This is not the first book I've read from Katy Evans, having read the Real series, I expected a lot from this book. Let me just say, it does not disappoint.

One of the big things that makes me love Katy Evans is her writing style. I am in awe at how well she is able to get across the page the emotions of her characters. The first feelings of falling in love, the butterflies when someone is nervous, the way she writes it all is so realistic that it feels like I'm right there with the characters.

Let's talk about the story. When I read the synopsis of this book it was pretty obvious what was going to happen in the story, and that's okay. I quickly fell in love with Rachel. She is passionate and driven when it comes to her job and is willing to do anything to save the company she loves. However she is not perfect, she has many flaws and that's what makes her believable to me. She may not be the strong heroine we all want in our stories, she has insecurities and makes mistakes but she doesn't let them control her.

Malcolm Saint. DAMN. HE. IS. FINE. Katy Evans is a master at descriptions of characters, so when Malcolm Saint is first described, oh lordy. He is also the most caring, perfect, awe-inspiring male ever. He is absolutely not like I expected. He isn't overly cocky or arrogant, he's Malcolm, that's the only way I can describe him. You have to read this book to understand what I'm saying!

Malcolm's friends, Tahoe and Callan were equally sexy and funny. They act like teenagers when they get together but they're loyal to each other. Some goes for Rachel's friend, Gina and Winn. Gina is the level headed "protects her heart from guys" chick while Winn is the hopeless romantic.

Malcolm and Rachels relationship is bitter sweet to me. As they got to know each other I fell in love with them. I loved that he didn't shower her with gifts to impress her instead he reveals bits and pieces of himself that I couldn't wait when they got together again to find out more. But knowing what had to happen broke my heart every time I they had a sweet moment. It honestly took me a week to finish this book because I was dreading the inevitable.

This book was everything and more that I wanted it to be. It was also refreshing for once to have the female be the one who messed up instead of the male. Katy Evans hit a home run with this one and I can't wait to read the sequel! Malcolm Saint stole my heart. 'Nuff said.

Am I The Only One?

When I look for new books to read, it can take me minutes, hours, days, months, you get the picture.
It completely sucks because this means I can be stuck in a reading slump forever. Why does it take me so long to pick a book? Let me tell you.

First off, I like to read series. It keeps me entertained and hooked where as a stand alone ends too quickly. I have thins quirk of mine though, that the series needs to have a little romance but the most important thing is that the ending needs to be resolved. There is nothing more frustrating to me when a series is left with an ending that's left hanging, left up to the reader, or just unresolved. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I also would like for the series to end with the main character ending up with the love interest that I was rooting for, yes I know that's not up to me, but I can live without this. What I can't live with is when the author kills the main character in the last book. WHY?? Why would they do that? I invested so much time and emotions, I have fallen in love with these characters and then BAM they snatch it away. AHHH it breaks my heart.

So there's a few series that I'm considering reading. They have all the issues I described above but sometimes it's worth it... and sometimes it's not.

Between The Devil and The Deep Blue Sea Series- the ending is like a cliffhanger...

The Raven Boys Series- this one kills me, because we all know what needs to happen. And it kills me. I don't know if I can emotionally get through that, so I don't want to fall in love with these boys and then just have it all fall apart.

Uh, I sound crazy but I love my books and I don't want to be heartbroken. Am I the only one who gets this invested in what they're reading? Or am I just crazy?

What should I read?? Help!!

The story picks up where the second book left off and it starts with a bang...literally. I really wanted to give this book a higher rating but I had a few issues with this story. I wish it would have been a little longer but I could have gotten over that but the actual issues comes from the story.

I had major issues with Blake and Erica's relationship. I was under the impression that Blake was okay with Erica being his "submissive" in the bedroom but she was free to be her own person when it came to her business. Well that flew out the window. Whenever Blake wasn't able to control Erica and her business he went crazy, manipulative and down right mean. In a way I would have found it hot the way Blake wanted to take charge of the situation to help Erica but instead he was an ass and wouldn't even compromise with her.

I guess my biggest issue is that Erica can't live without Blake and she did anything he wanted in order to keep him. Seriously, what happened to strong independent Erica? She sacrificed EVERYTHING to make Blake happy and get him back while Blake, sat in his office waiting for Erica to give in. That is not okay with me. There needs to be a compromise from both sides for a relationship to work.

