internet archive and get a picture on there too. (i still dont have a flickr acount) so, i'll get that finished and up sometime this week hopefully..

i was hoping to make a new video and get it up by this weekend, but it doesnt seem possible. i dont even have any tape! i'm going to try very hard to get some tape and firewire cable maybe tomorrow. that way i can start making a "video self portrait". something my art teacher recomended i do instead of the normal painting and drawing assignment he's having us do.

w00t!!! i think its really a video blog now!

well, i dont think that helped any, 'cept i finally got aroung to downloading firefox. it'll take some getting used to, its a little different from safari. but its faster and as long as i have tab browsing and simple pop up blocking i'll be happy. :)

i just bought my 160 GB Maxtor external hard drive! i now have everything i need to take oVER THE WORL- i mean-create a video blog.. oh. except a firewire cable! how could i forget the firewire cable!?