The book is not all that bad, aside from those issues, which begins at the middle of the story, Blake and Erica's relationship is heartwarming. The way Blake feels for Erica just melts my heart, and the sex...is steamy.

I wish it was longer because I felt like we didn't get anywhere with this book. There is a new twist introduced into the story but it's on the last page and then the book ends. It felt like I sort of wasted my time with this book because all I read was a bunch of lovers quarrels and in order to move on with the story I need to pick up the fourth book.

I will be picking up the next book in this series, I just hope we get a little more of the story and not just fights.

This book is hands down amazing. I actually bought this book to keep me busy while I waited for a new release on Tuesday and I am so glad I did. This is the first book I've read from Callie Hart and I am now a huge fan!

This book is dark and violent, yet erotic and sinfully beautiful. Pretty complex huh? It's so hard to put into words the many layers that this book has. The concepts are not the pretty cookie cutter types, they're violent and realistic, the characters are far from perfect and that's what makes this story so great.

The story is centered around Sloane trying to find her sister who was kidnapped two years ago. Sloane will do anything to get her sister back, and I do mean anything, and that's how we meet Zeth. I loved watching Sloane's personality grow through out the book. After everything she goes through she can no longer be the sweet naive woman, she has to become a strong willed person to survive.

Now to the best part: Zeth Mayfair. He is drop dead sexy as sin. Zeth is the definition of bad boy and he doesn't disappoint. What is so great about him is that even though he's a ruthless killer, he is protective, loyal and so honest. Zeth has a hard exterior and his emotions are as impenetrable as a steel wall. He loves kink. Yes you read it right, he loves his kink. He carries around a black duffle full of mysterious things and you know when he pulls that duffel out that it's gonna get pretty steamy. There is also a whole cast of side characters that play in important role in the story but the best one has to be Michael. This man, one word: LOYAL. I need my own personal Michael, and Zeth of course.

This story is a rollercoaster of emotions. There is violence and death and it's not all rays of sunshine. However the light in this book is Zeth and Sloane. Their relationship is one to aspire to. They complement each other so well and accept each other for who they are. So many books these days focus on one person trying to change the other but that's not the case here. I guess what makes this one of my favorite books is that even after finding solace and love with each other Zeth is still loves his kink and Sloane is still that strong woman.

It's my first book from Callie Hart but it won't be my last. I would recommend this book to anyone who's looking for some action, an alpha male lead and a strong willed woman who will knock him off his feet.

What can I say about this book? It's AMAZING, duh! This is the second book that I've read that takes on the story of Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, the first being Alice in Zombieland. In my opinion, I liked this one more. Howard creates a world of fantasy and adventure and the writing style makes you believe what you're reading is real.

Alyssa is the perfect heroine. Her life is far from perfect but she finds a way to deal with it all. She doesn't sit in a corner and cry when things go wrong, instead she is more determined to make her life better. I loved Alyssa's personality, for a teenager she wasn't overly whinny, she's brave and determined and dealt with the situation of Jeb with maturity (honestly I yelled at Jeb more than she did). Alyssa is a true kick ass heroine.

Jeb. I like him and I hate him at the same time. At the beginning of the book he was not my favorite person, in the middle I respected him and at the end I liked him. He's brave and protective of Alyssa but has issues when it comes to that (especially at the beginning). Despite his faults at the beginning, Jeb truly has Alyssa's back and would do anything for her.

Jeb would be the perfect love interest if it wasn't for Morpheus. Oh dear baby Jesus. I could not stop smiling and fanning myself when Morpheus first turns up. WOW, he is sexy, mysterious, charming and dangerous. I can't not love him. Morpheus had my feelings going like a rollercoaster. When it comes to Morpheus I felt love, hate, pity and sadness all in one chapter. Despite everything, I truly want to see him with Alyssa...sorry Jeb.

Overall, I loved that Splintered has elements of the original story tale but with a dark twist. Howard paints a world of dark fantasy and makes me wish it was real. I can't wait to pick up the next book and see where Howard takes these characters, more specifically Morpheus.

So this was my very first zombie book. I won't lie, I was a little skeptical at first, I mean really, zombies? I'm glad I picked this book up! It was refreshing and full of action packed scenes and of course a slow building romance.

What I really enjoyed about this book is that Gena Showalter kept the zombies as zombies. Usually the creatures of then night turn out to be the love interest or they turn out to be good instead of evil but in Alice in Zombieland, zombies are bad, period. The originality of what zombies really are was a refreshing twist on the decaying walking corpse.

Now, to get into the characters. Alice: I liked how she was able to turn her grief into something useful, it gave her a purpose. She didn't wallow in self pity for long and that, in my opinion, was good because it gave us a more fast paced story. Her determination to avenge her family made her strong and nothing deterred her, and that in itself makes her stand out from the typical "I need saving" heroine. Cole: my oh my. Tall, dangerous, tattooed, bad tempered. What more can you ask for? Oh yeah, fiercely protective. *SWOON* He's a bit of a hard-ass at the beginning but he has reasons and to say he is fiercely loyal to his cause is an understatement. The only issue I had with Cole and his group of badasses was that the way they were described as reminded me of someone that was 22 or older when in reality they were 17. There are a lot of characters in this book and each one has their own personality. You'll love some and you'll hate some.

Over all the book was fantastic and different. If other books about zombies are like this, then I'm diving straight into the zombie genre train asap!

HELLO STRANGERS!!!

It has literally been a year...maybe less...maybe more? I don't know I've lost track of time. BUT it has been way too long since I've posted anything and I blame school for it all!

Luckily I've started my winter break and I'm hoping to start posting again!

So I've been wanting to do something a little different with this blog. It's still going to be a book review blog but I also wanted to blog about my life, what's going on around me just as much as I want to blog about books! Sounds good? Yes? Okay then!

Please hang in there with me, I'm trying to sort out my life since I will be graduating soon and heading to bigger things so I want to be able to still post and do all the things I love. I promise I will be posting new material up probably later tonight for starters and as the days pass I will add more things!!

I have followed this series from the very beginning and to have the final installment in my hands....it's indescribable. The wait was long, but it was so worth it!

The Mortal Instruments is by far my favorite series of all times. Each book was even better than the last so I was expecting great things from COHF, and I was not disappointed.
COHF starts off with instant action and it does not let down until the very end. We meet some new characters, yes I know, you would think we wouldn't since it's the last book but I feel it was Cassandra Clare's way of leading us to her new "Spin Off series" (I guess that's what you would call it?) and I grew to love these new characters just as I love the whole gang.

I will say this, a lot of deaths occur. You can kind of foresee this since Clary is wearing white on the cover and white is the color of mourning for the Shadow Hunters. Their is loss, heartache, love, and even redemption and its mixed into a whirlwind of action.

I was most excited to see Jace and Clary interact. I mean common we've been expecting something to happen between them for so long, it's just a matter of how it will happen. Jace is as imperfectly perfect as always and Clary is beyond the most amazing heroine I have ever read. The chemistry between them is phenomenal and the way that they balance each other makes my heart sing. My only problem with this book was that I wish there were more Jace and Clary time, I feel like they were pushed aside because of all the action. Don't get me wrong, there are scenes between them that will make you want to cry, laugh and even love them more.

The book wraps up nicely in the end, with everyone getting closure to their problems (Magnus and Alec, Isabelle and Simon, Mia, Raphael...). The book was hands down amazing, and my favorite book from the whole series. I highly recommend you pick COHF up and if you haven't read the series... PLEASE DO SO! Cassandra Clare, you are amazing. Post-Apocalyptic novels make me tread with caution; I never know what to expect. Reading the blurb however, I was intrigued, and let me say that I was not disappointed at all!

I went through a roller coaster of emotions with the main character: angst, anger, compassion, you name it! Lizzie is a troubled girl, we can expect that since it's in the blurb, but it is so much more than that. She is complex person, but given everything she went through, it wasn't hard to feel for her. At one point I felt like I could relate with her.

What I loved most about All is Silence, is that it got down to the most basic concept, survival which I feel like now a days most post-apocayptic novels loose this concept over the course of the book. All is Silence made me question myself, it made me put myself in the characters shoes and see things from their perspective. It basically made me reevaluate my concepts of right and wrong.

There's a semblance of hope throughout the novel and you can't really help but hope that things will work out in the end. The first part of the book was awesome and the second part was just as good but I didn't like the cliffhanger. But I mean who does?! At least we know that there is a set up for a second book and I am looking forward to it!

Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

If you follow my blog, you should know that I'm not a big fan of dystopian novels. I'll read them if they sound really interesting but other than that I tend to stay away from them.

I waited a long time to read this book because I wasn't sure if I would like it...well I was right. I don't like it, I LOVE IT!

Tahereh Mafi created a spectacular novel full of action, despair, anguish, hope, and yes love. All the characters are not who they seem and that just adds a level of mystery to this novel!

Juliette is a great heroine. She is strong and all around good, despite everything she's been through. In the face of destruction and the world falling apart, she held it together pretty well. She's not perfect, which is why I love her so much. She get's shy, she feels angry, and even when she swoons for a boy who is evil, she knows he's not good.

Adam was interesting. He's complicated yet he knows what he wants. The way he cared for Juliette and the reasons for it were heart warming. However, I found it really strange how he would do anything, and I do mean ANYTHING, for Juliette. I feel like their relationship, friendship wise, should have developed more.

Warner...I love and hate him. I hate how he gets a kick out of watching Juliette torture people. But at the same time, I love how he cares for her after. Kind of twisted I know but, hey I can't help it. I can see that Warner truly does care for Juliette. It may be because he thinks that they have a lot in common but that is just what started the development of his feelings for her. I'm hoping that as the story goes on, Warner will see that his way of showing Juliette he cares is wrong and he'll change. By the way, did I mention how gorgeous Warner is? Well he's stunning!

I'm definitely a team Warner girl, and just like Warner, I'm patient. I will wait patiently until Juliette sees Warner the way I do.

Tahereh Mafi has made a unique and wonderful story. If you aren't hooked on this series yet, I suggest you go out and get it ASAP!

I haven't read much Fae books and those that I have were nothing compared to this one.

We start off with MacKayla, Mac for short, heading off to Dublin to figure out who killed her sister. In her search, Mac runs into all sorts of weird things, a man that turns into a monster, an old woman who threatens her, I mean how bizarre is that?
Things don't get any better when she meets Jericho Barrons. This is where the books takes off. Mr. Barrons isn't just your average book store seller, he knows all about the secret world of the Fae and helps bring Mac into this world and teaches her everything about it. The story is full of action, mystery, and suspense and doesn't let up even on the last page.

Mac was an awesome heroine. She is willing to do anything to discover what happened to her sister, even entering the dangerous world of the Fae. I loved that she didn't let Barrons push her around and that she had a backbone. My only complaint is that when it came to her wardrobe, she was a child. I don't know if the author believes that the way Mac dresses is "grown up" but I, personally, did not like the way she dressed; Too much pink.

Jericho Barrons was a mystery the entire book. We don't know what he is, if he is one of the good guys, or what his intentions really are. I liked that we didn't really get to trust him until halfway through the book, it gave us time to decide, by his actions, if he was really trying to help Mac.
Is Jericho Barrons sexy? Controlling? Alpha Male? ABSOLUTELY! I loved his dominating attitude, it made me swoon every time he spoke! Ugh, love him!

Karen Moning built an excellent world of mythical Fae full of mystery and darkness. The world-builidng was awesome, the characters are perfect, and I seriously would recommend this book to anyone that's looking for a little paranormal mystery.

At first, Sienna brushes them off, keeping Lucas in the dark because Sam is bad for his music. But after Sam’s contact turns personal and violent, Sienna has no other choice but to confront Lucas. If she’s ever going to understand the twisted pull Sam has on him, she has to know his secret. But when he finally reveals it, will they be able to survive the consequences? Or will it tear them apart, consuming them?

It's finally out!!! After months and months of waiting we finally get to see what happens to Sienna and Lucas. I gotta say, after all the waiting and the building angst, I was expecting this book to be phenomenal. I'm a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I liked the book, but after all the anticipation and waiting, it was not what I was hoping for.

Consumed starts right where Devoured left off. Sienna and Lucas are reunited and after some coercing, she agrees to go on tour with YTS and be their "wardrobe consultant". Everything is fine and dandy, we have the occasional Cilia jealous fits but that nothing major. Then Sienna starts to get letters and gifts from Lucas's crazy ex-wife Samantha.

Now, from everything we know about Samantha, I was expecting some major drama...and I think that fell a little flat for me. I wanted drama, angst, a little bit of frustration and sadness but nope, that didn't happen.

The main mystery of this Devoured series is that Samantha knows something about Lucas. So most of the story is about trying to get to know what that is. We don't find out until 3/4 of the book AFTER something major happens to Sienna (which reminded me of Music of the Heart by Katie Ashley btw) and that was a big relief for me. Not because of what the secret was but because it was something unexpected and at this point in the book I needed something shocking!

My biggest let down was the ending with Samantha. I mean COME ON! After everything that happened because of her, you're gonna give us that closure about her? It baffled me.

Aside from all that, Sienna was great, glad she grew a backbone and was able to stand and fight for herself and Lucas Wolfe was just as sexy, dreamy, and naughty as ever. I swooned every time he spoke, sigh...

Over all I'm happy that Sienna and Lucas got their HEA and sam and cilia are out of the picture. It was a good conclusion for the series but I just wish I would have been a little longer and had something grand in it. Even then, thank you Emily Snow for giving us Lucas Wolfe! <3

Love is like an avalanche. It hits hard, fast and without mercy.

At least it did for me when Sculpt, the lead singer of the rock band Tear Asunder knocked me off my feet. Literally, because he’s also a fighter, illegally of course, and he taught me how to fight. He also taught me how to love and I fell hard for him. I mean the guy could do sweet, when he wasn't doing bossy, and I like sweet.

Then it all shattered.

Kidnapped.
Starved.
Beaten.
I was alone and fighting to survive.
When I heard Sculpt's voice, I thought he was there to save me.

I was wrong.

Dear Lord. I was so not expecting this. The novella was sweet and romantic and then this story did a 180 and went in a whole new direction. It's dark, scary, and hard to read, well most of it is.

The first half was difficult to read but at the same time I couldn't but down the book. I hated Sculpt, I wanted to crush his head and kick him while he was down...that's how angry I was. But even worse? I started to hate Emily as well.
Honey, you're being tortured, humiliated, and beaten, why in the world are you feeling "lust-full" to the man that brought you to this situation? I wanted to slap her so she could see what was going on around her.
There's a difference in complying so you'll survive and being dumb and wanting someone who has harmed you. Ugh!

"You will fear me, Emily. And if you don't…I will make you."

But like all great authors, Rose turned us around again and soon I was starting to forgive Sculpt. I know it's like whiplash!

In the second half, you find out why things happened the way they did but even with the explanations (I won't give those away) I wasn't totally convinced they were justifiable. But that's just me.

Emily finally grows a backbone, Hurray!, and learns to trust those around her. It was great to see her mature and not be as whiny as she was in the novella. We have the old Sculpt back and he's just as swoon worthy and sexy as ever.

"What we had, we can't get back, Sculpt."

"We can, 'cause it never fuckin' left."

There's plenty of action, love, crying and redemption in Torn from You and even though the first half I loathed, the book was exceptional. I recommend this for everyone who wants to try something a little different, and out of their comfort zone.

Sculpt is an illegal fighter.

He’s also the lead singer of a local rock band.

And from the moment I met him, he made me forget mine.

In order to convince Sculpt to give me self-defense lessons, I had to follow his one rule—no complaining or he’d walk. I didn’t think it would be a problem. I could handle a few bruises. What I hadn’t anticipated was landing on my back with Sculpt on top of me and my entire body burning up for him.

I tried to ignore it.

I failed of course. And having a hot, tattooed badass on top of me week after week, acting completely immune to what he was doing to my body—it was frustrating as hell, so I broke his rule—I complained.

Then he kissed me.

SWOON...so much sexiness! This is a short novella that comes before the actual story, Torn from You.

The romance was pretty quick, but considering it's a novella I expected that. My only problem with this story was that I felt like the author combined two really popular concepts at the moment and threw them into the story: Rock star and Fighter bad boy.

Emily, I liked her, I didn't love her, I just liked her. She was a timid, self doubting girl through out the whole story. I get it, but come on, have a little faith in yourself. It get's tiresome after awhile.
I gotta say though, I loved Sculpt. He was a good balance of mystery, bad boy, and all around sweet. He was delicious! Every time he would speak, I listened.

"I'm a fighter, Mouse. And I know what I want in life, and I'm not scared to take it. I want you. I'm not walking away from you."

"Emily. You're a fuckn' trophy. My trophy."

Major swoon...I NEED MY OWN SCULPT!

Overall it was a short introduction to the main story that I recommend you read before because you'll understand Sculpt and Emily's relationship a little better.

I wanted to share with you a few books

that I fell in love with in 2013.

Origin (Lux, 4) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Who doesn't love a broody,sexy, love sick Damon Black?

This book was fantastic, the love story is just heart warming and I can honestly say that this is by far one of the best series I've ever read!

Sweet Peril (The Sweet Triolgy, 2) by Wendy Higgins

Forbidden love, bad boy drummer, and restrained lust...makes me swoon just thinking about it! This series takes a different route than your typical angel stories and it doesn't disappoint! I can not wait for the final installment. I love Kaiden Rowe!

Fallen Too Far (Too Far, 1) by Abbi Glines

This whole series...wow. It was phenomenal! Yes there were times where I wanted to punch a few characters (Rush*Cough*Cough) but in the end he really was the perfect guy. He is the first non mythical character that I wish existed just so that I can kiss him! :(

Rush and Blaire's story was beautiful as it was frustrating and worth all my time! If you haven't read this series I whole-heartedly recommend you do ASAP!

Real (Real, 1) by Katy Evans

Remington Tate...I LOVE YOU. I wish you were real because I want you to be mine!! AHHH He is absolute perfection: alpha male, possessive, fighter, protective, and sweet. What more could you ask for? This story made me swoon, laugh, cry, broke my heart and then put it back together. It's perfect.

Mine (Real, 2) by Katy Evans

The sequel to Real. It surpassed its expectations. Remington and Brooke, they are beautiful together. There story continued with love and heartache but when they are together, everything is right in the world. I loved the underlying aspect of this story (Remy's condition) and how Katy Evans proved to us that it's just another obstacle to be overcome. This series has forever touched my heart. One of my favorite series hands down.

It's almost a year since Gaby Winters watched her twin brother die. In the sunshine of a new town her body has healed, but her grief is raw and constant. It doesn't help that every night in her dreams she fights and kills hell-beasts. And then Rafa comes to town. Not only does he look exactly like the guy who's been appearing in Gaby's dreams, he tells her things about her brother and her life that cannot be true, things that are dangerous. Who is Rafa? Who are the Rephaim? And who is Gaby? The truth lies in the shadows of her nightmares.

So this book was completely different from any angel book I have read. After finishing the book, I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. I liked the book, but I felt it was lacking.

Gaby Winters is grieving for the loss of her brother for over a year. She's trying to move on with her life when Rafa comes in and turns her world upside down. I liked Gaby, she was a strong female character yet she wasn't an emotionless zombie. What made me really like her though was that she didn't trust Rafa right away, you could really see her trust in him build as the story progressed. It was refreshing.

Rafa was a sexy arrogant jerk. But he was loyal and trust-worthy. Again, it took some time for me to fall for Rafa and I think that's what made it better. Paula Weston let us know the character before giving us the swoon worthy moments.

The side characters were a mix of love and hate. Obviously the ones on team Rafa were awesome and I loved them and the ones on the other side..grrr I wanted to punch them for their stubborn way of thinking. Even then, both sides were equally bad ass and awesome fighters!

My only remark, and this could be because I'm just a sucker for romance, is that there was very little of it. Like extremely little. I absolutely love Rafa and Gaby and I'm hoping that in the next books their relationship will grow and we get to see a little more of it.

The story of the nephlim and rephaim, is different in this story and although it took a bit to understand, it's a pretty cool concept. I may not have completely loved the story but I will continue to read the next books to see where the story goes. I have a feeling it will get better.

This week has been so hectic. It's finals week guys...and we

all know how that is right?! Constant studying, panicking, and

I'm trying to get back into the rhythm oh blogging

The hardest part though? Is trying to read books for leisure
when I have to read textbooks instead...

JUST LET ME READ MY BOOKS!!! Waaah :(

Anyways, I seem to have a problem of buying books when I

already have 3 or more books that need to be read.

In my head though I'm like "you can never have

too many books" what happens

when I've read all the books I have? I'm going

to need to buy

more books, but in my case, I already bought more books so

I won't have to wait! See? Pretty smart thinking

of me right? :D

If only others saw it that way haha

So I want to start off with saying that before I pick up a book, I usually look at reviews to see what everyone else is thinks about it. When I looked Teardrop up, there was so many negative reviews about it that I was scared...mostly because I had already purchased the book.

I have to say, all the reviews are so critical that it is absurd to me. You can't compare a completely different series with a previous series from the author.

Now, there are some scenes of hard passion for example: "he grabs me and pulls me towards him with such force and kisses me" (this doesn't happen, I'm just using this as an example) some people are so over critical and complain that "Girls shouldn't be treated that way, I wouldn't like that" It is a story folks! It's not real...and some people like to have passion in their love life..jeez!

Now for the actual review, Teardrop was a pretty cool concept. Atlantis? We haven't really had much books on this topic, so I thank Lauren Kate for that because we are slowly departing from the whole vampire/werewolf/angel topics.

The story does take a little while to pick up but that's understandable considering she has to give us all the details and background information. Eureka, yes I will agree with everyone that that name is not a very nice one, was a strong female character, but she was very naive. I'm hoping to watch her grow through out the series. Ander, was a gentleman. I loved the way he dressed and how protective he was of Eureka. Im at the first stages of falling in love with him! Brooks...I'm still confused about what you are. But I didn't like his dramatic change that happened over night. He was sweet and caring and then BAM a total ass! Not quite sure what to make of him yet.

I'm looking forward to see where Lauren Kate takes this new series, hopefully it's just as good as Fallen but with a better ending!!!!

I ABSO-LUTELY love this series!! I am in love with Raffe, I admire Penryn, and I love the concept!

This book starts where Angelfall left off. Right from the start, there is action, death and angels. There was a moment where I was saying "Can't this girl catch a break?!"

I have to admire Penryn's strength. She may be a human but she will protect her family from anything...and I mean anything. We learn more about what the angels are up to and let me just say that it's not anything good.

Now I said that right from the start we have Angels...but we don't have Raffe. We catch small glimpses of him here and there but he doesn't make an appearance until the last 30 pages of the book.

At first I was mad because Hey! we all want Raffe right? But as I kept reading I loved that we didn't get to see much of Raffe. Crazy huh? But it was a great tactic for Susan Ee because it built this tension for Penryn and Raffe when they finally saw each other.

I almost cried when Raffe saw Penryn. It was so beautiful and heart-wrenching and I loved it. I'm so fan-girling at the moment. I love him to death but I want to kick him because he still holds back his feelings for Penryn when it's so obvious he cares deeply for her! Ugh!!

I'm hoping that Susan Ee will release the third installment very soon because I have to know what will happen with the world, with the angels, and of course Penryn and Raffe!!! If you liked the first one, you will definitely love the sequel!!!

So I'm in a conflict with this book... It wasn't the story, because the story flowed great and was pretty intense to keep me interested. My conflict is with the characters.

Gavin Blake, he was perfect. Handsome, polite, determined, and rich (not that that's why I love him, it just helps haha). He was always a gentleman and he was like Edward Cullen without the whole sparkly vampire thing. What's not to love.

Emily. God I wanted to punch her in the face! I could not understand why she was so blind to what her boyfriend was doing and kept rejecting Blake even after he protects her over and over again. She was actually sort of a slut in this novel...It got to a point where everyone was apologizing to her and it was never her fault that I got so mad I stopped reading.

That's never happened to me before! I usually just forget about it and keep reading but this was so bad that I couldn't content until the next day. I was sorta happy the way the book ended because it wasn't a pretty ending. I felt it was something Emily brought on herself and she deserved having Blake ignore her. That's what happens when your a dumb oblivious person! Ugh!! Sorry I get a little worked up when I think about everything she did.

Aside from that, the book was pretty interesting. I feel like the only reason I finished this book and the only reason I'll read the next one is to follow Gavin Blake. He is now a wounded man and I want him to be happy so I'll read to find out!

I would give this book a chance but be warned, if you're like me, you'll be screaming at this chick a lot!

Mine (Real, #2)

Totally worth the wait! Words can not express how much I love this book...Please forgive me for all the fan-girling I will be doing!!!

Remington "Riptide" Tate. My Blue eyed fighter. I am so in love with you that it hurts to think that your are fictional character! I had already fallen in love with you in Real ( Real, #1) but you blew me away in Mine.

Remy was just as possessive, cocky, protective, and completely Alpha male in this novel. The lengths he goes to in order to protect whats his is heart warming. I loved every emotion he had for brooke...even the bad ones. We see a new side of Remy and it's emotional and heartbreaking, I would be lying if I said that I didn't cry.

Brooke, I love her. She's strong, determined, and will do anything for Remy. I honestly do love her, which is why it pains me to say that I spent half the book wanting to slap her. Her emotions were all over the place, and I can understand to a point given your condition (I will not spoil that for you guys!), but yours were too much.

Pete, Riley, Diane, and Coach Lupe add great character to this novel. I think Remy could not be as a great a person as he is without them.

The best thing I love about this book is its concept. Katy Evans took a mental disorder, being Bipolar, and showed that it does not have to hinder your life. IT DOES NOT CONTROL YOU. Katy Evans gave us knowledge on this through a story about perseverance and never giving up and wrapped it up in a package called Remington Tate.

My heart felt satisfied and extremely happy at then end of the novel and Remy and Brook's story will forever be in my heart. One of my favorite series of all times, hands down.

Jennifer Armentrout left a big cliffhanger at the end of Opal (Lux, 3) so I was expecting Origin to be HUGE. And it didn't disappoint!

Origin is a roller coaster of a boo, filled with plenty of action, romance, deception and grief. It amazes me how beautiful Katy and Daemon's relationship is. They are put through trials over the course of the novel but they manage to succeed because they have each other. I won't lie, some scenes were hard to get through and others made me swoon. This is definitely the book where Daemon's character shines!

I won't go into to much detail about what goes on because you should definitely pick up a copy, but there are huge secrets revealed and an even more shocking deception that will leave you with a broken heart.

You wil cri, laugh, kick and scream by the time you are done reading and let me just get this out there...it does not end how we expect. Putting that aside, the book was extraordinary and will satisfy everyone that waited for its release. Now I'm anxiously waiting for the final novel and I honestly believe that it will be Jennifer Armentrout's best one yet!

This book took everything I had read about angels in other books and threw it out the window. The concept about angels being the good guys and fallen angels trying to redeem them selves doesn't exist in this novel. But that's not a bad thing!

The book starts off with Penryn and her family trying to survive in a world were Angels have taken over. Hence...Angels are not the good guys in this story. Penryn is the strength of her family since her little sister is in a wheel chair and her mom is a schitzo. When she encounters a group of angels taking the wings of another she can't help but stare. Unfortunately this costs her and the group of angels kidnap Penryn's little sister while her mother flees. Determined to get her sister back, Penryn plans to nurse the wing-less angel back to health and strike a deal to get him to help her find her sister.

Penryn is just a normal girl trying to get her sister back. I had to admire her determination even when all the odds were against her. Her mentality was always "famlily first" and she stuck by it. She was strong, caring, and always did what was right, even if it meant going against your own kind to save an angel.

Now Raffe...oh my. Carmel skin, black hair, deep blue eyes, and a toned athletic body...swoon! This was one case where I did not mind the attitude at all. Raffe is arrogant, bossy, and hard to read. Raffe agrees to help Penryn and I was pleasantly surprised that given Raffe's attitude, he was shocked and amazed whenever Penryn refused to leave Raffe behind.

I loved this novel because of its originality. The mere fact that the two main characters are true fighters and will fight until the end for their cause. It was different to see Rafee and Penryn learn to truly care for each other through trust and of course through fighting together!

Angelfall is about a journey with an unexpected ally and discovering secrets that not even the high ranking angels new about. This novel does not have an obvious romance but it is there and we get to see a little bit of it towards the end which leaves me wanting the sequel so badly to see where it takes them. There is plenty of action and drama that will leave you cheering for Penryn and Raffe!
